Aegean Melathron Thalasso Spa Hotel

The resort of your dreams if you wish to rest, see beautiful beaches and taste the best food. Talking about the food, we met Nico and Maria who are the coolest and friendliest in the resort (this is only for hungry people like me who prefer ice cream and the best beef sandwiches) 🥰🥰

The hotel worth the price. Everything seems good in according to expectations. The only thing I need to mention is they did not mention about beach prices anywhere. Not a big deal like 10-12 euro per day but I didn’t see this before I came here in anywhere.

The woman at the reception with the curly hair was the best ( I wish I knew her name)!
The staff in the restaurants were wonderful. The drivers driving you to and from the beach were great!

A wonderful hotel with beautiful surroundings, gardens, and pools. The rooms are very nice, spacious, and have comfortable beds. Most have a view of the gardens, the pools, and even the sea. The beach has plenty of sets of chairs and umbrellas as well as beds (there is a small fee to use them), a nice beach bar, and an a la carte restaurant. There are several golf style buggies that can take you between your room and the beach if you don't want to walk.

All the staff in every area are friendly, courteous and very helpful. There are so many names to mention and thank for their great service. George Farkonas the supervisor, George Tsolakis and Kosmas who are both the Maître d', Kosta and Spartakos the head chefs, Waqaas, Stavros, Kalin the main chefs, and all of the rest of the lovely staff in the restaurant, Shabbir, Katerina, Vantim, Angelos, Apostolos, Evelina, Maria, Jonathan, Thomai, Dimitra at the cake stall. The choice of food in the restaurant is plenty full and outstanding. There is a wide choice for vegetarians and non vegetarians. Very few hotels offer this kind of top quality and choice of food.

Used the spa twice and had two massage treatments with Florida and Nassia. Amazing girls. The spa manager Melissa is very kind and helpful. Overall, it was an amazing 5-star experience. Thank you for your hospitality, Aegean Melathron. Can't wait to return.

Great location for enjoying the lovely sandy beaches and shallow tourquise waters of the Aegean sea as well as the well maintained gardens for a resonable cost.
The rooms are a bit dated but this is reflected in the price.
Poor visibility when driving out of the hotel parking.

Overall experience is great, even above our expectations!
The resort itself is very beautiful and clean, with great views, many pools and a lot of green surfaces. We have been there in September so it was not crowded at all, the weather and the sea were perfect and there were many available sunbeds.
Food- amazing! Especially the dinner, there is a great variety and the food is very fresh and tasty. Special thanks to the kindest chef - Kalin from Romania!
The only thing that lowered the quality of our stay was that in this beautiful resort there is a cat around the restaurant area that is in a HORRIBLE health condition. For us, as animal lovers, that was really stressful, whatching this poor cat suffering every day. We think that it doesn’t take much for hotel management to take care of this poor creature and get it to vet for some help that he desperately needs. So PLEASE, hotel management, DO SOMETHING, help him! We plan to come back and would love to see this little guy around again but healthy and happy!!!

Visited the beach for a day, amazing crystal clear waters, white sand, convenient prices. 10€ pro set umbrellas at the beach, 8€ at the grass field. Menu available scan online on the spot, free wifi access granted. Location is great, but the sea is only white sand, suited only for swim in far distances. I'd not recommend if you plan for a diving session as there nothing underwater except sand, for at least 1 Km along the shore, and you must swim at least 600m deep to reach aquatic life.

We jast come back from this amazing hotel. Every thing in the hotel is done to be useful and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and useful, very clean rooms and amazing food. This is really 5 star luxury accommodation and services. We definitely will come back next year with pleasure.

We recently enjoyed a three-day getaway at the Aegean Melathron in Kalithea during our vacation in Greece. Overall, the experience was quite positive, with the hotel offering an array of amenities befitting a five-star establishment. While the decor had a slightly aged feel, the meticulous preservation of everything was evident. The hotel upheld all the standards one would expect from a luxury property.

Dining was also a highlight of our stay. Opting for the half-board package, we were treated to a diverse range of options for dinner, catering to various palates. The cuisine offered something for everyone, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Our accommodation was in a Maisonette apartment that exuded exceptional beauty. The apartment boasted captivating views, exceptionally comfortable beds, and the added delight of a pool just outside our doorstep.

Although the beach was a bit distant, the convenience of golf carts within the hotel premises made navigating the expansive property a breeze. The abundance of amenities, including a spa area and impressive shopping opportunities, added to the overall allure of the Aegean Melathron. Additionally, the post-dinner entertainment program provided a delightful way to unwind.

Regrettably, what diminished our experience was the quality of fellow guests at the hotel. Visiting during peak travel season, our group of two Americans, a Turk, and a Greek were friends seeking relaxation. The hotel, renowned for its family-friendliness, posed a challenge for couples or groups without children. While the children themselves weren't an issue, some parents exhibited discourteous behavior, at times blocking pathways and using loudspeakers in public areas.

While it's uncertain whether cultural differences played a role, instances of thoughtlessness were frequent, even observed at the beach. It's important to note that the hotel itself likely has no control over guest behavior, given that guests aren't selectively chosen. Evidently, the property seems to be a preferred choice for affluent vacationers from other Balkan countries, which might account for these observations.

Despite this drawback, our overall experience was highly enjoyable, and we had a wonderful time. I would certainly consider revisiting the Aegean Melathron, although I'd opt for a time when the winter holidays in the Balkans aren't in full swing, as this may contribute to a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
