Great staff, room, food , and location (right next to Matala beach). We would stay here again!

the hotel is very near to matala beach. The room was in the building behind the parking spots. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The personal were friendly. The breakfast was perfect with everything you need. The only thing: bathroom is small and if you shower, you would have water everywhere in the bathed.But we would recommend this hotel.

I really liked it, we had a front sea view room and it was good. Has a pool but I didn't go in as the beach is right next to it. Location is superb, watch sunset on beach come back get changed so easy. Great breakfast, all the staff were so friendly especially the cleaning lady, amazing, stayed for 3 nights.

We paid 50€/night in October , included breakfast. The overall experience is very good! The facilities are nice ( 4 swimming pools, a gym and common areas), the location is perfect, our room is literally 1minjte away from Matala beach. Our room was big and had a balcony where we could put our clothes to dry. Employees from the hoteL were all friendly and helpful!

Good place, mostly focused on French guests. Good meal, good service, reasonable prices, it is almost directly on the Beach.

Das Hotel wurde total renoviert. Alle Zimmer neu ausgestattet, das Bad sehr schön auf den neuesten Stand gebracht. Neue Matratzen, neue Liegen am Pool. Potential to be better exploited. Hotel with potential. Large rooms. Firm mattresses, but you can feel the springs. It would be better to have a mattress topper. No hot water 2 days out of 3 around 5 p.m.... Acceptable breakfast. Very nice pool. Quiet.

I beleive Calypso Hotel is a great hotel. The location is perfect and quiet. The staff was positive and helpful. I beleive is a very good place for families and couples. The food they offer is fine and the prices of any extra is logical. The hotel is clean. I would recommend the place to everyone. I hope to visit Calypso again in the future. Thank u !

The hotel is near the village and near the beach. Very good food, made fresh ecru day. The bedding is quite hard, rooms are very nice we had one with great terrace. Very well cleaned. Very friendly and nice people.

This small hotel is family owned and we were made to feel very welcome. Painted in traditional blue and white the premises were spotless and we stayed there for 2 nights bed and breakfast. Our twin room reminded me of Greek rooms of the 70s and was minimalist with a fridge, a drying rack for clothes and a veranda with pine trees outside offering shade and privacy. Petit hôtel de passage assez mignon. Ce n’est certes pas un 5 etoiles mais l’accueil y est très sympa, une petit décoration blanche et bleue assez mignone, une piscine agréable. Beautiful and relatively peaceful experience. We felt very welcome and at home in the room just by the pool. The pool was great! However, that room had no Wi-Fi reception, the curtains were not occlusive (sunshine at 6am) and the air conditioning along with the fridge were so loud that we had to switch them off for the night. Amazing place. Peaceful, beautiful and extremely good value for money (even with a pool). Basic rooms, but very clean and with nice balconies. We stayed one night and had breakfast. The family running the hotel treated us very kindly

We stayed at the Eva Marina hotel for two weeks. Although it is not a luxury hotel (after all, there are no such hotels in Matala), our stay was very pleasant and we have everything we need. È un hotel piacevole e rilassante, dove trascorrere una vacanza in relax. Il suo punto forte è quello di trovarsi un po’ defilato dal resto di Matala, in una via ombrosa e piena di alberi e vegetazione che ne fanno un luogo piacevole. L’hotel in sé è un po’ datato, ma questo ne aumenta il fascino per chi sa guardare oltre e scorge il lato autentico di Creta. Ci tornerei! ☀️

If you are looking for a small hotel right in the town center about 300m from the beach, this is the place for you. It is a 2 star hotel, so don't expect 5 star luxury. The most important clean room and bathroom, it seems to have been recently renovated, super nice staff with an open ear to questions. For me, the location was important to keep distances short and relatively quiet, as well as WiFi.

Nice little family hotel, great location, Good-sized airy rooms, each with a balcony. Our only criticism: the bed was a bit hard for our taste and the breakfast quite minimal ( which was enough for us, we want mostly coffee in the mornings ). If ever back in Matala, we would stay in the same hotel.

Wonderful hotel of a lovely family. If you come every year, you are welcomed and treated almost like a family member. The rooms were freshly renovated last winter. It's perfectly located near the main square.

Clean rooms basic we had no kettle just a fridge but it was only an over night stay so fine nice pool area 5 min walk to matala easily done on the flat breakfast was good continental style maybe there are rooms with better facilities it was a nice place to stay

Pros: the most friendly staff, lovely breakfast, great location, very clean. Cons: bed was hard as a rock, shower was super tiny. Couldn't have the windows open at night as a band playing nearby was crazy loud, so the room was quite warm, we had to ask the front desk for the remote for the Aircon.

Amazing hotel to stay at! Mrs. Eleni is a complete sweetheart and helped with anything we needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a mini fridge. Highly recommend staying here it was close to the beach and my family and I had a lovely stay!

Nice small hotel 10 minutes from the center, clean rooms with balcony and comfortable beds, spacious bathroom. There is also a small pool for those who need a change from the salty sea water. Quiet area, parking available at no extra cost.

Fine place. I just got annoyed by drunk people in the pool at night, people talking loud in the corridor and the stink sewer in the room sometimes.

I stayed with my 2 children in a triple room. The rooms was rather small but nice ad clean. The balcony was over viewing the street and at time noisy. The bathroom was fine but the shower box small (i am not big). The pool was large and clean and the area around very well kept. The hotel has the resort feeling which is not my style. The clientele was mainly German and the staff spoke better German...

We recently stayed in a charming bungalow accommodation and found it to be quiet, pleasant and comfortable. The bungalows are clean and nicely maintained, each featuring a nice private terrace set in a peaceful garden. The space is modest but functional. The layout is flat and easy to navigate, making it very suitable for guests with disabilities or young children. Parking is limited. Staff is friendly...

Der erste Eindruck war aufgrund einer scheinbaren Überbuchung negativ. Trotz eines gebuchten Comfortzimmers bekam ich für die erste Nacht ein sehr einfaches Zimmer. Ich stellte im laufe meines Aufenthaltes fest, dass es hier wohl öfter passiert. Die Anlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, der Pool müsste dringend saniert werden. Die Eigentümer sind stets bemüht, ein familiäres Umfeld zu schaffen....

Na 6 jaar hier weer terug voor 2,5 week. Was weer thuiskomen. Wat een aardig personeel . Half pension was zeer goed . Zowel ontbijt als avondeten. Voldoende variatie en goede kwaliteit. Komers prima. Schoonmaak goed. Bedden goed. Komen zeker weer terug

Unser Aufenthalt im Valley Village war sehr angenehm. Wir hatten ein Komfort Zimmer inklusive zwei Föhns, Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank sowie Kaffe- und Wasserservice. Das fanden wir wirklich super. Das Zimmer war stets sauber, allerdings etwas altmodisch eingerichtet und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auch das Essen war lecker und immer war für uns etwas dabei. Das Personal muss ich hier besonders hervorheben...

Wir haben unseren Urlaub im sehr schön ausgestatteten Bungalow sehr genossen. Wie immer, war das ganze Valley-Village-Team herzlich und hat uns verwöhnt. Vom Frühstück bis zum kleinen "Absacker" vor dem Schlafengehen war alles TOP! Neben den Inhabern sorgen vor allem Christina und Miro im Service dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlen kann. Auch Dora und Maria, gute Geister im Hinblick auf die Zimmerreinigung...

Eine etwas ältere, kleine aber wunderschöne und ruhige Hotelanlage. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail und mit vielen Blumen umgeben. Der Pool ist klein aber fein. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, mit viel Zutaten aus eigenen Anbau bzw. der Region. Der Zimmer-Service ist gut. Aber besonders hat uns die herzliche und hilfsbereite Art der Familie gefallen. Nous adorons séjourner dans cet hôtel, les chambres sont spacieuses, bien entretenues, climatisées, avec un frigo silencieux, un joli balcon entouré de verdure, la baie vitrée est équipée d'une moustiquaire efficace, tout est très propre et très calme, des pergolas, des plantes, des fleurs partout, une joli piscine... Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet avec des produits du potagers, des céréales...

Hôtel à seulement 1km du centre donc au calme. Chambre très grande, balcon. Jardin magnifique. Petit déjeuner en terrasse sous les bougainvilliers. Piscine très bien entretenue. On a adoré notre séjour à matala et principalement dans cet hôtel.

Lovely small family run hotel and super friendly owners.

I've stayed at this hotel three times. In 2001, 2002 and 2018. It is my favorite hotel on the island of Crete. I like everything there: the rooms, the breakfast, the garden, the hospitality of Olimpios (the owner of the hotel), the swimming pool. Thank you, Armonia for the three wonderful holidays! I'm trying to get there again in September 2022.

I stayed for two weeks and had a very enjoyable time. The rooms were simply built, but always kept clean. Dinner was Greek home cooking with a lot of vegetables and was very delicious. Small family-run hotel. Super clean! Very kind and helpful owners. When booking, I suggest asking for a room not under the dining area, otherwise you risk a bit of confusion for those who want to sleep. For dinner, in this case too, I suggest doing it outside because there is no buffet or agreeing it together

We Traveled to Matala because of severe weather in Chania area, so we chased the sun and ended up looking for a new place to stay. Most welcoming reception and could not have made us feel more special. Rooms are modern and newly decorated, breakfast included and a great pool. If you’re looking for a great place to relax and explore the southern side of Crete then this is just the place. Great value

Tasty breakfast with many options, good location, easy and free parking. The big dog that wanders at the hotel reception can be bit scary but he was calm and obeyed the owner. There was a fridge in the room.

This is a great little hotel at 10 minutes walk from the center of Matala. Nice rooms, great looking pool, delicious breakfast and lovely hosts. They also have plenty of parking spaces and a big fluffy bonus for dog lovers!

I had a lovely time in this beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly and the property is very well kept. Enjoyed my daily breakfasts. The beach is only a five minute walk and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Would certainly go back again.

Renovated hotel with a nice pool. We absolutely liked the room with a view on the pool. It's spacious and there is a nice terrace. A typically Greek bathroom, a bit small, but more than ok. Everything is really clean and we loved the breakfast. Friendly owner. The villlage is within a nice walking distance. We would recommend Paradise Hotel.
