Things that i would have liked to be different: i am a picky eater and sometimes it was hard to find something more basic to eat :) ; quality of non alchoolic drinks was not the best; the pool got overcrowded very quickly; bigger room, but not really a problem for us-to be taken into consideration for those with babies

The hotel is very beautiful and well maintained. Simply fabulous, we loved this hotel even though our room was next to the pool! For the rest, nothing to complain about, the staff at the top, always looking after us

Pro: great quality food, lots of activities in the hotel because they had people that were doing different games all day until late at night, great staff, very clean rooms, very close to the beach, not very far from Heraklion airport

We had an excellent family vacation here this summer. The staff was very professional across the board, around the pool, etc. Food and drink was very plentiful, especially the greek pastries, olives, ouzo drinks, beer

Entertainment was good, there was just one night when the entertainment was poor but other than that we enjoyed it. We did prefer the lower pool and went there mainly. Staff were always friendly and happy

We really enjoyed our stay in Filion Hotel. The room was spacious, fresh towels and cleaned everyday. The staff were very helpful with a quick and efficient service. Nothing was too much for them

While the pools were relatively small, there were three to choose from, and finding a sunbed right by the pool was never an issue

All 7 days of our stay we’ve been served the same sort of things to eat with not a single hint for a variety. The evening meal was much better, with enough variety of fruit, vegetables and meats

This hotel is good enough for the money you spend. Its location is perfect for those who need a motive for walking. You’ll have a chance to have a 5 minute walk to the beach every day

There’s one thing I need to add is that the WiFi is available at the reception only, so it gets somewhat crowded in the evenings. The food is moderate, especially the breakfast

The hotel’s chef cooked very tasty food in enormous amounts, breakfast and dinner were in the form of a buffet, so we could choose anything according to our taste, there was always freshly cooked dishes from the chef who was there all the time! It was great holidays in beautiful place! Surely I will come back again!

We've been 4 though, which has two main disadvantages: - with both the sofa and extra bed used, the wardrobe in living room is blocked and unusable, and then there isn't much space for comfortable living with things unpacked - the AC is in the living room, but without much connection to the parents' room, you can't really cool that well - so if you use the AC, the kids will be a bit frozen during the...

Pool was nice and no sun lounger fights! Used the partner hotel fillion for the gym and 3 additional pools which was a 10 min drive up the hill, imagine walking it would have been pretty strenuous but there was a minibus which I think you could use if you didn't have a car

Ground floor rooms had extra swimming pool along garden side accessible directly from them. Its 2 mins from main road and 10mins walk from Bali Beach. Well worth of recommending even more of coming again

The manager stelios speaks excellent English and is very welcoming and helpful and was always going out of his way to help us when we asked. His son worked in the bar and restaurant and was equally kind and helpful

The so called "sarcastic" bartender mentioned in other reviews was just a guy who liked to have a one and join guests by the bar challenging them in the drinking game, he might be seen as arogant, as his english skill was just the opposite to his drinking abilities, but he smoothly switches to german while wearing DDR (east german) and 2008 Euro german football national team's t-shirts

The language barrier to English-only speakers may also be troublesome as the staff is more fluent in the the German language they have learned by heart, and even when they try to use English they switch between these two randomly

We (German family two kids) spend one week at this hotel and it seems to be the best hotel you can get for such a budget price of 36€ in low season: the view from the room and the pool is amazing, it's quite, run by a family with fast and reliable communication and the rooms, floors and bar was just renovated
