Althea Village - Family Hotel

Everything was great, especially Radek as an entertainer. Great food, activities and location, very helpful staff. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Would definitely recommend

This our second stay at this lovely hotel, we stayed two years ago. We were here for two weeks and loved it just as much as the first time. Some improvements have been made to the restaurant since we were last here, which made the experience even nicer. The hotel has 3 pools which for a small hotel (165 rooms) makes getting a sunbed never a problem. One of the pools has entertainment in with Madina, Bato, Danja and Addy making sure you have fun. Great water dance programme with Addy and a big shout out to Madina for our morning stretch and yoga sessions. There is a glorious beach just down the road, 20 minutes walk. Bus to Chania can be picked up at bottom of road and 20 minutes you are in the old town (2 euro). I would recommend this hotel, it's good and honest. Staff are lovely and gardens are beautiful.

This was our fifth visit to Althea Village hotel and once again it did not disappoint.Year on year Stavros the hotel manager and his team welcome us to the hotel as if we are family. Every year there are changes made and this year the restaurant area has been changed in order that the flow of guests is less congested at busier periods therefore no queueing . So much thought goes into what makes the holiday better for guests year on year and they really do listen to feedback . Everything from the rooms,gardens,pool areas ,reception,bars are stunning and kept in pristine condition.Rooms are cleaned daily with the exception of Sundays and pool towels are provided free of charge. Guests visit year on year and it is easy to see why-the hotel is 3 star+ but the staff are 5 star + Thank you once again for a great holiday and for making our Silver Wedding anniversary one that we will never forget

Excellent hotel. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with any questions. The food was very good and every day there was something new. We extended our stay because we were happy with the quality of everything. I recommend it to everyone!

Absolutely fantastic place. The service was good from the start. The bar staff and everyone working the dining area were amazing. The food was delicious all week. Also the pool area had lots of fun activities for everyone. Definitely a place we would go again.

Excellent stay at the Althea village. Room was lovely and cleaned daily. Food was excellent. Aways something delicious to eat no matter how fussy and lovely kids section Staff are so friendly and work hard to make sure everything is OK. Lovely pools and no fighting for sun beds. Reception staff were very helpful and so was the Tui rep. The spa and gym are excellent as well . Lovely well kept gardens. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Althea Village Hotel. The hotel and room were beautiful well presented, well presented and had everything you could need for the perfect family holiday. The entertainment and pools were also exactly what you would expect something for everyone there are 3 pools one quiet one, one where the entertainment is performed water polo, aerobics, etc and one where you can play with games with your family or just relax. The entertainers are brilliant again something for everyone games during the day that everyone can get involved in and shows, bingo and quizzes on the night. They also had tradition live Greek music which I personally loved. The staff at the hotel were lovely always there to help and make your stay the best from the minute you arrive to dinner service always polite smiling and welcoming. The food and drink was again exactly what you need in a family holiday lots of choice and the taste wow what can I say the taste was out of this world my compliments to the chef. We would like to thank everyone at the Althea Village for our time at the hotel our family holiday was made perfect by all the staff you are all a credit to the hotel.

Great stay! We had a very nice room and the food was varied and delicious. The swimming pools really completed the holiday vibe! The service was excellent whenever we had questions (for example, arranging taxis). Perfect for a carefree and enjoyable holiday!

The hotel itself is perfect for families and couples. It’s a safe place to stay and feel comfortable. The staff are great including the cleaners. Nothing is too much effort and everyone is so easy going. We felt very comfortable and happy being there. Food was great the whole time, although they could have more variety of snacks such as wraps or pizzas and chips. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. The location was great with local supermarkets and town close by. We walked to shops and enjoyed the harbour. You will not be disappointed with this choice of hotel.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week really enjoyed ourselves , so lucky requested a quiet room and was put on the side of the hotel across the road which was so quiet and own pool . Only complaint would be the food which could have some improvements. Enjoyed the beach which was 10 minute walk away and went on trip to Chania old town, 5 hour boat trip and trip to Elafonisi beach which would all recommend
