Liostasi Hotel

This is a five star boutique hotel if there ever was one. The view itself is gorgeous, but the atmosphere they have curated really adds a feeling of luxury.

The rooms and layout of the hotel have a very Greek/Aegean feel to them. We highly recommend watching the sunset from your balcony at some point.

The restaurant, Grandma’s, while on the pricier side, was no doubt one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Greece, period. Highly recommend the Orzo shrimp pasha dish - that was a standout.

Situated overlooking the port beach, Liostasi is both outside the town of Chora and a surprisingly short walk up some gentle steps to a magical old town of shops, restaurants and bars with one euro shots of ouzo. The hotel bar and pool deck are beautifully set up, with attentive staff and incredible food. The highlight for us was the breakfast. A lunch of Greek salad (gluten free without rusks) and the chicken skewer are highly recommended. The burger was also very good. Our room overlooking the pool had linen sheets and perhaps the most comfortable bed and pillows we’ve encountered.

Liostasi is an idyllic hotel located on the hill in between the port and the chora. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. The hotel communicated prior to our arrival to arrange the shuttle service from the port to the hotel. We were welcomed at the entrance by Anastasia who kindly led us to reception, where our luggage was taken and delivered directly to our room. We received a tour of the premises and a welcome drink before relaxing by the pool before check-in. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, ensuring we had a relaxed and enjoyable experience. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, showcasing a local cuisine style buffet and eggs a la carte selection. Thank you to the Liostasi staff for such a memorable experience on Ios.

Amazing view & first‑class service!

The view (sunset) from this hotel is absolutely breathtaking. But what truly sets it apart is the staff. From check‑in to check‑out, every team member went above and beyond to make our stay feel exceptional. Friendly, professional, attentive — it was a first‑class experience in every sense of the phrase. If you’re looking for a place that pairs stunning surroundings with heartfelt hospitality, this is it.

The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly, very approachable always greets you with a lovely smile, very helpful and always willing to ensure you are enjoying your stay without being intrusive. A lovely balance of enjoying the hotel and making you feel comfortable. They really made us feel extremely welcomed and upgraded us, when they heard of our bad experience at an accommodation in Santorini. This is definitely a 5 star hotel and nothing lacks at all. Every star is well earned. We love you Ios staff and you will be missed!! xx

The Liostasi Hotel was nothing short of incredible! They picked us up from the port with a complimentary transfer to bring us to the hotel. We received such a warm & personal welcome from the manager & staff, along with complimentary welcome drinks and a tour of the hotel. They also brought us an additional complimentary drink & small dessert with a personalized note congratulating us on our marriage & honeymoon. The hotel staff ensured that our room was always clean & everything was very well cared for. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious and had a great variety to choose from. We went to the spa for a couples massage and it was so relaxing! The massage therapists were very skilled and professional. We highly recommend that if you are visiting Ios, Greece, you should stay at the Liostasi hotel.

One thing that I want to mention is that the private hot tub has a lot of sand in it, and it wasn't really warm... I know it was 40 degrees, but if there is a way for the customer to set the temperature, that would be helpful.

Everything was so good, I felt this is luxurious place.

I was visiting the island of Ios, located in Cyclades, for a wedding, so i decided to book a nice hotel near the wedding venue and Chora, (the center of the island) The concierge pre arrival was very helpful and since the island has no airport, i arrived via ferry, where the hotel has a shuttle which takes you straight to the hotel from the port. Upon arriving i was greeted with a welcome drink, but waited around an hour or so until i was given my room. I had booked the room with the hotel tub, the deluxe suite with sharing pool and hot tub more specifically. The hotel itself is a small yet very modern and nice hotel, with small sections soread around the premises consisting of blocks of suites each. Two pools, one private between limited rooms and the other communal The room was really nice, maisonette alike with the bathroom open in the room upstairs, living room And shower downstairs The staff were extremely helpful, very polite and the views were amazing On the downside now, I found a spired in the bathtub and three cockroaches in the room. And the second thing, was that 4 months in advance, i had booked the hotel at 645euros per night for three nights and when i tried to order room service the first night i chose the exact same dates, and the price was 375 per night. With a policy of 60 days payment prior to arrival i had literally no time to amend booking or check for lower prices While i understand the whole island and hotel as i was told by locals was underbooked, i would have appreciated a gesture of lowering the price for the 2nd and 3rd night as i over paid 270euros difference per night leaving me a bitter taste And definitely with such policies i would advice to check in more details before booking as it feels being “cheated”

We absolutely loved staying at Liostasi and would come back in a heartbeat! The view and sunsets were unreal and the staff was so kind and helpful! We also did the cooking class with the owner and it was so fun! The food was so delicious! We also loved how easy it was to get to and from the ferry as well as walking into the village. We did go during the quiet season, so it was not a party town, which was really nice!
