Residence Antinea in St. Malo

We were recommended this hotel by our friends who have stayed there for many years. The location was perfect, easy walking into St Malo. The staff were attentive and helpful. This hotel probably was the least value for money I have ever stayed in. On arrival we were shown our room which cost £550 for four nights, it was minute, no space for our luggage, we asked for twin beds which were provided but had to be pushed together due to the size of the room. We asked for a larger room, this was found in the next-door hotel (Hotel Jersey) but at an extra £20/night, we reluctantly agreed. The new room was slightly larger, longer and reminded us of a camper van, but it had a veranda. Parking was extra at £2/night. Breakfast was extra too at £30/day!! I must admit that I thought it was £15 for two, my mistake!! All this came to £757/four nights = £189/night, not good value for money in fact an absolute rip off! I cannot recommend this hotel.

We were disappointed with this hotel. The 4-night room that we had paid for was so small, not good value for money. We were offered another in the next-door hotel, Le Jersey, it was bigger but by not much and cost us an extra €20/night. It was like staying in a camper van, very long but it did have a balcony.
The Wi-Fi was poor. Parking cost €2/night.
Make sure you had paid for the breakfast (I thought, by mistake I had!), which was good - so it should be at €120 for the stay!
We felt ripped off at €190/night.
Not recommended.
