Despite glossy reception, this hotel needs a refurb internally. The breakfast, although plentiful, had 'hot' food which was not hot, and the bacon was under-cooked. Could have been good value for money if that were rectified. Our room was laid out with apparently no thought that one bed was too close to a wall to get out, although there was ample space to rectify that, too!

It seems the best hotel in Metz. The hotel is very clean but a little outdated now. The amenities were average and the bedding was not so comfortable. The facilities are good and breakfast is also nice. The location is amazing in the heart of metz with everything around and a mall just beside the hotel. Overall Good experience

Hotel is great, area around it is very run down. The location being in the centre of the city is amazing but the shopping centre it is within is very bad.

The room is quite big, but the surrounding area is fenced off due to municipal construction. It took me a long time to find the entrance.

Staff at reception were very helpful. The bedroom was as expected in a Mercure and the bathroom of a reasonable size. Pillows were however too thin and it was rather hot at night with heavier duvets still in use despite the Spring weather. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, where staff were again very helpful. The bread rolls at breakfast were disappointing; surely a good baguette should be available...

A good hotel, everything in order from the reception to the parking and the breakfast. The bar/restaurant is OK, not too pricy and I would consider going here again if I am on the road. It's a nice, quiet corner of Metz, just a short distance from the centre.

Strong A/C. Comfortable bed. The room is spacious. We stayed here a few times because it's close to my daughter's school. The front desk lady manager and Wyatt were very helpful. The dinner at restaurant was delicious. The dessert was the most delicious one during our two months stay in France.

We booked three rooms and were very satisfied. The price was only over 600 RMB, but the room was very large, clean and tidy. Two bottles of water were given as well as breakfast, but I didn't eat it, so I don't know how it was!

The hotel looks quite new and therefore was clean and modern inside. the staff were very friendly and chatty. On arrival, we initially drove past it as it’s on an industrial estate and the lighting in the area is poor. The Best Western sign could be bigger and illuminated to give better visibility at the car park entrance. But other than that, it’s a great hotel.

A former military stronghold from 1558, this is an amazing hotel located 5 minutes from the historic town center. My room was huge and nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. Nice place in a decent location. Very close to a couple historical points of interest but a short walk from the old Town with shopping and historical sites. The restaurant food was good, room service was fast, amenities were good. The layout and design are great, lots of space in the rooms and a separate toilet from the shower and sink.

Great location but… It’s a very well located hotel. It’s an old building so it has no elevator, so you need to carry your luggage up to 3 floors (like in my case). Since it’s an old building as I said , the steps of the stairs get narrow at the top, without luggage it’s not bad, carrying the luggage gets tricky. This hotel room was amazing, excellent view of the cathedral, lovely furnishings and super quiet. Has a kettle and cups for making tea. Staff very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good. Just one thing, our rooms air con/heating, had a weird loud intermittent buzz sometimes, especially noticeable at night. But overall a marvellous place to stay.

Great little hotel which is so convenient with small car park, street parking, easy to walk into the lovely centre of Metz and a riverside outlook. Staff and service were great, hotel was clean. We booked for a double roome with 2 beds, it is a very small room (yes, I knew this in advance) but since we only stayed for 1 night only. that was fine. For business trips, the hotel is very conveniently located, close to the city of Metz, and very convenient for travel. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has good service, which is worth recommending.

Location is good. Staff is friendly. Rooms are small but clean and decent but I wouldn't describe it as comfortable. Pillows are polyester and the mattress is pretty hard. Breakfast was not good. The coffee was bad and the machine ran out of milk and I think coffee beans as well as it was only brown hot water. I have stayed at this hotel several times and it is always clean, comfortable and well priced. The breakfast is also very good. The hotel is very well located in the centre of Metz, five minutes walk from the Cathedral and lots of good restaurants.

Nicely located in the city center. The team of the hotel is very friendly. Hotel would need a bit of an updated as the room isn’t nicely layout. Room relatively small. But in general nice experience.

Central location small rooms distant parking If you want a hotel in the centre of Metz this is for you. However the car parking is not at the hotel and involves a 5-minute walk in this case in the rain and the rooms are quite small.

If you have a car it is a bit tricky to organize access to the hotel, and parki g is off site with a bit of a walk. But the lovation is perfect.

The hotel is ideal for exploring the city, with everything within walking distance or a free shuttle bus to the city center. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly; we received excellent advice on sightseeing, etc. A wonderful discovery of Metz and a warm welcome!

A delightful find, and finding wasn’t easy as address does not work with satnav. Beautiful lodges in wooded grounds and an excellent restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel was a fantastic experience! We stayed in a themed room that had all of the amenities you’d need. The grounds were well kept and peaceful and we had plenty to do including a tennis court, a spa, walking trails, oversized chess and checkers, and boats. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it!

The accommodation aims to exude luxury, and although you can enjoy a good meal at the restaurant, it doesn’t quite feel like you’re in a luxury resort. The overall appearance is missing that final touch. There are many facilities, but I don’t think they’re all necessary. Invest in more cottages and make sure the basics are well taken care of.

An old hotel close to the centre of Metz and the train station. Positive points include an excellent breakfast and the possibility for secure car parking close to the hotel. The rooms were clean and of decent standard, but a tiny bit worn. The only minus was the lack of air conditioning, as the rooms get very hot even with moderate summer temperatures outside.

We made a stopover here heading from England to Italy and again on return. The hotel is quite small (boutique, I would say) but perfectly adequate. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was enjoyable (really nice coffee) and was very timely, as we were a bit rushed for morning departures. The staff were excellent. Parking is an issue. Its cheap, clean & comfortable for a one night stay whilst travelling. If you are using UK travel plugs they go in upside down. Some of mine didn’t go in at all. Petrol station & plenty of places to eat in nearby

The room is small and the equipment is average. It's an express hotel. There are two supermarkets and KFC within a 5-minute walk. There is a good Chinese buffet 15 minutes walk away.

Unfortunately, the pictures don't reflect reality. The hotel is worn and worn out. There's mold or rust in many places. Nevertheless, everything is spotlessly clean. The location is truly extremely central and very quiet. The pool wasn't filled and looked terrible.

You get what you pay for The hotel is in good conditions. For a 2 star I think it has everything it needs : nice rooms, WiFi, nice staff, elevator that works, hot water and nice a view.
