Das Häuschen war einfach phantastisch. Es war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Einrichtung war modern und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Maria war wunderbar, herzlich und bei Fragen sehr hilfsbereit

Der Blick auf Kamilari ist einfach toll, zu Fuß ist man in ein paar Minuten im Ort und kann in vielen tollen Tavernen das kretische Essen genießen

Die Auffahrt zum Haus war für kretische Verhältnisse okay, etwas holprig, aber nach Aussage von Maria wird die Straße zeitnah erneuert

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem Kyparissi-Haus und werden bestimmt wieder kommen

Die Lage ist optimal, kurze Wege ins Dorf mit herzlichen Einwohnern einem liebevollen Supermarkt und diversen leckeren Restaurants. Zum Strand sind es 12 Minuten mit dem Auto

Die Vermieter Katerina und Yiannis sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und außergewöhnlich großzügig. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt! Es war eine perfekte Zeit!

Wer hier nicht bucht, hat selber Schuld. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gut durchdacht und auch sehr gut ausgestattet

We had an amazing stay at villa Knossos (one of the five). Amazing facilities, super thoughtful and helpful staff, Maryianna was so sweet and available

Great place to relax and still close (by car) to shops restaurants pharmacy beaches and the amazing town of Matala!

Last June we were able to spend a few days in this beautiful, lovingly renovated accommodation. This house was our most expensive but also the most beautiful accommodation during our two week visit to Crete

Manolis does not skimp on attentions for its guests and helped us a lot in looking for a possibility for a Covid test. Maybe we will end up in this beautiful area again, who knows. :) Warm greetings from Germany

The villa is not directly on the street, so it is quiet and you don't hear anything from the neighbors either, so perfect for those looking for peace and quiet

I'm just sitting here enjoying a cup of sage tea the owner gave me and remembering that I haven't left a review for this property yet

The two seating options in front of and behind the house are just fantastic, I would really like to be there now

Spotless, neat, good sized rooms, welcoming; lovely staff, good breakfast, beautiful pool and terrace area. Nothing not to like, and because it doesn't have a high star rating it was much nicer than we had anticipated

The pool was large and clean and the area around very well kept. The hotel has the resort feeling which is not my style. The clientele was mainly German and the staff spoke better German then english

The view from the terrace is breath taking, and we enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset from there, The villa is extremely well decorated, exceptionally clean, and very well equipped

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful, luxurious villa. Marina, who welcomed us and Nikos,the owner, were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome

They were very generous, and the fridge was very well stocked

Hotel Melissa was absolutely fantastic! Very quiet, because it wasn't near the noisy center of Matala. The swimming pool wasn't cold even though the weather was still rather cool

Rooms are modern and newly decorated, breakfast included and a great pool. If you’re looking for a great place to relax and explore the southern side of Crete then this is just the place

Very nice hotel located about 1,4km from Matala. There is a large swimming pool and the room are clean.

The rooms and restaurant were spotlessly clean. Breakfast abundant and with a lot of choices. The owner very friendly and helpful. We loved the musquito screens, which allowed us to sleep with the balcony door open

We only used the airco for a few hours, but it was working very well. If you have mobility problems ask for a room near the restaurant, so that you don't have to use the stairs that lead to the other rooms

We Traveled to Matala because of severe weather in Chania area, so we chased the sun and ended up looking for a new place to stay. Most welcoming reception and could not have made us feel more special

Peaceful, beautiful and extremely good value for money (even with a pool). Basic rooms, but very clean and with nice balconies. We stayed one night and had breakfast. The family running the hotel treated us very kindly

Lovely quiet situation with a small clean swimming pool

The pool was great! However, that room had no Wi-Fi reception, the curtains were not occlusive (sunshine at 6am) and the air conditioning along with the fridge were so loud that we had to switch them off for the night

Comfortable and chill! The hotel let us enjoy the best of Matala. The cleaning service is very well done, the only pitfalls are the breackfast that is quite repetitive and the pool is closed during nightime

Beautiful and relatively peaceful experience. We felt very welcome and at home in the room just by the pool

I like everything there: the rooms, the breakfast, the garden, the hospitality of Olimpios (the owner of the hotel), the swimming pool

If you are lucky enough your afternoon around the magnificent pool will enchanted by Olympios mandoline and songs. Breakfast are following a tight schedule but the food quality is premium

It is visited by many frequent customers who fell in love with the place and other 'de passage' who comes for a couple of night

I've stayed at this hotel three times. It is my favorite hotel on the island of Crete

Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, with tables outside in the garden area. We did not tested dinner; the buffet was small. Matala beach is close, well equipped, not too crowed at beginning of the season (end May)

drink bar, restaurant, garden swimming pool 20 meters nice under the palms. few times a week there is an event in restaurants garden - concert , movie etc. It's not so noisy and crowded like the centre of the village

Until hotel management act, if you’re still planning to stay here and if you care about these animals, help: feed them discretely/sign on-line survey to authorities/donate to Creta association/adopt and/or continue lobbying hotel management

The space is modest but functional. The layout is flat and easy to navigate, making it very suitable for guests with disabilities or young children. Staff is friendly and efficacious

The current situation of hungry, unsterilized cats leads to overpopulation and suffering. This is causing distress both to the animals and to guests

As already identified multiple time in previous evaluation, there are many stray cats in/ around the hotel, most clearly in need for food and care

Fine place. I just got annoyed by drunk people in the pool at night, people talking loud in the corridor and the stink sewer in the room sometimes.

Nice small hotel 10 minutes from the center, clean rooms with balcony and comfortable beds, spacious bathroom. There is also a small pool for those who need a change from the salty sea water

Clean rooms basic we had no kettle just a fridge but it was only an over night stay so fine nice pool area 5 min walk to matala easily done on the flat breakfast was good continental style maybe there are rooms with better facilities it was a nice place to stay

Eleni is a complete sweetheart and helped with anything we needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a mini fridge. Highly recommend staying here it was close to the beach and my family and I had a lovely stay!

Great location, lovely staff and a nice breakfast. Our apartment at the back was okay, clean and big enough for 4.

Couldn't have the windows open at night as a band playing nearby was crazy loud, so the room was quite warm, we had to ask the front desk for the remote for the Aircon

They even will let you use the pool and the public toilet & shower Cons- 1. No wifi connection in the room 2. No toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste- so remember to bring some with you 3

Nothing to say about the cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom The swimming pool is good and it There are shaded corners. The staff is discreet and friendly. It's not the factory because there aren't too many rooms

Well decorated exterior- especially the garden & pool, really enjoyed taking photos 4. The staff will just let you leave your bags if your transfer is late in the night and you needed to check out already

Renovated hotel with a nice pool. We absolutely liked the room with a view on the pool. It's spacious and there is a nice terrace. A typically Greek bathroom, a bit small, but more than ok

I had a lovely time in this beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly and the property is very well kept. The beach is only a five minute walk and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area

The accommodation is nice and quiet, but still close to the town of Matala. The family that runs it, really puts effort in making your stay as perfect as can be

I really liked it, we had a front sea view room and it was good. Has a pool but I didn't go in as the beach is right next to it. Location is superb, watch sunset on beach come back get changed so easy

The overall experience is very good! The facilities are nice ( 4 swimming pools, a gym and common areas), the location is perfect, our room is literally 1minjte away from Matala beach

the hotel is very near to matala beach. The room was in the building behind the parking spots. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was perfect with everything you need

The only thing: bathroom is small and if you shower, you would have water everywhere in the bathed. But we would recommend this hotel

Nikos hotel in Matala was a magical place to stay. Not only for it's perfect location but also for the comfort and luxurious feel

The whole hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a joy plus only a short walk in to town or beach

Fantastic place for a calm and peaceful holiday!! The staff is super friendly and attentive, the rooms and pools are great, and the food is so tasty at the restaurant

The rooms are spacious and comfortable and modern. Some even have a private pool as you can see in the picture. One of the best things about the hotel is attention to detail and constant improvement

There are several pools in the hotel and also private pools in some of the rooms, so there is always an oasis nearby if one wants to cool down

Honestly, of the best dining experiences in Crete! The fish soup, the meat and souvlaki, the salads, the bread that is made is the hotel, the fruits and desserts, all were off the scale yummy! If we had stayed there any longer we would need to go on a diet ;) The staff was also extremely kind, giving a sense of original Greek hospitality without being pretentious

10/10 experience! Just for your holiday plannings: the beach is really close and lovely, just make sure to take swim shoes with you - the pebble sand gets extremely hot and the sea bottom itself is very rocky 😊nothing to do with the hotel but good to know
