Reviews
Minibar prices are extremely expensive (even for the baseline of minibar prices).
Staff is very nice and helpful.
Our room could have been cleaner upon arrival (dusty glasses etc.) and we found that poor level of cleanliness was consistent during our stay - not quite dirty enough to complain about, but missed coffee refills and dirty floors/surfaces.
The fondu restaurant was great (booking recommended) but I found the breakfast options to be quite poor (dirty floors and uncovered hot food) and we struggled to find a clean / made table. We also found the main restaurant/bar food disappointing.
All in all, it's a decent hotel with excellent service and a superb location.
*Stayed again in 2024 & won't be returning. Service is beyond terrible - we had house keeping take our cutlery and plates that we had brought from home - even though they were clean and tucked away in an alcove (no problem, it happens) when I called reception to explain the situation & ask for plates to be brought up, they told me to goto the restaurant myself. No effort was made to return the misplaced items.
When we left I called and asked for a luggage cart to be brought to our room, as we were on an inner room it could only be wheeled half way across the atrium. The gentleman bringing it did not offer to help me with loading my luggage on or bringing it downstairs (even though my hand was in a brace).
The drinks in the bar are overpriced and sadly the cocktails just aren't good.
The spa was rarely restocked - no towels and no body wash. (There were also a lot of children jumping off from the side into the pool, which is odd for a spa?).
We paid around 3000 euro for a 7 night stay so this level of service is not acceptable - even in this economy!
1. Water leaked from our bathtub drainage to the floor below and the rude manager blamed us for the damage and wanted to charge us 2000euros! Upon discovery the old dainage pipe was broken and no apologies whatsoever.
2. Also means they don't do any maintenance whatsoever. Beware of building collapsing!
3. Staff at their restaurant were incompetent. Probably seasonnier kids who are employed at minimum wage. One sloppy waitress spilled chicken soup.onto our clothes when trying to cut the chicken. That's the service you get by paying 300euros per night :)
4. Room extremely small for the high price, doesn't worth it.
Stay was from 20 April to 5 May 2019 so dont try to play dumb by saying " I'm sorry we couldn't find such customer in our database"!
Regards from Japan,
Tachi noriko.
