Le Cheval Blanc - Village Montana
Val Thorens, Rue Du Soleil 🧭 Map
The rooms are small and a bit old. After reception closing time the noise starts. Shouting, singing and screaming in the hall ways. Ski room quite unhandy placed so you need to take two elevators to reach it. Go for Montane for more comfort and quality. The price is the best feature by the way.
We are currently staying in a six bed apartment, consisting of a small room with a bunk bed, a slightly larger room with twin bed, and a kitchen-diner-living area with a double sofa bed. Whilst there are enough beds for six people - there isn't a huge amount of storage space so we're living out of suitcases. However, the price is good and there are ski lockers for each apartment downstairs, with direct...
Perfect for it's purpose, don't expect 5 stars but expect well equipped self service apartments. The level of finish is good but not great. The staff are friendly, hospitable and helpful. The best part is the location. Directly on the piste if you get the right room.

Had a wonderful week, 4 seasons i suppose! including the biggest overnight dump I've ever seen, throughout the staff were very welcoming. My son had an impromptu bday party in the lounge with over 40 people, the adults were very well looked after and the kids went mad with joy in the crazy snowfall. Very calm, friendly, and well run place. It was back to business the day after the mayor let us out...
Not a 4 star apartment residence. The rooms are fine and clean and the location is good - right next to a shortcut leading to a central part of town.
However, they do not provide simple things like toilet paper - you have to get your own. The free WiFi barely works.
Definitely not a 4 starts apartment hotel.
Rooms were tiny for a group of people. Tiny bathroom, tiny toilets (my tall friend couldn’t even close the door while sitting). The ski room was also very small and on rush hours were hard to move in.
The stuff and the lobby were very nice, and the balcony was also nice. It could be nice to add some lightning to the balcony and add electricity to the tiny...
Hotel was amazing! The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, well presented and complete with all appliances needed for a self catered week away.
Views were incredible from the room and only a short walk away from the slopes.
10/10 would stay here again!
Rooms basic but great and price matched the standard, so we were very happy.
We do not need fancy and it was clean and had everything we needed.
The beds are however incredibly hard. We are not normally ones to comment on beds so they must be very hard!
Location was exceptional. Best on the piste location I have ever had. Great for start and finish of the day as well as for the evening trips to...

Good location, very polite employees, beautiful view from the window, Close location to the lifts, very tasty food.
We had a fantastic ski week of 8 days stay. The hotel was very cosy and comfortable. Our 2 kids found the game room very entertaining with a pingpong and a biljard table. Just outside is a cosy lounge social area to order drinks. For skiing it's ideal to just step outside on the slopes. We could easily leave and forget about the car the whole week. The room and beds were very comfortable. The staff...
Great Hotel. Fabulous location. Excellent staff and food. The staff are friendly and attentive. We had a couple of minor issues but the staff quickly attended to these and so almost not worth mentioning. Food was very good. Bar is good with DJ chillout tunes. Quite a busy bar over Christmas but still very good. We had two good sized rooms with a shared entrance lobby which was nice and overlooking...
A wonderful stay over Christmas, great food, location and staff. Rooms are compact but impeccably clean and stylish. Hotel is excellently run in every department and the added advantage of having a ski rental shop next door which made life extremely easy.
First time at Val Thorens and decided to book this resort for 6 nights. This is a very convenient ski in/ski out establishment with in house ski rental located next to the entrance. First off : the ski rental staff were first rate. Extremely helpful and attentive in spite of a large weekend crowd. All our gear fit perfectly and we had no issues over 4 ski days. Gear storage is located at the basement...
The concierge is very helpful, location is good.
The sauna closes at 8pm which is bit early, the locker room smells really bad, and two nights out of three we stayed here our room wasn’t cleaned till 4pm!!

This apartment is well situated within the Val Thoren village. Ski in and out from the apartment and the space within is fantastic. 3 bedrooms, three bathrooms and 2 separate toilets. A perfect home for a dream holiday in the French Alps.
Very centrally located apartment complex in a high standard for apartments.
Several of the apartments have large bedrooms with double beds and private baths, also common rooms with fireplace and cosiness.
For the price, though, it's not worth it.

5 stars from here, due to high service and the fact that there are Danes or Swedes in the hotel, the terrace outside is super cozy during the day. Plus you can get a super delicious burger for a very reasonable price.
In addition to that, it is possible to have a breakfast buffet and dinner. When we were there a few years ago, the dinner was 3 courses. You can't complain about that!
Very well situated, nice and friendly staff
Great hotel with access straight to the Piste. Good food for everyone, I would recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel deserves their 5 stars!
Everything about this hotel is FANTASTIC. The staff is the friendliest, customer service is amazing and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous plus the rooms are really spacious. Honestly if it wasn’t because we were skiing I don’t think we would’ve left our room. It was late in the season and the hotel was still staffed. Definitely worth the price, amazing all over.
Perfect hotel in the perfect location with outstanding service. My friends and I had a great time, would definitely recommend this hotel……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
What a wonderful hotel! The location is incredible and very easily accessible. The room is lovely and we had a fantatsic view of the pistes. All the food we ate was wonderful. The breakfast had limited supply, but everything supplied was good quality and tatsy. Dinners were also great and there is enough variety. Supplements are required for some of the meals, but they're reasonable and significantly...
Bar and restaurant: The service at the bar and the restaurant are absolutely amazing. The team is very professional and looking very nice as well. Exceptional place to be. Rooms & hotel: We’ve received an unmatched level of comfort and service from the hotel staff. This is the hotel that delivers all you pay for.. and more.
We recent had the most amazing recently stay at The Firtzroy Hotel Val Thorens. I must say, it was an overall wonderful experience. Nestled at the top of the Les 3 Vallee ski area in France the hotel lives up to its name with a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and relaxation. We had a group of 10 people accommodated all of our needs! The hotel’s location is perfect if you was to just step out...
Every year my sister and I book a week's skiing holiday at a 5 star hotel, and one of the things we look forward to is having varied and delicious 4 course evening meals included in half board. This hotel is well positioned for ski in and ski out. The bar was great and the terrace. We didn't eat in the restaurant only for breakfast which was good if you get there early. Excellent stay and would recommend. Great ski in and ski out , easy short ski down to ski schools. Food was generally very good, especially starters and deserts. Despite an eventful trip—spending nine hours caught in a landslide delay and experiencing an unforeseen incident at the hotel (completely out of their control)—the team at Hotel Le Val Thorens went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Positives - Location was great, walk out of the hotel in the morning and you are on the slopes. Food was great, every evening we had a great meal. All the staff were lovely and always smiling. We stayed at Le Val Thorens for 6 days in January and truly enjoyed our stay. This was our first time in Val Thorens - we used to go to Courchevel before but wanted to try Val Thorens due to better snow and skiing quality (which turned out to be 100% accurate). We decided on Le Val Thorens after reading the reviews and couldn't be happier with our choice. To summarize the positives: - Super helpful...

Have not stayed in a hotel at a ski resort before but this was a completely different experience. Normally we choose self contained apartments at a cheaper price. Tango hotel was amazing though. Fantastic location, really close to the slopes. Great bar and breakfast facilities and the rooms were so much more spacious and comfortable. You get what you pay for here. I loved it.
Great food, great atmosphere, excellent bar and staff- really great week away. Even arranged an early breakfast for our early transfer!
Very cool hotel little hotel. We loved our stay here. Its very young and lively, with a cool bar, lounge and a very nice restaurant. I love that all the rooms have balconies, with exceptional views.
Nice, quaint hotel. Friendly staff, good service. Food is reasonably priced. Ski in n ski out. 2 minutes walk to carpark. Got a room with mountain view. Fantastic.

We stayed in the residence - as opposed to the main hotel- but the room was exactly what we wanted. Clean, tidy, great storage and space with a nice living area and mini kitchen. The staff were excellent and reception, breakfast was superb, and the extra facilities (boot room, ski locker) was very helpful too. Highly recommended.
Great hotel, close to everything. Super friendly staff, ready to help with all we needed, with lots of patience with our crazy toddler running around all the time. Nice Spa, great to stay there after a day skiing. This is our second time there. And we will be back.
The hotel is very nice, comfortable, situated in the Centre of Val Thorens and near the ski slopes. The only observation we had was that the room temperature was a bit on the colder side than expected. The food in the restaurant was of a good variety, delicious and high quality. Visited for a weeks skiing with my son in the last week in March 2025. The hotel staff are very helpful, and the food is amazing - 5 courses every night. Sauna and steam room are a good place to relax after a day on the slopes and the bar area is very comfortable with a cupboard full of games. Val Thorens itself is very lively but we only hit a club once during our stay as we were up every morning...
A review is absolutely necessary for Le Sherpa. We had the best week here, which was a trip for my 30th, from the friendliness of the staff to the amazing food each night. I don't have a bad word to say about this hotel, a few reviews mention the dated decor but it's just traditional chalet style and adds to the coziness of the place. The staff couldn't do enough for us, on the first night we asked...

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Le Sherpa which really lived up to expectations. The evening meals were truly out of this world, exceptional food and the deserts were to die for. Excellent hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious and with great views. Reception staff were incredibly helpful before and during our stay - sorting out everything from ski lessons, passes, restaurant reservations etc. Good quality ski equipment from an on-site ski shop with super helpful staff working there.
Nice hotel good potential. Ski shop great and shuttle drivers great. Rooms don’t get “cleaned” and sheets and towels not changed unless ask. Staff not helpful and spa is extremely poor. Property is very clean and modern, room is decent size. I was worried I’ll hear the lobby party in my room - not even a bit! Plus party ends at reasonable hour, very thoughtful of guests who are tired after skiing.

Friendly helpful staff! Great access piste. Smooth check-in and no hassle with room inspection for example on check-out.
Quite good appartments. Windows aren't the last shout, cold air pass through them, but there's sufficient heating in the rooms. We were three and got a room though for four, and really don't know where was the forth person place... As in some web pages the blankets are not included or cost something we got free blankets, and was a surprise because we took ours and not needed then.
Great appartments on the slope. Pretty good value. Ski out, ski in if comfortable on reds, or ski in +50m walk if ok on blues. Studio appartments perfect for 4 for a week.

This is where we have owned a tiny apartment since 2003. Odalys manages lettings, not us, but are very helpful even though we are not part of them. Recovered my lost keys yday! Still a great pity that our lovely bar au hameau with open fireplace was wrecked by ski Republic.
Clean and well equipped apartments very close to the slopes. Lockable storage for skis and snowboards. Parking is possible on the street for free or in the garage for a fee. Beds were a little hard and the room was not spacious. Overall, perfect for wintersports of you do not have luxurious expectations.
