Olympia Sun Hotel in Faliraki

Good points Pool,bar,restaurant areas very attractive and well kept. Reception friendly and helpful. All staff met very friendly. About 15 minutes from the first part of the bars/strip/shops. Spoke to some other friendly guests ,very relaxed atmosphere. Entertainment very sparse but wasn't school hols Bad points. If you book with love holidays or similar you won't get the newly refurbished rooms. They are for Tui guests. Our block was slightly out of the complex past the mini market. The room was not great. One wardrobe with no hangers. No drawers except bedside cabinet. It had a wooden rack.dressing table and tiny bathroom where the shower cubicle was v small with no door and almost over the toilet. the patio door lock was broken and the front door mechanism where you push a button on the door knob to lock would still open from the outside. The Reception said it would be a couple of days to repair, we were offered a room on the 3rd floor but no.lift so I couldn't manage my suitcase up the stairs. The next day another room on the ground floor was available which was better and had a slightly better designed bathroom. Overall a nice chilled holiday and falaraki is lovely.

Just returned from a stay here early October, very dubious after reading previous reviews but have to say it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. Yes the rooms are not perfect, no shower screen so bathroom got completely soaked every time you used the shower, balcony had no table or chairs and over looked the staff eating their breakfast every morning but was serviceable enough to sleep and shower. Biggest issue we had with the room was the amount of mosquitos, seem to be coming out of the bathroom so assuming through the shower plug as it didn't have a window!!!! Food leaves a bit to be desired, breakfast was absolutely fine but we did find ourselves having to eat out a couple of nights. As it was coming up to the end of season the hotel was relatively quiet and entertainment was very sparse, but all in all, the pool area, bar and restaurant was clean, tidy, well looked after and very pleasant. Weather was amazing, pool was cold but we certainly made the most of it and it was certainly needed in that heat. I'd give the hotel a go if you want a budget all inclusive, if you are looking for 5 star this is not for you but i would return, especially when the refurb has been completed and the rooms are more enjoyable.
