Where to stay in Corfu Town

We had a fantastic 5-night stay at Silver Bay Hotel in Corfu! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The hotel itself is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens and a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for a getaway. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The pool area was a highlight, spacious, and always spotless....

The stay here was a bit better. The beds were comfier. However, the shower was always leaking. I'm guessing nobody noticed it. It was very inconvenient, since there was always a big wet puddle in the room. But otherwise it was fine. The pool was also nice. And again, the hospitality of Mr. Pantelis was admirable. It made the whole stay better. He's an amazing person.

I am very pleased with the whole experience. The place is just in the right place. Not to close to the loud city nights, but yet not so far. Beautiful swimming pool, good bar, excellent food, affordable price, and very very professional staff. I strongly recommend Silver Bay. Five stars for sure.

Excellent hotel at an inexpensive price - quality of services and rooms. There are breakfasts. The sea is 19 minutes from the hotel, where there is a beach with pebbles and 30 minutes a beach with sand (sunbed 5 euros), if you walk. Lovely location, not too far from the airport (20 min by car). Private beach right across the street (watch out for the cars and mopeds!) with free chairs. You can rent beach towels for 1 euro / day. My husband and I had a lovely stay, the staff was amazing and made you feel like family. Beautiful views and great dinner service. AC in our room was perfect after a warm day. The beach was private and never too busy. We loved everything about our stay this place is an absolute gem! Also free WiFi and the bus stops right in front of the hotel to go to town.

The outside area was excellent. Added bonus of outdoor kitchen and eating area as well as pool, shower and toilets. I also liked the fact the sheets and towels were changed every other day. I have never seen this before and was delighted by it

Loved the apartment and Maria and Sophia were just lovely. Clean and beds changed during the week and clean towels lots of days. The pool was lovely with sunbeds and brollies. We were given fresh vegetables from their garden. It was lovely and Maria was so helpful with information and anything we wanted. Simple Greek accomodation highly recommend it about 10-15 minutes from the beach.

We stayed in a Suite room as a family. Clean rooms, the beds were a little uncomfortable but it wasn't that big of a deal. WiFi sometimes didn't work. The half board offering is excellent. Breakfast is very very poor, everyday the same, nothing to eat. Coffee is very bad. Pool is good. Food in restaurant is not worth the price, above average. Better to eat in other places in Gouvia.

We had a great experience at dionisos apartments. Nice apartment, very comfortable and clean. And very good attention. The person who runs the place is very friendly and kind. He gave us very helpful advices about places where to go and information about the island.

Wonderful structure, the staff is kind and very prefessional, the owner is truly a wonderful person and is always ready to satisfy your every request. The rooms are new and really clean, with really excellent towel service. The location is a stone's throw from the center of Gouvia where you can find every service, it is also very close to the ancient city of Corfu (5 minutes by taxi). Highly recommended...

Our apartment was really clean and tidy and spacious overlooking the pool. Was really quiet as well. Dino the manager was super friendly and made a nice cosmopolitan or 2!. Close to restaurants and bars and Gouvia beach and Kontokali beach, which is about 30 min walk away. Excellent value for money!

Very nice staff. We got so much information about the island, the best restaurants, beaches, beauty spots etc. Nice coffee, everything is clean, regular room cleaning. The pool is crystal clear. There's a steakhouse 3 minutes on foot what os the best in Corfu, and the apartments are very close to Corfu old town.

I recently stayed at a charming 2-star hotel in the the island (Benitses village), and it truly exceeded my expectations. We really enjoyed our stay at El Greco, all of the staff were very nice and helpful. The room had a nice balcony with a view of the ocean. For breakfast they accommodated my gluten free dietary requirements which was great. The staff even helped us out when our car battery died! Would highly recommend.

Great Human team If you are looking for a room to stay with all kinds of confort, most likely this is not the hotel for you. It's close to the beach, cosy and romantic with exelent view to the sea, but the wifi network is quite crapy, and the wasps can make hard to enjoy a breakfast in the balcony or to sunbath next to the swimming pool (there's a swimming pool, btw) :)

Three nights or was it four with excellent service, very friendly staff and immediate access to the beach and very comfortable sunbeds (that you DO have to pay for)...breakfast was included and fine, snacks at lunchtime were tasty and well prepared...the hotel is centrally placed for walking out (try walking the nearby Marina). Even if you‘re not staying here; the food, bar and the drinks are incredible. Service at its finest and very fair prices. The fact that the restaurant ist located 20 Meters away from the ocean allows you to fully enjoy the gorgeous view over the Gouvion Bay while being served great food and drinks. 10/10 would recommend.

I stayed there last week and everything met my expectations - even more. I was very satisfied with the service. The hotel staff was very helpful. The room was facing the business street, but it was quiet and with AC. And the hotel restaurant has the best view and interior in Couvia region at all.

A very nice hotel, located on the beach of Gouvia, in a quiet and secluded area. It even exceeded our expectations for a 3-star hotel in Greece! Breakfast was OK: there were not many dishes, but the fact that they had Greek salad every day seasoned with olive oil and oregano, feta cheese, Greek yogurt, honey and candied kumkuat fruits, was enough to point out some of the Greek culinary specialties...

All options are open for enjoy 😊 The complete atmosphere, the possibility and the proximity of beautiful beaches made the days spent here memorable. Nice hotel in a decent location. Nice breakfast and very friendly maids who keep the room spotless. This review would be favourable but the hotel has totally ruined it by having to pay €18 per day for sunbeds that belong to the property. Just spent 10 days in this lovely family run hotel. The rooms are lovely cleaned every day with clean towels, coffee and water replaced. There was a lovely balcony to sit on before going to eat. This is a small hotel right in the centre of Gouvia town. On arrival we tried to log into the WIFI but failed. It worked intermittently over the next few days until it was fixed two days before we left. The rooms are small but adequate, with a good sized balcony. The bathroom is a bit of a disaster. Everything worked (including effective, controllable aircon). Very pleased with my brief stay. There is also a lovely large restaurant available, looking onto the beach (across a quiet road), with an appetising menu (I had grilled anchovies as a starter then lamb souvlaki for main) which was good value (including the beer) and excellent service.

The staff were excellent. We only stayed overnight before going sailing for a week, but the friendly welcome and high standards of service were plain to see. I had left my wallet and passport in the safe in the room, and when I came back to the hotel a week later the staff were exceedingly helpful in immediately reuniting me with my precious items. I recommend this hotel.
