The best hotel in Crête! So good came back a second year running. Great service and excellent management. Marili and her staff are very accommodating and friendly and helpful with any needs you may have

The rooms are unusually spacious, much above the average and the beds are super comfortable for a good night's sleep

Honestly, of the best dining experiences in Crete! The fish soup, the meat and souvlaki, the salads, the bread that is made is the hotel, the fruits and desserts, all were off the scale yummy! If we had stayed there any longer we would need to go on a diet ;) The staff was also extremely kind, giving a sense of original Greek hospitality without being pretentious

10/10 experience! Just for your holiday plannings: the beach is really close and lovely, just make sure to take swim shoes with you - the pebble sand gets extremely hot and the sea bottom itself is very rocky 😊nothing to do with the hotel but good to know

The rooms are spacious and comfortable and modern. Some even have a private pool as you can see in the picture. One of the best things about the hotel is attention to detail and constant improvement

If you are lucky enough your afternoon around the magnificent pool will enchanted by Olympios mandoline and songs. Breakfast are following a tight schedule but the food quality is premium

I like everything there: the rooms, the breakfast, the garden, the hospitality of Olimpios (the owner of the hotel), the swimming pool

I've stayed at this hotel three times. It is my favorite hotel on the island of Crete

excellent food! home made fresh meals. It's 11 minutes of easy walking on flat terrain to main street and the beach. there is not ANY disco under the windows for whole night. you have all you need in the hotel

Good hotel with pool, very friendly staff. Wifi does not work however and walls are extremely thin. Power sockets and electricity were not working properly in the room

My mom and I have come here 15 years in a row at the beginning of summer. It feely so welcoming seeing the three brothers who one the hotel and most of the staff every year again. Other guests also come back every year

drink bar, restaurant, garden swimming pool 20 meters nice under the palms. few times a week there is an event in restaurants garden - concert , movie etc. It's not so noisy and crowded like the centre of the village

Accomodating people. When ac was broken they tried to fix same day and offered (with some prodding) a new room. Very helpful staff and great breakfast. 15m walk to the beach. Stay here.

The food is homemade and very delicious. They show a grand variaty of typical greek food, and always a vegetarian option. The rooms are clean and contain everything you need

Tasty breakfast with many options, good location, easy and free parking. The big dog that wanders at the hotel reception can be bit scary but he was calm and obeyed the owner. There was a fridge in the room.

I had a lovely time in this beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly and the property is very well kept. The beach is only a five minute walk and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area

10 min walk from beach. Tasty breakfast. Small swimming pool available. Public parking available only however there a lot of free places to park.

This is a great little hotel at 10 minutes walk from the center of Matala. Nice rooms, great looking pool, delicious breakfast and lovely hosts

They also have plenty of parking spaces and a big fluffy bonus for dog lovers!

Even the food was fine, while the only *very* bad thing was the house wine included in the all inclusive. The quality/price ratio is incredibly good - our bedroom even had a great view on the sea

I can't even start to describe how magnificent the landscape and the sea are, or the fact of sunbathing on the cliffs almost alone, the swimming pool from which you dominate the cost and the promenade in the mountains above

Absolutely beautiful trip! We went for a week 23rd Sept- 1st October and had the most amazing time. The scenery is beautiful, 3 pools as well as the stunning beach area. There is plenty of sun beds at all pools

The cleaners came everyday and cleaned our room and gave us fresh bedding, even noticed how we were changing the bedding for our comfort and started doing so, lovely little touches

The staff are all so happy and lovely can not do enough for you. The rooms were spacious, I do agree with some of the reviews that the bathrooms could do with a slight update

Of course, you can't expect a Maldivian resort, but it would be ridiculous to do so for about 50 € /person per night, all inclusive, in high season

The room with seaview and the shower was nice and clean. The staff was professional. But the breakfast was not very good arranged. What a waste to not have as a buffé!

Hotel is in almost front of the beach (Main Street is between hotel and beach). sea view rooms have a picturesque view. Definitely would stay again to that hotel. Covid protocols are applied 100%

We just stayed in Plakias for a few days and we ate our / lunch. The food was really great ( sea bream and lumb. Stuff was kind and attentive and knew English very well

Small hotel in the center of Plakias with a nice pool and excellent breakfast! The staff is friendly, rooms are small but always clean. I would recommend this hotel for pairs, friends or single travellers.

We spent 10 wonderful days in this charming and peaceful hotel. Furniture is made of beautiful wood which is relaxing! Swimming pool has 1 area for children and 1 area to swim. Beach and shops are only 150 meters away

The most amazing hotel in Plakias! A true gem! Built in 2018 the rooms still have a “new feeling” with modern decor in white and light wood colours! The rooms and spotless and the staff are super friendly

Insects are quite noisy, throughout day and night so take your ear plugs if you're sensive ;) As a couple we would have loved one big mattress instead of 2 single beds put together but that's bearable

Large rooms, very clean, good size pool. Close to nice taverns and the long sandy beach. Rooms in the back are more quiet ( far away from the pool) as the sound proof is not that good

Had an excellent stay at the Apollon Hotel. Very friendly, clean and relaxing

Bed is very hard. Pool very good,but some put towels out in the morning and don't use the sun loungers until later in the day. This shouldn't be allowed. Good pool bar.rooms are good n big. Aircon is 6 Euro a day.

Staff were great, Maria, jack and Clarissa (who did try to teach us Greek) only did learn yamass 😄 pool area was quite, which we liked however think that was just with covid. Met lots of nice people during our stay

What would need a change is the bed mattress

Good, clean and tidy hotel, very comfortable. Although not included, the AC is very effective. All inclusive serves up a limited alcoholic repertoire, very good iced coffees and the most amazing food

Eva, Dimitri and the extended family made me very welcome from Day 1. Returning after a year’s break it felt like visiting family again. The hotel is always clean and tidy and nothing is too much trouble for the staff

The Thalassi Taverna is always a great venue in the evening even when there is no entertainment. Will defo want to be going back next year

Eva, Demitri and all the Staff make you feel like family. For a 3 star hotel this place is 1st class. My wife and I run our own catering business and understand food and the food here is outstanding

Eva runs the hotel, and is a font of knowledge, if she does not have the answer immediately she will find it for you, and if she does not have the appropriate map she will draw you one

Very clean and good priced, to bad the air conditioning wasn't included also they ask for extra money to use the sunbeds, i rather pay a little more to have it inclusive instead of an per day based price

People are very kind and the dog lily is very sweet. 00 pm which was painly cause id like to swim later around 10. If we ever go back to Crete, Rethymnonwe will definitely choose this apartment again

The hotel is located right by the sea and it is a good location as it is not far from popular tourist attractions. The woman who cleaned the rooms every morning, was always smiling and she was nice to us

You can swim in the sea and in the pool whenever you want, you don’t have to choose one of them. Also, we really enjoyed playing table tennis (to balance the new kilos due to the buffet)

Amazing family holiday experience rooms modern and very clean pool area was second to none the hotel staff are incredible, from arranging buses to the town to giving us a later checkout to help with our two year old and storing our luggage until our transfer arrived, the food catered to all and the live cooking station was delicious, myself my partner and son Arthur had a blast we even got engaged...

Room was spotless with great view to the pool. The free breakfast was a delightful way to start the day. Hotel also had an amazing restaurant with good food, warm and delicious

if you want to just chill without worrying about anything, its a perfect place to do so:) there are only two complaints, the first one being travel lunch which is just a cheap sandwich, an orange and an apple, the second one being bathroom doors unable to be closed

Visited here April 2022, it was quite possibly one of the most beautiful hotels ever. Recently opened and very luxurious for how much I paid. Sadly it is not as affordable now, so wouldn’t visit it again.

The buffet was also incredible, one of the best with really fresh and high quality food, though I truly prefer the restaurants. The beach was also gorgeous and they offered various water sports and the pool relaxing

We were a couple of days at the "White Palace. " From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience! Arrival: We arrived relatively early but were able to check into our room immediately

The hotel is good, staff is very friendly, food was very good (better than other all inclusive greek hotels), but for us it was not really a place we would return to, it was not "special"

The food here was really good, tasty and plenty of choices for everyone. The hotel as such has aged quite a lot and you can see a lot of things simply looking old/used or worse - half-broken

For example the beer was so far the worst we've had in Greek all inclusive hotels. There are certainly some renovations needed. Toiletries were not replenished in the whole week

It's not a bad hotel, but 4/5 stars review seems to be fair. We did enjoy our stay overall

Our friends had issues with their room and it took the hotel 2 days to change it, then another day to sort out issues with the new room (3rd bed missing and a broken door lock)

Room on the ground floor, sad view from the window, dim light bulb in the bathroom, non-working air conditioner. This is a level of 2 or 3 stars, but definitely not 4 stars

There is a vast variety of dishes to choose from and delicious selection of local and international foods. Our room was spacious and comfortable which was cleaned daily by the lovely Maria

Proximity to the local city is not a problem as tickets are less than €2 return and there are well stocked supermarkets less than 50 yards down the main road

It had a shop and beach over the road and only 1 euro 30 each way for buses. It was a bit of a walk to get to the main shops and taverns but there were some nearby

Nice place it has 5 pools, good food but bad wifi connection. In the evening it is quite impossible to have internet connection. There is pool bar all day and in the evening also. Every evening there is a show

The food was ok, what saved it was that the salad buffet was excellent. It was close to the beach but you had to cross the road and walk between some hotels along a smelly pathway which was less charming

We were so happy to stay at Carmel Greco hotel resort for our honeymoon! From the moment we arrived on the campus, we were greeted by several smiling faces and an excellent service staff

Beautiful beach with all the service you will expect, great room with views to both the pool and the sea side, great room service. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, all were very good

We loved the crazy birds, specially between 9 to midnight…they are adorable to watch. The hotel is on the Main Street here so you will hear the traffic plus buffet service starts early so it got a bit noisy starting 7am

Near the hotel there are a tavern, a shop where we bought water, peaches on the road, because he took a car and rode around the island. Saw a lot of interesting, Crete we have conquered in the next year to come again

Stayed 1 week in Sept 2024, very nice service, great food (buffet) with very friendly service. It’s 7 km from Rethymno But there are many shops and supermarkets around, and there is a bus into town

We had a good time here, there was a few issues with room but the receptionist sorted it out. Good food and drinks if ordered at the bar or pool bar was served in proper glasses which is nice for an all inclusive hotel

Beach is not the best but right next to the hotel which is nice. 30 minutes on the bus to the closest town, but there is plenty of restaurants and shops around

The hotel is right on the ocean with a very nice beach, but there are stones in the water so you might want to bring water shoes or you can buy them anywhere around
