Very beautiful hotel, on-site restaurant that serves Michelin-starred, serving in traditional style using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Stylish and comfortable accommodation, high quality service and professional staff.
Location: Meribel, 17 km from railway station, near the ski slopes, 16 km from the airport in Courchevel.
Consists of a 6-storey building.
The hotel has 38 rooms.

Apart from that it was lovely - great staff, lovely breakfast, helpful ski-shop (but really expensive to hire skis there). But overall I'd expect more from a 5* hotel like this.
The fruit salad was rancid, it must have been at least 3 days old - inedible
The skiing store is amazing though, the workers are friendly, help you with everything and generally a great experience.
The issues begin elsewhere…
There’s no holder for the shower head, so you’re forced to have a bath/ hold the head throughout shower - not comfortable
You would hope a 5* hotel would have the basics executed to perfection.
Le Kalia is a poor example of how a fine establishment should be run. I stayed here for 7 days 27th December -3rd January
It seems like since Covid, this hotel has been struggling to uphold the 5* credit they have. The place has been so bad I checked the reviews whilst I’ve been here and I’ve noticed reviews expressing dissatisfaction over service, not having bookings rescheduled for after Covid. This demonstrates that there is something going wrong and it’s evident during my stay that the service and many other functionalities are very very poor.
I noticed that the French staying would get priority in service and care. There were times when our order was forgotten. The general attitude was cold. I understand the history of the country but I do feel politics should be left outside of hospitality, and reputation and a good experience should be the priority of a business.
Every single room service order was done wrong. To the point we would joke about what would they forget the next time.
We would ensure the order would be read back to us to avoid mistakes and yet we would still end up having to call for something they forgot or basics like cutlery or sugar.
The steam / Sauna is open from 2pm-8pm which makes zero sense. If you do manage to go steam room, wear ear plugs because the steam room ejects the steam like its jumbo jet or a steam engine train. It was so bad we had to get out. The pool was freezing and there was no jacuzzi. Overall spa experience is 3/10 at best.
You pay for what you get in life. For your worries to be taken away, and the little details to be taken care of. This is why when those minimal needs are not met people are upset because I shouldn’t need to worry about those things in a high end establishment. It is clear that this hotel is no longer 5*. Book at your own risk, you’ll become a complaining annoyed individual dealing with the incompetency of the hotel.
It is not a place for those that enjoy luxury and great delivery.
We just stayed there, and we had a Junior Suite. It was pricey, but really nice. The hotel is in the middle of the town, you can ski down to the lift, and ski back if you are coming from Courchevel or parts of Meribel. If you have to walk back, its maybe 300 yards tops.
