The location is excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were very disappointed that the lift proving wheelchair access to the bar was out of order, and had been for a long time. The room upgrade was welcome but did mean that space was limited.

We booked this hotel via their partner Brittany Ferries seamlessly. Prior to the visit I double checked a few details such as parking and asked for help to get the perfect fine dining for the Bastille Day evening. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful and in particular we must say a big thank you to Jennifer in reception. The whole hotel is stylish not boutique or corporate but individual. Very well thought out design and facilities. The whole place from car park to public area toilets to reception and dining area and rooms were exceptional. My only lament is the same one n many establishments. *Single beds are for children and adults should have twin small doubles. * I’m sure I’m not alone in being happy to exchange less floor space for an adult sized bed ! The location is superb on the esplanade overlooking the sea, we didn’t use the pool but other folk did and it looked great. The food was really great for breakfast and decor very relaxing, modern and comfortable. Will definitely visit again.

We spent two nights here as a post-river cruise extension. The locaiton was great! It was about a 5 min. walk to the walled city, which is where lots of restaurants are located. Our room was on the back side, with a view of the inner harbor. The room is small, but that is typical for European hotels. We had a separate room for breakfast for our group. While the selections were as varied as at some hotels, I found plenty to eat. Food was good. Service was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked well. Our room was quite and we slept well.

For an expensive hotel, it leaves a lot to be desired. There was hardly any closet, so a rolling rack was brought in. The phone was inside the same cabinet as the fridge! A large window with a see-through curtain was in the bathroom and faced the living room area. The shower had such a slick floor that we had to lay down towels so we would not fall. Why was a rubber mat not provided? We did enjoy the nearness to town and the beautiful view of the ocean. Of course, some of these things are structural and can not be changed, but others are just poor management.

It's hard to know what to say about our stay at Oceania. We had a beautiful room with a sea view, the location was great and very close to the walled old town, the breakfast was delicious and the swimming pool was warm. The stay felt luxurious. However it ended on a sour note for us as we realised on our penultimate day that something was missing from our room since the cleaners had come. It was a paper bag with a couple of inexpensive gifts, one wrapped in newspaper at the top. Not something I would imagine anyone would want to steal but perhaps might have thought was empty and thrown away by mistake. As soon as we realised this we raised this with the hotel. They were quite vague with what they planned to do to address this and said they would check with the cleaner the next morning, our last day. When speaking to the manager the next day they basically denied that anything could have happened as the policy is not to throw anything away that's not in the bin. However, we didn't remove the bag from the room and it definitely wasn't there when we packed. The hotel offered no apology, no solution, no empathy towards having an item go missing. I admire their defence of their staff, however they would not entertain any other possibility of the issue being their problem. For this reason, I would not stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to others.

Lovely weekend at this hotel. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and location was perfect for accessing the old town and port. We enjoyed the sea view but the room was never in the sun and the balcony was a little chilly and noisy because of the traffic on the cobbled street below ( we were on the 1st floor) The room was spacious and comfortable as were the bed and bathroom and lots of nice touches. We would have liked ceramic mugs rather than the small cardboard cups as we kept having to wash these out to reuse. Only 2 teabags but staff gave us more when we asked. An extra litter bin by the coffee maker would have been good too. The pool was nice and warm and we also enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room . Breakfast was a bit expensive but great choice and delicious .

A wonderful stay! Everything about this hotel was fantastic: the incredible ocean views from the Evasion Room, comfortable beds, excellent shower, friendly staff, the little extra touches such as the welcome treats, and beautiful, clean, updated and thoughtful room design. Perfect location, just across from the water and only 5 minutes to the old town. One of our favourite stays in a long time.

I loved the location of the hotel and the staff was nice and friendly. The hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was nice. Unfortunately, I was not at all impressed with the room set up. I found the bed uncomfortable. There was no desk to put things on, or chest of drawers for clothing (a few open shelves that were awkward to put things on), and no nightstand next to the bed (either side) to put glasses or a book or chargers on. There is easily room to put a table there, but the hotle chose not to. I can't imaging why. There is also a reading light on only one side of the bed which I found strange and annoying.

We stayed for two nights , had a wonderful time. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the sea view is stunning. The rooms would be perfect with proper coffee cups and another litter bin. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room are welcome after active days. Thank you for a wonderful time

Great location with plenty of parking within a short walk. Room was recently renovated to a high standard. Shower is clean and powerful. A great stay!
