Where to stay in Pecs

The prices are okay, as is the service, but the food would not be something I would recommend. The soup and the main dish were mediocre at best. The rice, for example, was one of the worst rice I've ever eaten, totally bland and way overcooked. The dessert was pretty good though.

This is a very simple 3-star hotel, used to be a student hostel. Internally nicely renovated, do not expect too much but rather cheap so good cost-benefit ratio. The rooms are OK, the breakfast selection is fine. The congress centre is for about 100-120 persons.

we were on a business trip and only stayed one night..my first introduction to the hotel was by a young man named Kende at the reception who was very polite and helpful..I enjoyed the wellness centre also the gentleman at the desk was very nice..the dinner is some to remember in a good way good portions and tasty..I will return again when I am around pecs..highly recommend.

We stayed in a triple room (006). Spacious room with good modern design, large closet, refrigerator, international TV, 2 beds and sofa, 2 armchairs, table. It feels like student canteen (everyone sits at one big table), but the food and the prices were okay anyways. They have vegan options which is a big plus!

An affordable place in the outer part of the city. The daily menu is very tasteful and the portions are big. Some of the waiters are a bit grumpy though.

We planned to go on March but due to unexpected reason we had to cancel and they were very flexible to move to another date. The hotel was clean and comfortable, they suggested to go to the roof with a glass of wine bc the panoramic was wonderful :) So they were very helpful however the receptionist was not familiar with the public transport possibilities. I really recommend this hotel to families...

Clean and comfortable rooms, with great location.

Second time at this hotel and I can say I would come back again. Great pricing friendly staff, family owned who also works there. Breakfast included in price and considering the hot summer again in Europe the pool facility is a huge bonus. One of my greatest time to cool down in a pool.

It is a very distinctive historic hotel. Although the rooms are small, they are comfortable and clean. It is located in the ancient city area and you can visit various attractions on foot. The breakfast is rich and the CP value is high. There is a parking lot in the basement, which is very convenient and worth visiting again.

Located in heart of the city a few blocks from Szechenyi Square and within walking distance of all major attractions. Over 100 years of history as one of the fanciest hotels in Pecs. The location should be in the city center, with many restaurants to choose from. The house is antique and unique. The room is a little small for two people, and the toilet is still the old-fashioned flush type (the kind that can only be used by turning on the natural faucet). This is probably because it is an old hotel. The view from the balcony on the fourth floor is still worth seeing

We loved this hotel. The room was clean and well equipped (except for a drying rack for swimwear...) and all staff members were helpful, especially the lovely lady in the restaurant. Food was delicious and plenty. The pool was clean and the sauna and hot tub excellent. The gym was a bit basic and too warm, but available.

Rooms offered in the old building were spacious, clean but without the desired privacy. Windows were in the main corridor, so passerby lodges could see right through the windows. Rooms in the new building are perfect, so is breakfast and location. Staff good.

They have a huge selection, friendly and well-prepared Routine Professionals, and they also take individual orders. We POINT we asked for and received.

It's a fatalistic place, not only for meals but also for accommodation. As it is located on the top of the hill so a little bit hard to drive, but the view is always wonderful at the top. We ordered an owl plate for two, which was very delicious, and enough for we three. We will come back again!

I enjoyed every single thing in szent gyorgy residence I stayed here for 6 days with my family and the rooms were beautiful, the staff were friendly, the food was brilliant and the service was excellent I highly recommend this place to everyone I'm looking forward coming here next year

With my partner, this is one of our secret favorites. It is always special to live in a castle. Due to the protection of monuments, this hotel is an elongated structure that fits into the castle wall, so we can get to our small room through long corridors. We really feel like we live in a castle. The room has a beautiful view of the castle courtyard and the surrounding hills from the small window....

Correct value for money. Clean, recently renovated but one can still recognise the signs of the 80's. The breakfast is what local people eat. Nothing fancy, simple and cheap ingredients. The castle environment is really cool.

Fantastic experience staying in a castle. The rooms are clean and somewhat updated (shower, bathroom) but the furnitures are from the old days (not from the original castle old days more like from the 70’s) yet it’s still well set up for a travelers. It was a little effort to check in and out since the reception area is not always attended. Nice view from the rooms.

Ok hotel close to the city center. Rooms were fine and clean but a bit older, there's enough space for two people. I'm the back there's a small, cosy courtyard to sit down and relax. Limited gated parking was free and available on-site. Staff was friendly, breakfast was buffet with cold and warm options, quality was ok. Overall very acceptable for the price of 36€ I paid per night.

We stayed here for 15 nights whilst it was lovely we did have a few problems, house keeping would often ignore the signs and decided not to clean our room when we wanted it, none of the rooms or building is sound proofed so people would bang on the wall at 8am in an attempt to silence my children as the walls are paper thin, there was also no safe in the bedroom to keep belongings safe and also whilst...

This hotel feels like home, but even better. The rooms are clean, nice and spacious. The room has a mini fridge. The staff are always very kind and helpful. The hotel is situated above Pécs, in a magical forest. We love to come "home" here every time, we visit Pécs.

Perfectly quite location, ideal for a romantic getaway. The hotel's modern but nature friendly style perfectly fits in the foresty environment, ideal for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended if you prefer a quiet stay away from the noisy city life. The hotel is only a 10 mins drive from the city centre too, so it's easy to pop out for a romantic dinner too.

Concept from the Hotel is very interesting. There are no room numbers, rooms are named according to sports. I liked the idea. Very clean rooms. Big space in it. Very comfortable. Whole stuff very nice(i hope the owner or the manager reward them for engagement). Location is on the outskirts of the city, but the view is gorgeous. I would recommend it to everyone.

Hotel is at a great location. Just 1 minute walk from Kiraly Street. Services and room was good. They even offered baby cot. Although they need to work more on the cleanliness like vacuum of the carpet, cleaning of the kettles in the room, cleaning the sofa in the room. The hotel is just 5-8 minutes away from the the main square by foot. The room was comfortable and the parking was a plus. However, the breakfast was not great at all and we had to pay extra (300-400 huf a cup) to get coffees, as they were not included in the breakfast. The checkin hostess was kind but the checkout one was more on the rude side.

The room and bed was good,the breakfast was ok. The receptionist terrible,her organizing skills were below zero,she said to everything that I don't know or I am not sure if I can resolve it. Here you can not change euro in Hungarian forint,which was bad for us, because we arrived with a group late in the evening and had to go early in the morning. Only one thing was good that we can postpone our booking...

Not bad but a slightly tired and run down hotel compared to most I stayed at in Hungary. The location was very good though and free parking was very handy.

Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was OK, personel nice. But beware: paking is hard to find and is a bit expensive. The worst was an aircondition machine below the window, making a noise all the night (switching on and off). Another issue was a light right behind the window, switching on and off too.

The location of the hotel is more than perfect. It is located in the center of the city, in the very heart of the city. On the other hand, on the side and front of the hotel is Arkad Shopping Center (you have a variety of options for a quick meal). Had a very nice stay at Hotel Central in one of the apartments. The kitchen could have been a little cleaner and better equipped but we were overall satisfied. Tasty breakfast and the option to take it up to your rooms, lovely and talkative staff, best value for money.

I would give 5 star if the bedroom, toilet and bathroom have keys to lock their doors. After all, you can stay here. The receiptionist is very kind and friendly.

The room was fine: the air conditioner did its job flawlessly, the bathroom was clean - although the shower cubicle was specifically for one person.
