Where to stay in Samos

The rooms are quite small. For us, the closet wasn't big enough to store both our clothes. Tiny bathroom which is a bit outdated. Bathroom and room wasn't cleaned all too thoroughly. Google says it is a four star hotel, for spoiled german tourists I would say it is more like a three star hotel in most point. Exception is the lovely rooftop pool with bar and friendly service. Nice hotel. Simple, has AC, nice breakfast, OK wifi. Rooms have small fridge, TV. Not luxurious, but a good value. Outdoor pool.

Rooms were awesome. Location was nice, not too far away from City but far enough to dodge a lot of traffic and the local area and have fun. Nice view

Perfect location, just walking distance (around 10 mins) from the ferry, beautiful beach, friendly staff, clean rooms although no hot water at times, reasonable prices at the restaurant.

Very close to great beach gagou, hotel is clean and has a great view but bathrooms are too old and need renovation. Shower curtain was dirty and there aren’t hair dryer and kettle in rooms. Breakfast would have been better.

Location is perfect, hotel is located in walking distance to vathy Center and Port as well. Gaggou Beach is in Front of the Hotel so No need to find and Travel to another Beach for swimming. Great hotel. Liked the sea view much. Huge balcony! Nice breakfast, great chef's work on the dinner. Beach is superb but lacks facilities, even dressing cabin is out of order. But overall it's a gorgeous place and I definitely recommend it if you're not too picky.

the rooms are quite basic, other than what you see on the booking websites, but all necessities are there. bathrooms are typical greek; small open showers means a very wet bathroom. staff is super friendly and ambiance is very nice. breakfast is good. location is great. a beach nearby with beds for 8 EUR. and restaurants, supermarket and bars within a 5 min walk with great scenery and not super touristy

Very familiar and warm treatment. Room was fully renovated, bed very comfortable. Very helpful tips about beaches, excursions and restaurants to visit.

My wife and I spent a week here while traveling around the island and the hospitality was amazing. A very kind and caring family greeted us and helped us explore the island throughout our time. We also had great conversations in the evening with the night staff. With a healthy breakfast every morning, and a pool perfect for cooling off, we have great memories.

The name Sunrise Hotel is an understatement! Seeing the sun rise over the mountains across the Aegean Sea around 630 am is an incredible site to see. The rooms are a bit small, however there is adequate closet space for your belongings and the rooms are very clean. We booked the suite which was filly renovated this winter. The two bedroom suite is super cute and with the spacious rooftop you don’t want or need to leave your room. A nice hotel with a clean room. The location is good. My room was on the first floor with a view of the inner courtyard, which was good because the sun didn’t heat the room during the day. For this reason, I didn’t need air conditioning, which is available for an additional fee of about 10€ per day. Daily cleaning was also an extra charge. We've stayed 3 days at Virginia Hotel. The owner(s) and the staff was very helpful and concerned. We were a very big and special request full of visitors. We were really enjoyed staying at the hotel.

Staff is nice and friendly. We enjoyed their quick help for our car, accommodation and very friendly and nice attitude. However, hotel needs a bit of refurbishment, further cleaning, bit of cosy touch and these can easily be fulfilled. Besides, breakfast should be improved by more ingredients and better presentation. If you don’t expect anything from rooms and breakfast, it’s better than nothing...

It's an ok hotel. It's clean, and the service is good. Apparently they don't have double rooms so we ended up in two separate rooms, which was unexpected, but in our case it was fine. If we had small children I wouldn't want them in a separate room though. The breakfast is a bit lacking, but if you just pop next door you'll find a great place to eat breakfast.

Amazing views from the room. Rooms were clean though are certainly feeling a little tired, but for the price, can't complain. Will say, the beds are quite firm. Excellent service. Location is so calm and quiet at nice, made for a really peaceful stay.

I stayed at the hotel for two days. Its location is very very good, close to city center and a good beach. Our room was at the uppest floor with a great Island view. Disadvantages; rooms are so old, bath has bad condition, just one or two sockets are working. So crowdes at Breakfast time, you must be fast for finding an egg or cake.

Small, clean rooms with an amazing view. The owners are really kind. Eleni was so helpful, and she was the perfect host. The beach down the hotel is so nice. The terrace has an amazing view. We enjoyed our stay there. Hope to stay there again.

Rooms are totally new and well decorated. Plus their views are stunning! It is close to Gagou beach which has a restaurant and it is >5 mins distance. It is run by a family, who are the most sympathetic and kind people in the whole island!

Providing great comfort with good service, large and clean rooms, rich selection of breakfast and amazing staff always smiling and very friendly. Location is a little far from center to walk 8-10 minutes but it's also acceptable as it makes the atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. Probably the best one on the island and definitely will be our next choose again.

The rooms, bar and pool are all revamped recently. It is super modern and really nice. The view of the room I stayed in was amazing. Staff is truly friendly and try to give the best hospitality.

Had a great stay at Emily Hotel . The staff is very friendly and helped me a lot to get to know great places in the town . The hotel is not far from Vathy Port only 5 minutes walk away . The closest nice beach is Paralia Gaggou and it is 15 minutes walk away . The bus stop for travelling around the island is 5 minutes walk away. Strongly recommended to stay.

Ms. Emily is really fine lady. And her son is very kind. They help for everything for you... you can taste delicious Greek hot coffee...The hotel is not far from the Port of Vathi, about 200-300 m.

From the welcoming of Mrs. Nancy who gave us excellent tips to visit the island, to the lovely accomodation, super clean & smelling good room, the nice views and the pool/bar area with a cosy feeling thanks to the smooth music, everything was superb. Swimming with a view like that, what else ! Highly recommended for a few days on the island may you be single or in couple.

Lovely Greek Hotel with wonderful views of Samos town and port. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We got a nice and very clean room with a balcony overlooking the Aegean sea for a very good price! We stayed 7 days. The distance to the center is only a 5min walk and there was enough space to park our car. Samos is a beautiful town with good restaurants. Highly recommended.

Nice place for invitations and nice staff except for the manager. He is an arrogant and rude individual who clearly doesn't care about the staff or the customers.
