Kyriad Villefranche Sur Saone

The hotel is in a great location and the receptionist was lovely, hence the 2 stars. But the rooms are so small that you can't even open the door fully to get in, as the bed is in the way. There is about 40cms of space around the bed, and maybe a metre square in front of the bathroom which is about the size of an airline toilet. I wouldn't mind if this was a €40 budget motel, but this is nothing like the other Kyriad's I've stayed in, which are all usually very good.

Parking payant et places minuscule, chambre petite mais silencieuse, salle de douche ...pour personne de petite taille( accès douche limité par le lavabo, radiateur derrière le wc imposant une position inconfortable, coincé entre le lavabo et le radiateur . ) le point positif de la chambre : la télévision.Petit déjeuner insignifiant Une fois, pas deux.

L'hôtel est situé en plein centre ville. Le parking en sous-sol coûte 12,95 euros pour une nuit avec un digicode, donc parking sécurisé. Par contre les places sont très étroites et il n'est pas évident de se garer surtout quand la lumière s'éteint en pleine manœuvre. Attention, le parking est partagé et l'hôtel ne dispose que de 7 places indiquées au sol avec le logo de l'hôtel. La chambre (437) est assez petite, propre mais vieillotte, surtout la sdb où une brosse pour les toilettes aurait été la bienvenue. Il y avait un plateau de courtoisie mais les sachets de thé avaient l'air tellement vieux que nous avons préféré nous en passer. La climatisation était si difficile à régler que nous avons préféré dormir sans et la chaleur nous a bien incommodés pour dormir dur dur de reprendre la route. Le petit déjeuner est très basique, une seule sorte de pain, pas de pain complet, pas de brioche, les croissants sont très gras, industriels. Pas de variété au niveau des fromages, une corbeille de fruits dont certains plus que mûrs… Enfin une petit musique d'ambiance ou une tv aurait été agréable dans la salle du petit déjeuner. En conclusion, je n'y retournerai pas.

Stayed here whilst travelling home from the Alps, we normally stay in Villefranche (which is a very nice town) and unfortunately the hotel we normally stay in was full so we had to stay here. Sadly this is a contender for one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The parking is in an extremely cramped underground car park and if you have a large car you will find it very difficult to park. When we arrived at reception rooms had not already been assigned to us and the receptionist took ages to check us in and give us our keys. The rooms are very small and the bathrooms are so small that you can barely move and certainly not reflective of the photos on the website. Given the price (nearly €100 a night) this was very disappointing. When we arrived for breakfast which was supposed to be available from 7am which we needed as we needed to leave for onward travel we found it was not ready and we needed to wait another 15 minutes for staff to have it prepared. Will definitely not be staying here again.
