We've had our holiday at Althea Village in mid-september. It was the first time coming to this hotel and we will definitely come back in the future.
The complex is big and spacious, perfect for a family holiday. We really liked how well maintained the common area was, with many trees and flowers, that gives you a holiday vibe. The rooms were very clean and there were a lot of food options at the restaurant, plus the Souvlaki Snack Bar was a real plus.
All the staff inside was amazing and very helpful. Also, the entertainment team was very friendly.

We had a great holiday at Althea Village this summer.
It was our first holiday with our daughter which was 7 months old and the hotel felt perfect for us.
The staff was really nice, everyday they were waiting for us with lunch prepared special for our daughter (at that moment she was eating only boiled vegetables), the room had a crib only for her, the "village" was quiet so we enjoyed our stay.
We really appreciated all the activities during the day and during the evening, the flowers and the trees were really beautiful and well maintained, all the resort was very clean.
Regarding the food, there were a lot of options, including also traditional Greek food.
We recommend Althea Village if you want a nice, quiet and fun holiday!

Just a lovely place overall. Really really nice place with very helpful staff and super nice food. Located 10 minutes from the beach making it great for a short walk after breakfast to reach the beach. The small gym was super well maintained and surprisingly well equipped.

Overall we had a great stay! The staff was super kind and helped us with everything we needed.
Our room
was cleaned daily which was a huge plus! We did however had a little problem the last day because our toilet didn’t flush.
The pool areas were a bit small but there was always sunbeds available.
Food was fantastic most days, some days a little weak and vegetarian options weren’t the best.
The bar was cozy, but we personally didn’t like the All-Inclusive cocktails (which came from a machine) so we bought the normal cocktails which were tasty!
The night shows were fun! Also a big plus was the souvlaki bar, my boyfriend loved the pork gyros!
Location-wise, the beach is about a 15-minute walk and there are little mini markets around the area. We had a hard time finding a taxi to Chania but we managed after all.

Just returned from a lovely weeks holiday staying in Althea Village.
Facilities and room were very good.
Good quality food, we were particularly were pleased with how well labelled it was as my wife is vegetarian. She was very well catered for.
Location is excellent, short distance from Chania airport. Short walk to a bus stop to take you into Chania itself which has a very pretty Venetian harbour.

Everything was great, especially Radek as an entertainer. Great food, activities and location, very helpful staff. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Would definitely recommend

This our second stay at this lovely hotel, we stayed two years ago. We were here for two weeks and loved it just as much as the first time. Some improvements have been made to the restaurant since we were last here, which made the experience even nicer. The hotel has 3 pools which for a small hotel (165 rooms) makes getting a sunbed never a problem. One of the pools has entertainment in with Madina, Bato, Danja and Addy making sure you have fun. Great water dance programme with Addy and a big shout out to Madina for our morning stretch and yoga sessions. There is a glorious beach just down the road, 20 minutes walk. Bus to Chania can be picked up at bottom of road and 20 minutes you are in the old town (2 euro). I would recommend this hotel, it's good and honest. Staff are lovely and gardens are beautiful.

This was our fifth visit to Althea Village hotel and once again it did not disappoint.Year on year Stavros the hotel manager and his team welcome us to the hotel as if we are family. Every year there are changes made and this year the restaurant area has been changed in order that the flow of guests is less congested at busier periods therefore no queueing . So much thought goes into what makes the holiday better for guests year on year and they really do listen to feedback . Everything from the rooms,gardens,pool areas ,reception,bars are stunning and kept in pristine condition.Rooms are cleaned daily with the exception of Sundays and pool towels are provided free of charge. Guests visit year on year and it is easy to see why-the hotel is 3 star+ but the staff are 5 star + Thank you once again for a great holiday and for making our Silver Wedding anniversary one that we will never forget

Excellent hotel. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with any questions. The food was very good and every day there was something new. We extended our stay because we were happy with the quality of everything. I recommend it to everyone!

Absolutely fantastic place. The service was good from the start. The bar staff and everyone working the dining area were amazing. The food was delicious all week. Also the pool area had lots of fun activities for everyone. Definitely a place we would go again.
