Blue Horizon Studios in Skiathos Town

We have just returned from a 10 nights stay at this hotel and can highly recommend it. All staff are friendly and welcoming and create a relaxed atmosphere. Lovely pool area with adequate amount of sunbeds which do not get fully occupied. Air conditioning and safety deposit box is included in the cost of your holiday which is not the norm for Greece so is an added advantage. Lovely snacks served from the bar area at reasonable prices. There are tremendous views across the port of Skiathos Town from the poolside and planes can be seen coming into land at the airport. Cleaning staff attended our room on a daily basis and changed towels. Bed linen was changed on 3 occasions during our stay. The biggest drawback of the hotel is it's location. For such lovely views there is a price to pay and that is the walk up the hill. We are both in our 60's and walked up it every night but ensured we took our time. It was very hot on the island whilst we were there and this probably contributed to the difficulty walking up the hill. If you have any mobility issues at all then this probably isn't the right place for you. Other than this we had no complaints whatsoever.

Amazing view, clean rooms, daily room cleaning air conditioned room, clean and comfortable pool, comfortable poolside with sunbeds. Polite service. Quiet and peaceful accomodation. Full!

So we have not done a self catering hotel for a while ( please note when we do an all inclusive we still eat and drink out at local restaurants ) What can I say entering the hotel we were warmly greeted , just looking around the hotel you could see it is well cared for and kept very clean . The hill yes it is steep , but there are plenty of taxis , we always walked it for some exercise at the bottom of the hill just over the roundabout there is a mini market , we would buy a bottle of water to drink on the way up to the hotel , but don't let that put you off . The hotel was clean and is family run and gave it a nice friendly touch , our room was geat , we didn't use any of the cooking facilities in the room , air con was brilliant , wifi great and safe was included . The bathroom was spacious enough for us the shower was good , the room was cleaned everyday . Food and drink was excellent and well priced large glass of wine & large draft beer was at the time 9.00 Euros . There was no issues with sun loungers that we could see and around the pool area was very clean. I will be coming backto this hotel but due to other holidays booked in 2026 it will not be until 2027 , not only is it a boomerang Island there is a boomerang hotel that was proved as a lot of guests staying there have previously stayed here before and keep coming back .

Amazing place to stay. Mike was fantastic, very attentive and nothing is too much. The food its great, fair prices. Everything is very well kept, clean and tidy. Cleaners come in daily to clean and fresh towels are provided. I don't have a bad word to say. Will absolutely come again!!

We have just returned from a week at Blue Horizon. This is our second visit and we have already booked for next year . The studios are very clean and comfortable with amazing views over skiathos town. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming . The food served here is lovely we had breakfast and lunch on occasions . There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool. We particularly love the quiet location .

First time at Blue Horizon but not our last. We’ve been to Skiathos many times over the years, never had a bad holiday. It’s nicknamed the Boomerang Island for a reason, you keep returning. The owners of Blue Horizon were lovely and attentive and helpful. The place was spotless, food was good, bedrooms were ideal, with air conditioning, beds made up everyday with fresh towels put in room. Can’t fault the place. Great views down over the town, good walk down but the walk up is steep at first but gets easier as your holiday goes on, or it’s cheap enough for taxi ride back up. Would recommend the apartments to anyone

Great friendly hotel, beautiful views, 12 mins from the airport, and spotlessly clean. I think there are only 14 rooms which, added to the amazing family who run it, make for a lovely relaxing holiday. Nothing is too much trouble for Elena and Michael. The lunch and dinner menu is not extensive, but piping hot and tasty. There are more than enough padded sun beds around pool, which is clean and tidy always. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because, the water pressure isn’t great in the shower, and the beds were too firm for my particular taste, but the overall experience far outweighed those minor points. The hotel is on quite a steep hill, but ok to walk down to the town ( 10 mins stroll), and €10 in a cab back up. I can’t wait to return to this hotel, and will highly recommend it to friends.

Our 2nd time in Skiathos, our first stay at Blue Horizon Studios. A full 2 weeks of absolute bliss! An amazing family run accommodation who make you feel part of their family. Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are a good size with a kitchen area, bathroom, wardrobes, double bed, dressing table. Plenty of sockets and lighting, and a good size balcony with clothes drier. The rooms are cleaned everyday, towels, bedding etc. The menu is quite small but everything is cooked perfect and all of the meals are really nice. Great selection of drinks at the bar. The dining area is really modern and very clean and inviting. The pool area has sun beds and again is really nice and clean with an amazing sea view and a good view over the town. There is a great view of the planes landing and taking off. It’s a 15 minute walk into town down the hill, once you’ve done the hill back you get used to it, but the views you get is well worth the walk. Absolute amazing place to stay and we are already looking at booking again!

This hotel has a strong 'returners' clientele and you can see why. Family atmosphere, fab staff. The walk up is not for those with a pace-maker but the view is un-rivalled. Noticed that a few got taxi's home! Would recommend.

This is our second stay here and we love it, the views are amazing. Rooms are cleaned everyday with clean towels, you can always get a sunbed and they are all really comfy. The pool bar is modern and serves some great food, every meal I had was delicious. Its such a peaceful place and Michael and his family are so lovely, they really want you to enjoy your holiday, nothing is too much trouble. The hill is worth the views and the chilled out vibe after being in the busy town. Cant wait to come back, gem of a place
