Hôtel La Source in Lourdes

I specifically stayed in the Hotel la Source Annexe. The address given on Booking.com of ‘29 rue Latour de Brie’ is incorrect - you cannot get in that entrance, and need to go to the main entrance of the Hotel La Source. If you’re having trouble finding it, just go directly towards the cathedral and then look backwards - you’ll be able to see the sign. The Annexe was a strange experience. I have no problem with basic rooms, but the fact that there was no electricity in the outlet in my room was pretty annoying - I ended up charging my phone while sitting in the hallway using one of those outlets. The bathroom was fine and so was the room, but the way to access the section of the Annexe I was in was bizarre. I had to take an elevator up to another floor (I don’t know if stairs were available), once at that floor, exit the building and walk across a narrow outside space to the next building and find my room from there. Which wasn’t a problem for me, but if you’re going solo in a wheelchair the ledge to enter the building isn’t high but might not be possible. I would recommend the Annexe to anyone who doesn’t require a wheelchair - the price and location were fantastic, but if you do need a wheelchair, definitely don’t go with the ‘Annexe’, but the main part of the hotel should be fine.

Good things: location, literally by the entrance to sanctuary with beautiful views, clean and comfortable beds, daily housekeeping, AC in the rooms, spacious and quiet, more than one lift, close to everything
Bad things: absolutely disgusting smell coming out of the bathrooms, so bad it woke me up one night, breakfast - for 7€ per person it was literally a JOKE, no hot options, and low quality products, very little to choose from, only coffee was ok. Receptionist that we met was rather harsh, not welcoming and didn't give us extra shower gel sachets when asked, which is rather unusual giving there's only one in the bathroom a day.
Overall, it's a rather old establishment but kept in a good condition, it's busy hotel so some things are understandable but that smell has to be fixed somehow and breakfast needs improvement.

Visited this hotel with my mum and a friend, staff are lovely, polite and professional. They speak multiple languages, Italian, French and English fluently. Rooms comfortable but no tea and coffee facilities. Great location to Sanctuary and gift shops. Breakfast was plentiful and worth the money, however dinner lacked variety in meals and was often cold.
