Where to stay in Kanali

We have just had a two week stay in the Theoxenia which was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. This hotel is of a much higher standard than most we have experienced in Greece. We stayed in a 'deluxe double' room which was extremely spacious with a separate kitchen and a very large balcony, with open outlook towards the sea. The hotel is very nice, quiet and clean. Friendly staff make your holiday pleasent. The pool is big. It is abaout 200 m from the beach. We had a breakfast, it was ok. Rooms are very big , clean with a big comfortable bad. Almost all rooms have a sea view.

Visited the place for the kids to have fun in their water park. You spent 10 euros per person for all the facilities or 5 for jacuzzi and pools. They have lots of people taking care the kids and their safety so you can relax and have a drink or a snack. Overall a positive experience if you are in the area.

The hotel is great for families, it has a nice set of water amenities. The staff was excellent, very helpful. The rooms were decent on par with what you would expect for a three star hotel. My only pet peeve is that the showers could have been a bit better: they worked, but they were quite ugly and cramped. Food in the restaurant was quite good. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing to write home about...

10 euro's for the water park, which is nothing more than 4 slides and a lazy river (which was out of order).

Great food, good portions, good prices..the same for cafe Ammos (all in the same building and ownership I believe)...plus a playground for children

We had a fabulous stay at Katerina. Lovely little pool, sea views from our balcony. Our studio had everything we needed, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Kiki, Chris and their mum (the chef! 🤤🤤) made our stay so special - they can’t do enough for you and make you feel so welcome. The beach across the road is perfect for swimming (the water is crystal clear), and having your own sun beds...

We were very pleased with this accomodation. The entire staff, including the owner were really kind and helpful. The apartment was clean and we also got a free use of a baby cot for our little one. The breakfast was great - self service with a big variety and a great taste. There are 2 swimming pools, nice and clean, one smaller for little kids and one bigger. Excellent accommodations for a perfect holiday

Very nice hotel, quiet and peacefull, nice garden, swimming pool, shaded parking. Close to the beach where you can find free hotel's sunbeds and umbrellas. The rooms are cleaned every other day. Only the bathroom could be little bigger, but that's ok. Restorant is fine. Location is great since Preveza, Lefkada or Parga is very close for visiting, and the beach of Kanali is sandy and very comfortable...

Near to beach ..nice place but needs much work to be done. No ceiling in bathroom! No trash can ,water leaking from air condition and toilet and the bathroom doors dont lock...if you are on vacation with family stay away

A fantastic family owned hotel with fantastic staff! We had booked seven days through apollo but were on site for nine days. The staff does everything to ensure that you have a fantastic experience and tries to solve your problems immediately. We stopped going through our travel agency, Apollo, and instead asked for help from Kostas (son) with renting a car, taxi etc. Kostas is an emperor of service...

Amazing hotel and Restaurant. By far the highest quality of food and rooms in the region. Very modern and clean rooms and the food is quite sophisticated! Especially when you compare the food to the other restaurants around or in preveza. The service was also amazing. Everybody there tries to help you as good as they can at any time. The service is also well trained and professional.

The staff is very friendly. The food is delicious and they have a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Prices are a little bit higher then other places in Kanali. The view is awsome because the see is across the street.

As far as the hotel, the rooms were so clean , views were beautiful, beds and linens were so soft, slept like a baby, breakfast and coffee was available, walking distance to many restaurants in the area. Excellent quality/ price. The manager was very friendly! The rooms were big and comfortable. The pool was big, clean and not too crowded and the bar at the pool is a plus. The breakfast was fine. The hotel is located not far from the museum of Nikopolis. The only negative thing we could think of is the resonance in the hotel, but we can't say that it's noisy either. The hotel still deserves its 5 stars...

great location, good quality, beautiful garden and extremely nice owners make this hotel the perfect choice for a family vacation. The village Mitikas is also very welcoming, with nice beaches which were not crowded at all during our stay. The beach next to the hotel has sun beds and umbrellas too

The hotel is great and its swimming pool enormous. Its rooms and all its spaces in general are great too. The breakfast is mostly home made but rather poor and the staff is very polite and professional. Air conditioning in every room. We all had a great time in the pool even though there are several nice beaches nearby (that we also visited). I totally recommend it for couples or families.

Really nice owners/staff. We came in a week day so there was almost no one in the hotel. Although we didn't enjoy the pool because of our many trips around the lafkada I really wanted to swim there. =) Breakfast was also nice. Oh, and the room was BIG! Basically a suite with mini kitchen, bathroom, TV, couple and single bed, big mirror, etc. Really recommend!

Was here two nights 17-19.07.25 with a colleague working in the shipyard at Cleopatra Marina. The hotel was perfect for our needs and only 20 minutes drive to the shipyard. As working, we didn't venture out in the evenings and had the tasty buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant - incredible value at 18€ for three courses. Breakfast was also very good with a copious buffet. All very laudable but...

Its a hotel from the 80s, dated decor...Rooms are ok, overlooking the lagoon in my case, Personnel are very friendly and attentive. Rooms cleaned daily, and good quality breakfast. Enough parking too. Location is 2kms from city centre, during day time one can walk downtown...Not recommended at dark, road is dark and passing by cars makes it dangerous.

Nice hotel. The carpet nees to be updated. My only issue was that the drain was backibg u after having a bath and even though I brought to their attention ut was never resolved.p

We first stayed there a year ago and were very satisfied. When we recently visited the area again, we didn't even consider looking anywhere else—it had to be daLUZ! It's an excellent place to stay. Everything is of high quality, from the room and the surroundings to the breakfast and, above all, the very kind and attentive staff. And all this for a very reasonable price. Very nice hotel , that is allmost a 10 , but some points must be sorted out before: A. Brakefast is free (included in price) but if you want a coffee ... that is Extra..... B. Beds are too soft so you get ip with back pain C. Service at the reception was an INSULT. This is a wonderful, peaceful oasis of calm a little bit outside Preveza, and a very short walk to Alonaki beach. Bright, clean, with very friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. This family-run gem exceeded our expectations, from the communication at booking time right through to our departure.

Great Greek experience The property was great. We got in later than expected and the weather was a little cool in the evening breeze so we did not get to enjoy the pool but the setup with both private and common pool was terrific.

Clean and friendly hotel located instinctively easy to find in the centre of Preveza 10 minutes drive from the airport.

They have long duvets! Mind-blowing. Don't expect great luxury, but the owners are just so so nice. The breakfast is overwhelming, and the staff makes you feel just so incredibly welcome. The beds are surprisingly hard, but I've just been so happy here!

A very nice and cozy hotel in the center of Preveza with modern and comfortable furniture, ideal for families with 2 or 3 kids. The hospitality of Sofia is great. She is very friendly. No doubt that if we return to Preveza we will visit it again.

We had an amazing stay at the Sofita Hotel. The owner and workers there are super friendly and gave great advice about the area & activities in Preveza. Our room was very modern, large, comfortable and clean. The location is great, right in the center of Preveza and you can easily access the city from there.

The hotel location is amazing and has so much near by to see and explore. Our room was fantastic; it was decorated to a good standard, had good amenities, was clean, tidy and comforting. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel warm and welcome. It even comes down to little things like them opening doors for us. We will be back!

It‘s good. Rooms clean, staff friendly. Location is central. Parking lots. Bed is confi, AC and heating works. Perfect for a stay even a little longer. It might be a little noise. Accoustics is bad in the rooms, you hear other guests coming home a lot.

The hotel’s location was perfect. The hotel was quiet, and the AC system was working very well. It is within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. Nice hotel in middle of Preveza. Very good staff and beautiful lobby. Cons: - Expensive for what you get. - Room was not fully cleaned when we were there.

The rooms are a little more basic than the name of the hotel suggests, but at the price they are great value and so you can’t complain. The staff were all very friendly and helpful whilst we were there too.

Great place to stay for the price, with aircondition and a hot shower. I was there for one night. Very close to the harbour with restaurants and also close to a beach. 🌞 The nice lady at the reception helped me to find busses and call the taxi company.

Such a friendly receptionist who checked us in and booked our taxi for us for the morning who was very prompt and printed boarding passes for us. She is a real credit to the hotel!
