Coronis Hotel in Naxos Chora

Stay somewhere else. Upon check out the front desk man told us we needed to pay €90 for breakfast. What?! We were never informed that there was a €10/per person charge for breakfast. He said we were told when we checked in (we weren't, only told that "breakfast is from 7:30-10"). There are multiple signs stating when breakfast is, absolutely no signs stating a per person price. The front desk man was unable to find the information about a breakfast charge on my reservation, only stating, "it must be somewhere." While speaking with him he raised his voice saying, "what, you want me to pay for your breakfast?!" He continued to demand that we pay, and the only solution he provided was that he would talk to the employee that never informed us of the charge upon check-in. "I will talk to him." It is not abnormal for a hotel to have free breakfast, there is no sign indicating a charge, and the information was not on our online reservation. The breakfast was honestly terrible, and I would not have participated in it if I knew it was not included. I only ate fruit and a cup of tea each morning, not worth €10! The rooms are outdated with hard beds and small bathrooms. The balcony view and location is good, but that is the only positive. Overall extremely unprofessional behavior upon check-out and due to this and the overall poor quality, I do not recommend.

Was due to stay here in a week. Had to have unexpected emergency surgery and personally called the hotel to see if they could work with me as I am not advised to fly so soon after surgery. They wouldn’t even give a partial refund. They have no compassion for real human life experience. I would not stay here even when I am better.

This hotel only provides good views. The rooms are so outdated and poorly set out. The bathroom is tiny and I understand there is nothing they can do about that but they can do something about the room itself. Everything is old and no thought is put in the layout of the room so if you're a couple travelling with 2 suitcases, you will have challenges moving around the room. Bath towels are old, wardrobe is smelly, fridge is old and on the ground so one of the doors does not fully open. It felt like there is no love and pride put in this hotel to make customer experience pleasant. Here's some suggestions:
Replace old smelly wardrobe with freestanding, to create more space.
Provide new bedding, new bath towels and new pillows.
Replace vanity with cupboards to put fridge under and provide a safety box.
This would create so much more space and enhance customer experience.

Hotel Coronis – Naxos, Greece

If you’re looking for a hotel with an excellent location in the heart of Naxos, Hotel Coronis might seem like an attractive choice. However, unfortunately, it falls short in terms of comfort and service.

Pros:
• The hotel boasts a prime location, making it easy to access tourist attractions, restaurants, and the beach. This could, in theory, make it a convenient option for those wanting to explore the city without long commutes.

Cons:
• Service: Unfortunately, the service is very poor, with little attention given to guest comfort or meeting their needs satisfactorily.
• Rooms: The rooms were uncomfortable and lacked the cleanliness and quality needed for a pleasant stay.
• Furniture & Facilities: The furnishings were extremely poor, making sleeping uncomfortable. Additionally, the overall facilities did not meet the standards required for a comfortable or enjoyable experience.

Conclusion:
Despite its good location, the poor service and substandard rooms make this hotel an undesirable option for those seeking a comfortable stay in Naxos. If you’re planning to visit the island, it may be best to look for another hotel that offers a higher level of comfort and service.
