The hotel is located in a beautiful location. I appreciated the possibility of free parking, there was always a free space. I also welcomed the entrance to the room directly from the terrace, where there was a beautiful view of the sea. There was a bar, a clean pool and friendly service all day. On the day of departure, we were provided with a room for luggage and a shower. Recommend.

Everything about this place is excellent: rooms, service, food, warm and welcoming attitude, lovely pool, delicious breakfast, breathtaking views of Megali Ammos. The only problem is if you are elderly and don’t have a car, like us, the climb up from the town or beach is very very difficult. The owner Thassos was able to solve our problem by hooking us up with a special taxi service which was very reliable but rather pricey. Other than that, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Hotel René. The delicious Thai menu, along with the normal Greek food, was really a great plus when you’re in the mood for a change.

Amazing views from the hotel. Rooms have sea view, are clean and have everything you need including small fridge and hairdryer. Lovely pool with plenty of beds and bar/snacks open all day.
One thing to note - the hotel is on a hill so expect a steep hill towards the end of the walk back from Skiathos town.
Bus stop 4 nearby to take you to different beaches.

We've just returned home from our holiday to Hotel Rene in Skiathos. We've had a wonderful time. The hotel overlooks the town and bay, the views are glorious. The hotel is family run. Anistasio and his wife Mod were in charge, they are supported by a fantastic team. Nothing is too much trouble, they always greet you with a smile. Whilst there we took the opportunity to try Thai food prepared by Mod; it was divine. A great holiday. Mark & Sue UK.

Beautiful family run hotel. The location is perfect, short walk to the beach and Skiathos town. The hill is very steep so bear in mind if you have mobility issues. Taxis are easy to get though! Breakfast lovely each morning, sometimes had to wait a little while for food to be replenished. Sunbeds always available and the views are incredible. We had a lovely time here.

This is a good hotel with a stunning view over the ocean. And a nice pool area. The hotel is on a good location near the beach and near the big street Papadiamantis. But be prepared that you have to go up a hill to get to this hotel. The staff are also good.
A couple of negative things is that the beds are really hard, and I meen really hard. As my brother said " I don't dare to sleep on my stomach because I'm afraid that the bed is gonna break my ribs". And the breakfast was bad. Some white bread and cheese and ham.. you can skip it and eat out instead.
