Hotel Annapurna

Hi! Sadly this was my birthday trip combined with skiing.
We are staying at the hotel at the moment and more lousy “five star” service is hard to find in my experience. And as far as I’m concerned that they don’t really care for their reputation nor their clientele. Never coming back
Let’s go into details:

First of all, the breakfast is very poor and takes more than 20 mins to get simple fried eggs. In the photos you can see how much salmon they add to poached eggs. The second breakfast photo is an example of a “poached egg” (looks boiled to me).

Secondly, housekeeping. They forgot to lock the door after cleaning the room. So anyone can get in. As we are here with family , we have two rooms and one suite. One of the rooms wasn’t cleaned two days in a row! And in all the rooms they constantly forgot to restock vanity kits. And they move personal belongings from the night stand near the bed and put them on the suitcases (what for ? Only god knows 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Concierge - shuttle service - reaction from the management:

The hotel has shuttle service. So when you go in the center of the village, you can call the concierge and ask for the shuttle to pick you up from a restaurant. So we called the shuttle and the concierge told us you have to wait the regular 10 minutes for it to arrive. We went outside waiting for it to come. But to our surprise the shuttle took exactly 30 minutes to come. Meanwhile I called the concierge asking where is it and they said it’s on the way. After 15-20 minutes, I’ve said arrange us a taxi courtesy of the hotel, it’s not ok to wait outside when it’s freezing (-5 degrees Celsius). And can you imagine what kind of a reaction I’ve got from him? “Ok, but you’re gonna pay for it. The hotel is not!!”.

When we came finally thirty minutes after to the hotel, we decided to speak to the general manager either the duty manager, as it was more than 10 pm already. And can you imagine that a 5 star hotel doesn’t have a duty manager on site? And he isn’t available by phone neither

The girl at the reception was listening to us with a smirk, rolling her eyes and interrupting. She wasn’t looking for a solution of this situation. We asked to call the general manager or duty manager for us specifically. She called the front office manager (which is responsible only for the reception and concierge workers). Who didn’t hear the idea that we needed to speak to the top management.

Not one sorry or a simple apology was heard from the girl on reception. My last words to her was “try adding a word sorry to your vocabulary”.

On the next day the girl from the reception looked me straight in the eyes and didn’t even say hello. Do you call that service?

The last straw was screaming in the hallways at 6 am sharp! And it turned out some “lady” wasn’t paid a 1000€ euro per night. If you know what I mean :)

All in all WOULDNT RECOMMEND!!! Choose a different hotel!

The hotel offers an awful service for giant prices and is not corresponding the level of 5 stars at all. Front desk worker was very unpleasant and even frowning about our nationality. The housekeeping service was not done days in a row, even after we asked for it by phone, neither minibar nor vanity kits were refilled and even the room door was left open by housekeeping. We were also done to wait for transfer from the restaurant in the evening for 30 minutes outside with the small child, while being told that it’s on the way taking less than 10 minutes. After all nobody said sorry and regretted about such awful service and there was not even a manager on duty (in 5 star hotel!). When we asked for more than 10 minutes to contact general manager, we only got a phone call from front desk manager. At night there was some woman in the corridor shouting that the guest didn’t pay her, and I couldn’t sleep. So after all, the apologies from the hotel were 3 brownies from breakfast buffet (which is not more than bread and eggs) brought to my room. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good but I must say something , well tell the waiter with the smoking called raphael stop to put his finger on his nose and then offer to shake our hands

The food ranged from mediocre to barely good during my brief visit (late lunch and dinner). It was certainly pricy. What I saw of the rooms was not worth the money at all.
