Disappointing & Underwhelming hotel
Unfortunately we arrived at a busy time, therefore check in was chaotic and so was the area outside the hotel due to limited drop off space.
We were a party of 8, travelling in 4 cars. We had previously emailed the hotel a couple of times to book car parking but did not receive a reply. During our drive we had tried to phone ahead to see what the arrangements were for arriving by car but no one answered the phone. On arrival we were informed that they had not received our emails and the car park was full.
Naomi on reception was helpful & welcoming & even carried my heavy bags up the stairs! Our rooms were very comfortable but some refurbishment is needed for such a standard of hotel. In particular the carpets need replacing and the bathroom needed space for our toiletries.
Evening dinner was disappointing in so far as we waited an hour before our order was even taken. We realised there was a function taking place in another room & the hotel appeared to be short staffed. There were only two people waiting on in the dining room. The dining room was reasonably busy and we had pre-booked our evening meal with our booking so it was not a surprise that we were eating at the hotel.
The gentleman on duty was nevertheless polite, smiling, professional & apologetic. The waitress however was not remotely professional to the point of being rude. She may have been stressed due to lack of staff but she may need further training In her role dealing with guests. The food was good but we didn’t get our main courses until 10.00pm having sat down at 8.00pm.
We have visited Honfleur on numerous occasions and chose this hotel as it looks very appealing on the outside. Sadly it did not live up to expectations for a 4* Radisson hotel. On this current trip we travelled across Holland, Belgium & France staying in some delightful places in various establishments and were thoroughly disappointed by our experience in Honfleur. Our previous hotels were of a similar rating but this was by far the most expensive and not worth the money.

Staff really helpful and prime location.
Rooms lack attention to detail; corridors and stairways not cleaned and dusty.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing. Finding the location was a struggle due to an incorrect address on Google Maps, with no guidance provided. When we called ahead to inform reception of our late check-in, the woman answering was the only staff member there and struggled to understand us in French. Even in person, communication was difficult, though switching to English helped slightly. On arrival, we discovered parking had to be booked in advance, something that was never communicated to us—not even during the call. The lack of a lift was another issue, forcing us to carry our luggage to the second floor late at night, which we only learned about by reading the fine print on the website. Additionally, the toilet in the room was uncomfortably small. Overall, it was an unwelcoming experience with poor communication and lack of guest consideration.

Not sure how this hotel merits 4 stars. In price maybe, but nothing else. Unable to check in to our room until 4:30 for a start. Service was mediocre at best.
I understand a historic building has its charm, and I’m more than comfortable paying over the odds for hotels in great locations but the price of this place and the absolute shocking state of the rooms left a lot to be desired. Half the electrics in the room didn’t work nor the telephone to tell them nothing worked. The sinks wouldn’t drain when brushing your teeth.
It wasn’t that hot outside but the room was hot to the point we had 2 fans going and all the windows open. Sadly with the windows open it meant we had to listen to everything going on outside all night long. The walking tours apparently end outside the hotel at 10:30 and then multiple rounds of applause. When we finally managed to get to sleep we were woken at 5:40 by the rubbish collection and the emptying of about 500 glass bottles.
The staff were uninterested with the feedback “it’s an old hotel” then don’t charge such extortionate prices per room.
Would not recommend this hotel.

One of the best hotel in Honfleur, with a warm welcome on arrival. The team is dynamic and attentive. Room was amazing and romantic. An experience to be repeated.

The best service in the world!
We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for New Year's Eve 2023/2024. We arrived on the evening of the 30th, almost 10pm. The city was packed! At check-in our reservation was not found and there were no rooms available... So we were offered a night at “Best Western Le Cheval Blanc - Vieux Port” (the other hotel from the same group) and while we were having dinner in the hotel restaurant we were informed that our reservation was for 30/01/24, i.e. wrong booked date. And worse, no cancellation! Director Mathilde, Manager Lea and attendant Steven were extremely friendly and moved by our situation and did everything they could to help us, including promising to cancel our reservation so that we could be refunded by Hotels.com. We'll definitely be back! And we highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Honfleur.

This hotel is in a great location! It is a beautiful hotel with a rustic feel that is cohesive to the beautiful town of Honfleur. Most importantly, the customer service was top notch. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel when visting Honfleur.

did drink to much so i have to stay in Honfleur . This hotel was the obvious choice . i didn't like the carpet in the corridor . but the night lady who received us was very professional and so welcoming , the room was very confortable , very well decorated. nice breakfast in the morning on the terrasse , with a lot of fresh selection , not a big fan of the sausages served this morning but home made gravlaks was really just perfect . once again staff very professional in the morning . Need to try the spa next time and come earlier to enjoy the place.
