Hôtel Villa Cosy in St. Tropez

We reserved this villa because it was advertised as having connecting rooms, which was an important factor for our stay. When we arrived, we quickly realized the setup was nothing like what we expected. For a family traveling with children, this arrangement is far from practical and certainly not what most people would understand as “connecting.” The description felt misleading and gave us the wrong impression when booking. If the details had been presented accurately, we would have chosen a different property. Unfortunately, the lack of clarity left us very disappointed.

We had high expectations for Villa Cosy, but unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed – especially with the cleaning, which was completely unacceptable. Most shockingly, the cleaning staff had treated our toothbrushes so carelessly that they were thrown into a dirty sink. That is simply inexcusable. In general, the room was not cleaned properly. It’s clear that hygiene standards are far too low. The hotel provides filtered water in bottles in the rooms, but the bottles are not properly cleaned, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness. The rest of the staff did a decent job, but that doesn’t change the overall impression of a hotel that feels more like a mediocre 3-star place – and seems to be run by unprofessional management. Villa Cosy does not live up to the standard one should expect from a luxury hotel. We will not be returning.

Had we known this in advance, we absolutely would have chosen a different accommodation better suited to our family’s needs. This experience was not only frustrating but also left us feeling misled by the lack of clarity in the listing. We hope the property takes immediate steps to correct this description so that future guests are not caught off guard in the same way.
