We stayed two weeks with a group of friends during Summer 2020, the Villa is great! The pool with the view on the mountains is breathtaking, and the family is nice and very welcoming, bringing us grapes, Cretan pies and raki very often. It was a unique experience!

Nice apartments in the “almost” middle of nothing. It’s a beautiful surrounding. Well maintained and taken care off. Close enough to a small but very touristic city. And close enough to see all Crete had to offer. (If you have a car) 😃

We rented two of the three villas. Everything was really great, the host was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Everything was really clean, the swimming pool is bigger than is looks in the picture. It really was the besg choice for us.

The location is great. It is a short walk from the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants. The room is cozy and good value (we had a budget room without view). The owners were friendly (though don't speak English very fluently).

We had a marvellous holiday at Villa Kynthia. The rooms are lovely, there is a shady courtyard, and a plunge pool and best of all the extraordinary Maria who manages to be both discreet and omnipresent. Panormos is a really good size for getting to know (v.small) and well-placed for visiting Knossos and the museums. Of course you could just stay in Villa Kynthia all day.

The initial room that we got was basically a humid basement. Some of the rooms look great, but we had to pay extra so we could move to such a room. Even though the room looked great, it was full of ants. Another problem was the fact that we got soap only from the reception. The food was always fresh and very good. We visited in September 2023 for a week. We hired a car, which we would recommend as the island is beautiful and there are so many lovely places to visit. I have mixed feelings. If you’re in need of some warm weather and to spend time on a calm beach, this is definitely a great place to book. They cater to a small budget so food choices are edible and a little variation from day to day, but I can’t say anything I ate was “great” and for some reason they have no deserts, apart from ice cream and fruit, I guess that eats in to profit margins too much....
