It remains the most wonderful place I’ve stayed in Val Thorens, with very easy ski out/ski in service. Food was wonderful, and the entertainment every evening was filled with good music and good vibes. I look forward to coming back skiing again soon!

Had a lovely time at this hotel, was not expecting the quality of this hotel to be so high. Good location, ski in ski out, good food and service. Will return here with my kids, but would ask for a room away for the bar and restaurants as it can get quite loud.

It’s a perfect location and one of the best ski in and out location of the resort. Hotel services are very good. Rooms, ski room and restaurant areas are very comfortable. Had a very nice stay with my wife and our three-year-old. All the hotel staff are very helpful. They are willing to go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. For example, it is hard to get a taxi here, the hotel shuttle bus is not usually available during 12-3pm (break time), but when the hotel manager learnt that we have too much ski equipment to bring back with the kid after our lessons,...

Hotel is very good, satisfies 4 stars quite well. The only minus ski-in is from red slope not suitable for the beginners. Breakfast is excellent. But the restaurant for lunch is big disappointment! We took risotto, it was not cooked and pork chop dry inside, over-burned outside, full of fat, accompanied tasteless salad and potatoes. Service was good though.

exceptional staff service, in particular the ladies at the front desk Anne-Laure went above and beyond by booking restaurants and helped to organise a special birthday surprise for my girlfriend upon arrival at the hotel.

Upon arrival my car was taken away to be parked. My luggage taken care of and room was upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. Location is superb. Spa area was fantastic. Our 13 years olds went on their first skiing holiday without mum & dad. On their first night when one of them was sick with tommy bug, in the middle of the night, the staff on duty were amazing in how they made her feel secure and at home with their kind care and parental attention. As a parent back home in London I was immediately reassured-big big thank you to Pashmina and their wonderful staff

For ski in ski out it doesn’t get better! The staff was very helpful with arranging transportation when needed, the hotel is very well equipped with good ski rental shop and found me the best mountain ski guide of my month long European trip to 4 different countries and resorts.

One of the best hotel I've been to. Everything is beautiful, the spa is incredible with outside Jacuzzis. The breakfast is delicious with a lot of choices. Ski in ski out is really comfortable.

Location is great, however the hotel itself lacks some amenities, such as a hot tub in the spa, also, the wet sauna in the spa was broken and wasn't fixed for the entire week we stayed. Minibar prices are extremely expensive (even for the baseline of minibar prices). Staff is very nice and helpful.

This place is fantastic! The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. The included breakfast has varied choices including vegan and gluten free - more than enough to fuel a full day skiing. The location is central so it's easy to wander around town ands it's ski in and out. The rooms are a little dark but otherwise well appointed and just roomy enough.

The location is superb, staff are lovely and I really enjoyed the retro 70's branding; our slope facing room was a nice size with good storage. It was a shame there was no furniture on the terrace to enjoy the view; but the TV's have chrome cast which always makes us happy! A lovely hotel in a perfect location in Val Thorens with great decor. The pool and spa facilities look out onto the mountain. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The car concierge service is a great when you arrive in the winter months.

Overall, myself and family had a great stay here. We found most of the staff polite and helpful (though it did seem to be an effort for one of the restaurant staff to fix a table booking error (that they made)), but it didn't effect our general experience. Stayed here for 3 nights. Nice hotel, friendly staff and great location for skiing ⛷ as boot room is right at the ski school. It also has a ski shop restaurant and bar. Breakfast was fine and the bar after skiing was ok albeit service was a bit slow. Rooms were a bit small and bathroom was tiny but no big deal when skiing all day. Lovely modern hotel with direct access to slopes. Rooms are nice and modern (small, but perfectly fine). Staff all very friendly. Breakfast is great. As is the bar area. Would happily return and recommend.

Fantastic hotel with amazing skiing right on the doorstep. Ski school ESF is directly in front of the hotel, so ideal with kids. Rooms not big but were very comfortable and clean. Facilities include lockers for ski storage and a sauna/steam room to recover after a day on the slopes. Absolutely fantastic stay for 4 nights in early December. We had the prestige suite which sleeps 5 people comfortably. We only had 4 of us and it was more than enough space. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment at Kashmir. The absolutely best thing about this residence was the convenience! Properly ski in/ski out with a ski shop for rentals and a boot room right on the side of the slope. So convenient with our young children. The reception area was lovely too for a drink in the evening whilst kids could play board games, making it more social than many others we have stayed...

Really friendly and helpful staff. Great space in the accommodation for the three valleys. Nice (but but huge) pool for the kids to play in and a choice of saunas. Ski in/ out with good size ski lockers. Only thing I could think of to improve would be to be closer to the centre of the resort, but the walk to the supermarkets is pretty easy as is getting to the lifts etc. Awesome stay 😊

Good location (on the slope), good facilities (Sauna, Pool, Ski-room) the apartments are highly equipped and designed nicely, the only issue is the cleanliness level of the apartments and hallways which is very moderate with tendency to low.

Nice authentic hotel in the upper part of Val Thorens. Parking is scarse, but a nearby public parking offers a decent alternative. Service is good, food is also quite OK. The setting is that of a nice typical wooden chalet, with all sorts of authentic props! Spa is decent, only the sauna outside was but 55 °C when we went in.

Just had a wonderful ski week in Le Sherpa Val Thorens. The general atmosphere was relaxed, cosy and welcoming and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We stayed half board and the food was also really lovely. We were grateful to all the bar and restaurant staff who worked very hard to provide excellent friendly service throughout the week, with special thanks to our lovely waitress Pauline.

The hotel was very good very nice very cool. Whoever gives this a bad review is instantly invalid and a straight up hater. Food was epic rooms were epic service was epic and the fact you could ski in ski out is also epic. The owner was welcoming and cool as well as his son (very epic). I strongly recommend anyone visiting Val Thorens to stay here in fact I say you MUST stay here. 10/10 would come again

Great hotel with an excellent restaurant, although some rooms could use a bit of renovation. Overall had a nice experience staying here.

The walls are pretty thin, the beds are comfortable, but the pillows aren't peticulaly good. The saunas are great and the pool is pretty nice.

We had a comfortable three bedrooms self catering apartment, two en-suites, balcony and everything needed, clean and easy manage. Swimming pool, steam room and sauna is added bonus, great after ski activities. It’s located at the top of the hill, kept us walking a bit, we might choose to be somewhere closer to the activities give choice. The public area such as lobby, staircase feels a little rundown

Great hotel. Nice staff and good spacious rooms. Sauna steam are nice after a day on the slopes. Breakfast can be delivered free of charge. Distance to town justifies the price. But not to far away.ski out is ok but ski in can be tough.

Hotel is clean and well equipped, staff are helpful and the room is lovely. Could be more easily accessible from the slope but it's not too bad.

5 stars from here, due to high service and the fact that there are Danes or Swedes in the hotel, the terrace outside is super cozy during the day. Plus you can get a super delicious burger for a very reasonable price. In addition to that, it is possible to have a breakfast buffet and dinner. When we were there a few years ago, the dinner was 3 courses. You can't complain about that!

Great hotel with access straight to the Piste. Good food for everyone, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Overall the best wintervacation I had, weather was exquisite, hotel was clean and accommodated to handicapped people. Staff extremely helpful and kind, also the kitchen was terrific. Location was superbe, only 15m and you can lay down the ski's to strap in. Also very tidy cleanup of our rooms, meticulous change of bedsheets and pillows. To summarize, a recommendation! :)

I was here in the winter, very good place to stay in. The food and the bar and the activities there are nice. Good rooms with heating and hot water. There is a cable car from the bottom of the ski area right to the ski room and there is a blue ski track from the ski room right to the main area so its very convenient. Great location for ski in and out and a cheap bar but that's about where it ends. The food is average at best, no hot drinks at lunch and really unhelpful staff especially in the restaurant. The rooms are ok, clean bit very very small. The lockers are useless as well, so don't leave anything valuable there like skis or boots, except you have to otherwise the unhelpful staff will shout some random French...

I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner in La Cave, it was amazing. Tasty, friendly service, amazing quality and fair price. I recommend it as it has innovative recipes, nice wines and original desserts. The waiter advised us with the dishes and the wine selection, he was very lind and attentive wirh all the tables, even if the redtaurant was quite full. The relation quality-price is also great.

Had a wonderful week, 4 seasons i suppose! including the biggest overnight dump I've ever seen, throughout the staff were very welcoming. Not a 4 star apartment residence. The rooms are fine and clean and the location is good - right next to a shortcut leading to a central part of town. However, they do not provide simple things like toilet paper - you have to get your own. The free WiFi barely works.

Definitely not a 4 starts apartment hotel. Rooms were tiny for a group of people. Tiny bathroom, tiny toilets (my tall friend couldn’t even close the door while sitting). Hotel was amazing! The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, well presented and complete with all appliances needed for a self catered week away. Views were incredible from the room and only a short walk away from the slopes. 10/10 would stay here again!

A bit overpriced for what it was. Apartment was nice enough, fairly basic. Thin walls could hear the person next door snoring all night. We were on 5th floor and struggled to sleep as apartment above seemed to be stomping around in ski boots all hours of the night and early morning (I’m assuming there’s just no carpet up there and they had kids up early) but it was pretty loud. I do not give the place 5 stars. Although the apartment is spacious, room cleanliness was reasonable. Some of the pots and pans are neither clean nor usable. The way to ski is not suitable for beginners. The pool is not heated enough. Toilet paper, bath soap and shampoo should be brought to the apartment. Changing towels once a week. The rooms are small and a bit old. After reception closing time the noise starts. Shouting, singing and screaming in the hall ways. Ski room quite unhandy placed so you need to take two elevators to reach it. Go for Montane for more comfort and quality. The price is the best feature by the way.

We are currently staying in a six bed apartment, consisting of a small room with a bunk bed, a slightly larger room with twin bed, and a kitchen-diner-living area with a double sofa bed. Perfect for it's purpose, don't expect 5 stars but expect well equipped self service apartments. The level of finish is good but not great. The staff are friendly, hospitable and helpful. The best part is the location. Directly on the piste if you get the right room.

Portillo is a tilt slab echo chamber of stomping, screeching, smashing, crashing and shouting. Bring ear plugs.

Have not stayed in a hotel at a ski resort before but this was a completely different experience. Normally we choose self contained apartments at a cheaper price. Tango hotel was amazing though. Fantastic location, really close to the slopes. Great bar and breakfast facilities and the rooms were so much more spacious and comfortable. You get what you pay for here. I loved it.

Very cool hotel little hotel. We loved our stay here. Its very young and lively, with a cool bar, lounge and a very nice restaurant. I love that all the rooms have balconies, with exceptional views.
