Thank you for your note. While I appreciate the courteous tone, I was hoping for more than a polite form letter.

My concerns weren’t about an occasional service gap but about a pattern of neglect—unavailable amenities, an unattended front desk, and a general lack of accountability. The experience fell well below the standards that once made Best Western a trusted name.

I don’t expect further correspondence or compensation. I simply wanted to make clear why I—and likely others who read my reviews—will be choosing different accommodations in the future.

A three stars hotel that punches its weight above its star ratings. We just completed a four nights stay in this lovely hotel in our first trip to Lourdes to explore the sanctuary and the natural highlights such as the cirque de gavarnie. We purchased the family suite for more relaxation space and it is well worth the money - the suite is newly renovated and very clean. What could have been better would be having stronger water pressure.
The location is perfect for easy access to public transport since we do not drive. The breakfast buffet is OK.

I would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Lourdes. It is only a 15 min walk from the Sanctuary. The desk personelle are very hard working, as they help manage the desk as well as help in the restaurant. They were very nice to us. We were able to store our luggage before we could check in and after checkout until we left on our train. Rooms were clean, comfy, and updated. We had a nice breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. It was convenient not to have to go anywhere else for breakfast in the morning. They had a buffet with a barista to make different coffee options. There is a nice pool and seating area behind the hotel with a great view of the town. The best part is the location. The hotel is directly across from the train station. I was so thankful we booked this hotel when I saw other people dragging their suitcases further into the hilly town.

Very clean hotel with a small but clean and refreshing swimming pool, and a very good breakfast. The staff is a mix of polite restaurant personnel with rude receptionists. Parking at the back is a definite plus. However, NEVER EVER book the cheapest room (called Comfort Room) overlooking the street if you acually want to have some sleep. The costant traffic makes you feel like the cars are passing next to your bed. What's more, it is so small that there is hardly any space to open your suitcase. And don't count on getting an upgrade even if the hotel is half empty. The best thing about the hotel is its cleanliness.

This is an amazing hotel!! The rooms we had were a bit cheaper, so quite basic. However, for us it was enough :). They also had a pool and a nice balcony with an amazing view!! The service was great and the location was very ideal too. It is right across the station, close to the sanctuary, but in a quiet area ensuring you get adequate rest. So, I would totally recommend this hotel :)

Family Visit
We stayed in a family room on the last night of our holiday. We found the hotel to be comfortable, clean and well managed. The pool area is small but lovely. The hotel is well positioned in a quiet area of Lourdes and we could walk to restaurants and the Grotto. We would return again in the furure, without hesitation.

This hotel is deeply understaffed. The receptionist is also waiter in the restaurant besides. No way. The check-in is too long.
The restaurant experience for dinner with my whole family was horrible. A disaster. Never occurred to me before. One hour and 30 minutes waiting until they brought the meals for the children. No meals for the adults. We decided to go. Again, two waiters and only one cook. Completely understaffed and poorly managed.
On one day I arrived in my room at 330 pm to rest and the room was not done yet. We have already checked in the day before. Again, completely understaffed.
This is not a typical Best Western hotel, this is different and for worse.

For the last 16 years, I’ve stayed at Best Western Beasejour when I do my pilgrimage to Lourdes. It is very convenient as it is right across from the Gare de Lourdes (train station) and only a 15 minute walk to the shrine. It is very clean, comfortable and quiet. It also has the best restaurant in the Haute Pyrenees, Le Parc restaurant. The staff, especially Madam at the front desk is always welcoming and friendly. Whether you are a family with children, friends, pilgrim groups, couples or solo travelers like me, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lourdes. It is truly the “Best.”
