Hotel Ploes

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Ploes. Excellent staff and exceptional service. The included breakfast was delicious and had plenty to choose from. We had the loft and the kids shared a room below. Beautiful views of Little Venice. Private swim platform to do some swimming or just enjoy a cocktail. I definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful experience of being pampered and spoiled at the Ploes Hotel. The decor is stunning and includes a very interesting art collection of paintings and sculptures in the common areas and in the rooms along with beautiful chandeliers and furnishings. They have an extensive menu for breakfast/brunch, which is freshly made and extends to 130. Staff were warm and friendly and very helpful in making personal arrangements. There is a library that has extensive reading materials that they can be borrowed during your stay. We highly recommend a stay in this hotel, and we guarantee that you will be inspired by the view and the beauty of your surroundings.

A magical moment the minute we entered this wonderful boutique hotel. Perfectly situated. A charming place to stay with charming staff to match. The service was excellent. The breakfasts were the best we had on our Greek Island hopping trip. What a fabulous place to stay at the end of our 3 week holiday.

Not to be missed experience staying at this exquisite mansion. All the five star reviews are well-deserved and more. From the moment you step into this magnificent Neo-classical home, filled with the owners hand selected art, you are transported back in time. The loukoumi offered in the library at check-in by Constandinos bodes to earlier times of gracious Greek hospitality. You feel like welcome guests coming to stay with good friends. Our deluxe double room with high ceilings and semi-private terrace overlooking the sea was amazing. The room airy and quiet with effective air-conditioning, a mini fridge, lots of room to hang up our clothes and even two small chairs to sit on. The bathroom was small but very clean, with beautiful marble finishes and nice water pressure in the shower. The delicious breakfast was made-to-order and served til late on the terrace. The staff was always kind and friendly. The owner, who was on premise every day and very charming, graciously shared the story of how she and her husband renovated this mansion into a hotel. Having a drink on the terrace at night was a wonderful way to end the day. The location was central to shopping, tourist sites and restaurants. Everything was within easy walking distance. We even happened upon a Greek folk dance festival in the main town square one evening. For swimming, we took a quick dip the first day using the hotel’s small sea access. On the rest of the days, we enjoyed a five minute stroll up the hill to a bigger public sea platform near St. Nicholas church. The waters are pristine and crystal clear. Constandinos made good restaurant recommendations. And, we found a few on our own. Syros is a beautiful town that maintains an authentic Greek island feel. If you go, we highly recommend staying at this hotel. Once you stay, you will want to come back again. We certainly do!

6/5, a true gem. Excellent service from the lovely staff that even dove into the ocean to retrieve our keys. Shoutout to Konstantinos in the reception for his excellent tips and help. The private platform to take a dip in the sea is small but wonderful. Breakfast is some of the best we've ever had. Highly recommended if you can manage to secure a room, it's well worth it for this premium experience.

We felt like royalty from the moment we crossed the threshold of Hotel Ploes! The physical structure is magnificent with fine detail expressed in the design and art installations. The staff are truly remarkable and do their very best to assure that your every need is met. The daily breakfast is offered through lunch which is lovely and much appreciated. The private sundeck with access to the blue water was a lovely surprise. You do have to be careful after the large ferries pass wayyyyy out in the water. About 5 minutes after they pass there is a surprisingly huge surge of water that washes up onto the sundeck area. The only improvement I would suggest is better bedding and a portable fan in each room. Overall, a truly lovely experience!

I arrived at Hotel Ploes in Syros, a gem on the beautiful island known for its aristocracy and stunning waterfront views. I was warmly welcomed by Konstantinos, the true gem of my experience at the hotel. He not only made me feel at home but also assisted me in the best way possible with everything I needed. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was very lovely. My room was absolutely stunning, transporting me back to another era. I enjoyed a delicious room service breakfast in the balcony and ordered an omelette made with fresh eggs. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the Richard Ginori coffee cups to every aspect of the experience. I could go on about how beautiful this hotel is and how it truly makes you feel at home. I am definitely planning to return and stay for a minimum of one week. Thank you, Hotel Ploes, for a memorable stay
