Porto Alegre Hotel

Stayed for 3 nights and it was such an amazing experience! The staff were so friendly and attended to every need. The view of the ocean from the pool and breakfast was amazing as well. Very conveniently located next to a bus stop to get to other beaches. Definitely recommend Porto Allegre!

Having a lovely time at Porto Alegre Hotel.
The rooms are clean, the air-conditioning works well. (Discovered it works even better if you don't turn it down very low, 21 was ideal and even 23 at night face is a comfortable peaceful night sleep.) Our room is in the 3rd floor. Booked "Partial sea view" but this is really only visible leaning over the balcony. Our room is quite far back in the hotel away from both the sea and the road and is quiet. (311- large triple) The balcony is quite small.
Staff have been very helpful, booking a taxi from the airport as we arrived very late.
Breakfast has a nice mix of food and it's always topped up. (It's not real orange juice but it's tasty. The coffee is very good, , regards food the rice pudding is lovely)

Super friendly and supportive staff, who does their best!!! They arranged the top floor of the hotel for me where I could take part in an online job interview. Aaand I got the position!!!🥳

What a WONDERFUL PLACE, Excellent Service, Exceptionally Clean, and a Value for your Money. Small Boutique Hotel run by a Husband and Wife along with their Family. Great Breakfast included for your enjoyment. Very convenient location and great beaches nearby. The owners were very hospitable. ie . My wife kept them in conversation at breakfast . They were Wonderful.

Porto Alegre is a great hotel to stay near Chania. It has a pool free to use for its clients. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast is on the top floor with an amazing view to the sea and it is included into your reservation. Location is also great, close to Chania and also close to other nice cities nearby. I would say that this hotel it truly exceeds it’s 3 stars.

Also worth to mention air conditioning in the room, free parking in case you rent a car and 24h reception.

The staff was very friendly and they provide anything you ask for in no time.

We had an amazing stay here for 14 nights. Great people and well kept hotel with amazing standards. Better hotel for a 3 star rating compared to many 4 star ones I have been in. Good location outside city if you enjoy sun tanning and pool and occasional dipping in ocean or a bus ride to city.

•Reception area stationed at all times. Clean and well air continioned. Comfy and spacious seating.
•Bar area was super clean and nice table service.
•Pool area was well maintained and cleaned often, so were the glass fences and sun beds.
•Pool area had an outdoor shower and indoor shower with adjustable water temperature.
•Pool area had a nice inflatible flamingo toy.
•16 sunbeds but plenty of them were always open to use.
•Amazing breakfast, fresh and simple, medium variety.
•Breathtaking view from the breakfast floor. (4th floor)
•Elevator to all floors. (1st-3rd rooms, 2nd reception, 4th breafast lounge)
•Cleaning staff was nice and talkative. Rooms were cleaned well.
•Recommend taking a room with a ocean view. Amazing to sit in your own balcony with a view.
•Close to hotel there is a bus stop, place to buy tickets, ATM, pharmacy, shops and markets.
•Good restaurants nearby and short connection to city.

To improve:
•Breakfast coffee could be bit stronger.
•Perhaps more active selling of snacks and drinks at the pool.
•Amount of power sockets in room bit low.
•Perhaps it is whole Crete but toilet flush is low water pressure.
