Great friendly staff. The hotel has an amazing view. The best part is the on-site restaurant and room service. The food is amazing. With breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. There is also an on-site bar. The hotel offers room service, a pool on the roof, and also free rides to the old port. If you want a message that is available. One day I'll be back with my family instead of being here for work.

Excellent hotel. Great service from friendly efficient staff. An easy walk downhill, 2 miles from the old venetian harbour [keep a look out for the turtles!] - just follow the main road down and turn left. Uphill on the return. The nearest supermarket is approx 300 metres down the road. We had meals during the day around the pool and ate 3 times in the restaurant at night. Excellent food inc at breakfast. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the views from our balcony looking over Chania were stunning. Thank you Royal Sun...pure bliss and we will return.

An incredible stay. When we arrived we were greeted by Emma and her kindness. She helped us get to our rooms and explained to us a bit about to town. The rooms are clean and beautiful. With an exceptional view !! At night Maria the other sweet receptionist helped us with dinner ideas !! The two girls were so kind and helpful. The restaurant at the top of the hotel was delicious and the service was excellent. 🥰 thank you again the royal sun. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

Our stay at the Royal Sun Hotel was exceptional! The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered breathtaking views of the city and sea. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, always greeting us with a smile. The pool area was perfect for relaxing, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of options. The hotel’s location is convenient, close to everything yet peaceful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch stay!

Best decision ever to stay here! Exceeded all my expectations, this is what affordable luxury truly is! The views were spectacular from both pool area and restaurant. Staff was exceptional and the free shuttle service to/from the city centre is simply amazing.

Dinner and wine at the restaurant was truly delicious, and I was very satisfied with breakfast options too. Superb!

I had the cheapest room with "no view", but still had a balcony to dry my clothes or sit and a very comfortable and clean room. Hope to return here someday, what a beautiful oasis!

Everything was very clean: room, swimming pool, the gym, bar...
Very nice, polite and helpful stuff with excellent English.
The Hotel is settled in very peace and quiet area with amazing view (so we could see the whole Chania and the sea).
The food was delicious and we enjoyed every meal.
The Hotel has private mini buses, so every 30 minutes we could reach the city centre and enjoy and as well to book a ride back. The ride takes just 12 minutes.
Thanks for everything, we really enjoyed!

Service, Service, Service!

We had two superior sea view rooms and spent one week at Royal Sun.
It might be a 3star hotel but the service they offer is for a 5star! Stefania make sure that all employees that work at the Reception are very kind and respectful.
The breakfast has fresh food and the view from the restaurant is fantastic. The restaurant staff is also very kind.
The shuttle to Chania is a great solution.

The best hotel on our round trip in Greece so far (in total we travel for four weeks)! My wife, little sons (11 months and 3 years old) and I stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel is not directly in the city center, but it offers an amazing view on the city center and harbor of Chania (both night and day). A free shuttle to the city center and back is offered almost the whole day (frequency every half hour).
The staff is really nice and helpful, the pool is big and clean! Last but not least the complementary breakfast was large in variety and tasty!
We had really a great time and we would definitely stay at Royal Sun Chania again!

Royal Sun is a gem in Chania!
The view, the hospitality and the beyond perfect customer service deserve more than 5 stars!
The breakfast is nice and fresh; the rest of the food is also delicious.
You can rent a car from the hotel, so you don't have to hassle with rental cars companies.
To and from the City Centre they have arranged transportation that is free.
Our room was spotless and there is daily housekeeping providing fresh towels.
The only thing that wasn't up to our taste was the soft mattress, but this didn't spoil the nice experience that we had.

If we go back to Crete one day, we will definitely stay there again! Thank you!!!!
