Children loved the pool. Breakfast was great. Small room, no cleaning at all during our 3 day stay. Limited food service during lunch and a nice barbecue at dinner. Location is a bit of, you preferably need a car.

Free parking, near the town centre, good for road trip training

It's a bit remote, but it's just a place to rest on the way. Don't ask for too much. The price is a bit expensive.

There aren't many restaurants in the area. Parking is free, but there is a gate bar so you can park safely.

We had a warm and friendly welcome to the hotel. The staff were approachable and knowledgeable about the area and which was the best way to get around the area. Nice hotel, excellent staff and nice location. The rooms are a bit small for a mercure brand and the breakfast was a complete let down. The breakfast was not a full spread, very limited. They have a good parking that is underground and is common to both Ibis and mercure.

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful! The hotel’s location is in the city center, convenient to many dining options. It is located across from the canal and if your window faces the canal, you will have a pretty view. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

i visited the hotel for one night during my stay in Caen beginning of April 25. the hotel is well located near the touristic area in Caen. other than that there is no more advantage the hotel is providing to it s guests. this hotel is a 4 star hotel, however maybe this is my first time to stay in a 4 star hotel in which its rooms don't have phones so i couldn't call the reception to ask for anything...

Small but clean room. Breakfast ist good. Scrambled Eggs not. You Cook you Eggs yourself is funny. Never seen this in my Life.

It's conveniently located near the station, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is included, making the price economical. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, offering a wide range of menu options. The staff are also friendly.

Stay at Sept2025 for 1night, as a deviation from rouen to rennes. Fantastic, superb spacious room, good breakfast, very kind personnel. Property well located near train / bus station, tram within 50m. Extraordinaire!

A 5-minute walk from the train station. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Nice natural light.  There are many local attractions close by. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants. There are shops in the area that seem to be frequented by local people; they are not necessarily tourist oriented places with junky souvenirs.  10/10 would recommend.

Tiny room but very clean and modern bathroom with hot showers. Great location, central. No lift in the hotel so guests need to carry their bags up the stairs. The lobby receptionist offers help to carry bags. Good for a quick stay with light luggage. Breakfast is basic but they make fresh omlettes. Staff is friendly and speak English

Really nice hotel, modern decor in old building. Not cheap, but fantastic location. We loved our hour and a half in the pool. We figured out the free slippers eventually.

Great hotel, didn’t really get the full experience due to the language barrier , and our room was half way cleaned. The restaurant has no English menu, but the food is amazing , just good luck because theres no English speaker to explain the magnificent flavors they put at the table.

Maurice and I had the “Promenade” (tasting) menu. It was disappointing. The first and second courses were almost identical. The service was not impeccable and - in my view - the menu and wines were overpriced for what was on offer.

This is a delightful hotel perfectly situation in Caen Center within walking distances to everything!! The huge castle, the abbey's, so many restaurants etc. Our room was comfortable, very clean and had a unique design. The Reception staff is so helpful and kind. Definitely try it!!

Good location, friendly reception. Executive Room a tad small compared with our previous experiences. That said, up on the fifth floor, we had two "opening" windows (prefer fresh air to air-con) so that was good! Closed, the room was well insulated re sound. The hotel is very big, but the air conditioning is very hot and almost non-existent. The front desk was willing to give me an extra fan, which solved the problem, but the restroom is still very hot. There are no cars at Disneyland after 12 o'clock at night, and there is no one on the street. It's scary.

The place is remote, there is a long distance from Caen to North Caen, and transportation is inconvenient.

One of those hotels that is so ordinary that you can't remember much about it afterwards. Having said that, apart from being seriously overpriced for what you get - a very cramped room and bathroom - it was OK just for one night until you can find something much better and cheaper.

Small rooms, bar only open for dinner time and a limited menu, cheap, but museum and good resturants a short walk away. Plenty of parking. Normandy beaches close, as is Bayeaux Tapestry. Mont St Michel is a couple of hour drive but worth it. Staff are friendly, the food and wifi are all good. Shops and petrol station nearby - Overall a good stay

The restaurant experience was extraordinary, the reception was the most welcoming, the room was modern and clean. I say, if anyone is in the area, recommend to stay at this hotel and dine at Ivan Vautier. It will bring your Normandy experience on the whole new level . The only issue was our room faced the street and it was noisy all night, had to close the window and then it was ok. Highly recommend...

Nice Ambience with good customer satisfaction

Quiet. Very close to the World War II Museum in Caen. Free parking at the hotel. About 10 minutes drive to the city center. Roadside parking in Caen is very cheap at night. You can park all night at 0.3 euros. It is also close to Bayeux and about 1 hour to Utah Beach.

Enjoyed staying at the hotel which never let me down as a brand of Best Western, the room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and nice. The only issue was the shower did not has its enclosure so the floor of the toilet could be wet and slippery that can create health and safety concerns.

Hotel and pleasant staff reserved for the swimming pool, but closed until April and nothing indicated on the site.

A very comfortable hotel with decent contents and practically in the city center. Helpful & customer oriented staff. I would especially like to note the buffet breakfasts, very varied, quite unexpected for France

Check-in was quick, the room was quiet and clean. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance. The hotel guy was also very friendly and helped to open the door and reminded us of the breakfast time.

Ibis here was the same welcoming hotel as I almost always find with Ibis. When I asked for a good restaurant, the receptionist gave me directions to one, and it was glorious.

This hostel was cute and very clean for the price ! Bresckfast was good, with freshmade orange juice! The style of the building is fresh too !!! People were very nice and the location is perfect near by the city centre, you can do everything by foot. Lots of parking around. Great for working or for a weekend holiday.

A perfect hotel, reminiscent of the Etap of old but a much better standard. Everything perfect at a bargain price. We will stay again next year to explore Caen better.

Loved this hotel so much. I kept booking it and stayed 3 consecutive nights. So chic, so pretty and perfect. Extremely clean and it even has a nesspresso machine and decaf pods. From having stayed in many hotels in Europe, most AC are not very strong. Le Carline was the exception. The AC was extremely cold and pleasant. The rooms are very well insulated so you can’t hear anything that’s going on outside...

Great hotel in Caen Excellent hôtel in a really lovely part of Caen near the Chateau. The rooms were clean and modern and the beds were really comfy. I would definitely come back again. Things to improve would be water available in the room and a shaver socket - neither of which were provided.

Walls were very thin, so you could hear noise from every guest on the floor. Bathroom could have used better cleaning. Be aware that the elevator is very small and doesn't go level to all floors, so if you have a lot of bags, you will need to work around this. Good value for the money, beautiful city.

A clean, moderately-priced hotel very close to public transportation and well-located for walking in the historic centre. Our only complaints are the elevator was out of order and the bathroom was very small, making it problematic for tall people to use the toilet.

Nice location The stay was comfortable and centrally located in an area with many restaurants and bars. We found it interesting that on a Saturday night at 7:00 pm it was difficult to find dinner as most places were serving drinks only at that time.

The room was clean and the staff friendly, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the kettle wasn't clean upon arrival, and two cups were taken away for cleaning and not returned until the next day. It was also very noisy outside at night—many drunk people made sleeping difficult. Overall, the stay was fine, but there is room for improvement, especially in terms of cleanliness and noise pollution...

It's a bit far from the station, but close to the center. There is a luggage storage room. The zasplerie was very late, after 17:00, the first time I encountered this. The breakfasts are the usual French ones.

The staff are amazing, we were treated very well. Most of the staff had a good command of English too, which really helped. I would stay there again, no problem.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, 10 min away from the town center. The rooms were clean but the wifi was very slow even though it advertised super fast internet, the breakfast was poor and you had to boil the eggs yourself. The breakfast price was expensive for what it is, knowing that children are charged half price. The parking was big and free of charge. Overall, good for a 3 star hotel

Rooms clean and tidy, hotel generally well presented. It advertises high speed WiFi which wasn’t working on our floor. When I raised this with reception, the receptionist just kept repeating the password. I explained it wasn’t a password issue but it fell on deaf ears. We were only there for two nights but the hotel was very convenient for parking as we visiting the countryside. Staff were very polite and helpful. I do wish the room had a small refrigerator, just for drinks and medication that needed to be kept cool. Other than that, the room was fine.

We stayed here in 2014 while following my father's footsteps to hill 67 in Aug 1944. Really enjoyed our stay and the front sitting room with a bottle of wine. I would return.

Had two days in Caen exploring the local area. Lovely hotel and easily accessible to get out into the countryside from. Parking is ok, but shared, but they allowed me to put my motorcycle in their garage. All the staff were super helpful. Great breakfast, get better than most! Would stay here again if in the Caen area.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the train and bus stations. The room was small and clean, but the bedside was a bit dusty. There was a non-removable clothes hanger on the bunk bed, which was poorly placed and could easily hit your head. Amenities were limited, with no hair dryer or kettle. Front desk service was good.

Easy check in and staff friendly. Room a little dated and lacked facilities (hair dryer/kettle) but perhaps you could have borrowed from the front desk. Location would be great for the train station. A 20 minute walk into the centre of town. Overall, it met my expectation given the word budget in the name!
