Hotel located a few steps from Assisi and the major centers of interest in the Umbria region. Hospitable structure and spacious and welcoming rooms. The staff are helpful and friendly. Beautiful pool and above all always clean. One of the strengths of the hotel is certainly the chef: a simple person with golden hands ... I would add a true all-rounder. Would I go back ... Hotel under renovation, but it has all the comfort that a customer is looking for. Friendly and helpful staff, it also has a brand new SPA and a good outdoor pool. From the reviews I'd read, I expected worse. Overall, the hotel isn't bad; it's large and in a good location for visiting Umbria's towns. The room was large and clean. Breakfast could definitely be improved.

A wonderful place to host families with children.

We areived past the 10pm check in and they stayed for us which was great. The room was nice and the bed was comfy, but the air-con didnt work so was a very warm and uncomfortable first night in Italy. Breakfast was good with a good variety. The staff were all lovely and very helpful.

The hotel is easy to reach and has it’s own in-house parking. The outdoor recreation area and the pool area are exceptional. Pls consider that the area is used for weddings having an impact on your personal freedom as hotel guest. Otherwise the spot is an excellent choice.

The house has a history of 1600 years. Italy is such a magical place. The room is very large and the ceilings are very high. It is very comfortable to live in. I will stay here again if I have the chance.

We booked this property based on the positive reviews. This historic residence dates back to the 14th century and is strategically located for visiting Assisi, Spello, and Rasiglia. We had a huge family suite in this fabulous old building. The breakfast was delicious, everything fresh and tasty. The receptionist was exceptional, extremely helpful and welcoming. It is vet conveniently located, with easy parking outside. Recommended

This a fantastic 13th century former castle near the airport (5 mins) reasonably priced. The staff are fantastic and one has just said taxi's are too expensive and is going to take us to the airport. That is real excellent service

Stayed at this site to visit Assisi. Small site under pine trees with beautiful view of Assisi. Facilities were very good, clean and with decent showers. Site runs an excellent shuttle service to Assisi, dropping you there in morning and collecting in afternoon. Great dog walking field and good bar. Certainly recommend as a travel stopover.

Nice place and staff. Very well located closed to Assissi. There is a small coffee shop inside the grounds, which is also very good. We stay there for just one night in September, but we will return for sure.

Very nice campsite with facilities that are clean and well taken care of. Ideally situated for trips to Assisi and Marmore Falls. High pine trees provide a lot of shade, but pitches are mostly open. Includes a restaurant with amazing food that is somehow cheaper than most food in Italy.

Staff is welcoming, food is very good. Croissant with coffee in the morning and pizza in the evening is recommended. Camping is located 5 KM from Assisi and 8 minutes from the airport. Campsite is located at a T crossing of a busy road which causes quite a bit of noise. Restaurant across the street has regular loud music until late in the evening. The noise pollution depends where your stand is...

We stayed in our campervan for two nights. A great welcome from the team including information about Assisi and the Basilica of St Francis. Nice clean facilities, great restaurant, and great shade to park under. Shuttle to and from assisi, free of charge.

I returned because my friends organized the end of school year dinner, and I must say that I found the service much improved, the staff always kind and helpful, the pizza really good, they changed the pizza chef, and I must say it deserves. Well placed local; excellent dishes from linguine and risotto, etc., to main courses of land and sea; all exquisite. Fair value for money; there can be waiting times with regards to pizzas, while for the first and second courses you wait a little longer ... I repeat, always good ... and it may be worth it. Staff always available and with full sympathy.

Welcoming, hospitable and very well-kept rooms. For dinner we stopped at the restaurant and dinner was excellent, both the pizza and the food. Breakfast was also good and plentiful.

We stayed at this hotel while on a Perillo tour. This was the 2nd hotel out of 3 on the tour. The hotel is large with a pool in the back and great views of Assisi up on the hill. It is not close to anything within walking distance, so you will need a car if you are not with a group. It has a restaurant on site with a breakfast buffet each morning and a spa. I did not visit the spa, so can't comment...

Great location. The hotel's location is fantastic; you're practically right in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli! Upon entering our room (which was very spacious, by the way), we found the shower door was broken. We reported it to the front desk, and by the next day, everything was fixed.

Well situated hotel. Such a pitty it could offer more. Thumbs up for kind and willing staff. In my opinion there was always cold in rooms maybe the managment of the hotel expected warm April. Meals were finely prepared but the breakfast was really poor and this was quite disappointing.

Pros: Just in front of train station, take bus line C to the city center. Mac Donald is located within 120 m. Cons: Breakfast so so only, not many amenities nearby , unless crossing the highway, walk thru underground passage way to reach the other side of town.

Spotless family run Hotel. We stayed for four nights and had dinner on three of the evenings. Food was superb and very good value. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a large balcony. Very convenient to Assisi Station just across the road where there are bus connections to the center of Assisi.

This is one of the best stays we have ever been to ! The hotel was spacious and beautiful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They treat you like family. The hotel is located just across the train station which very convenient. The room temperature was uncomfortably cold inspite of high heat setting. Limited choices for breakfast. An attendant had to dole out the food; you are not supposed to be able to help yourself.

Handy position for station. Hotel is opposite station. Very handy. Our train was cancelled due to a strike. So needed somewhere just ti stay the night. We booked around mid day and just walked over intending to leave our luggage but room was ready. So we’re able to use the room.

Property across the road from train station. 50 m to train and bus stop. Room clean. Bathroom clean. Facilities ok. You get what you paid for. Stayed in early December. Heating was turned off at around 9 pm until around 6am. Not a perfect situation. Otherwise happy with stay.

Location is great as it is just a stone throw away from the train station and bus stop. But the surroundings only have McDonald. This hotel does not provide any drinking water. Overall, it is still not too bad if you are looking for a quiet place to stay.

The place is situayed in a very quiet area and surrounded by nature. Inside it is very basic but very clean. The room was clean, spacious, but basic. Bathroom has everythjng and spotless clean. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful and knows how to give a very good service with a smile. I think overall it is an excellent place.

The grounds are so large that it feels like a private resort. The view of Assisi from the garden is the highlight of this accommodation. The rooms are of a reasonable standard. The owner is kind and nice. I visited in the winter, but I would like to visit again in the summer to experience the pool and restaurant. It is located at the entrance of Assisi Village.

Good place to stay I've stayed here quite a few times, so that speaks for itself. The pool is the big asset plus the views across the valley. It's a bit of a trek up to Assisi itself - about 15 minutes up hill on a road with traffic. If you don't have a car, you need to plan carefully. You can get drinks and basic lunch at the house. We go to Assisi at least twice a year and the Hotel Windsor is a fixed stop that we have never changed. It has an optimal location, a few meters from the Basilica and easily reachable by car without having to travel the internal roads of the town. Stayed here as part of a pilgrimage tour - and it was just lovely. The very warm Umbrian service, wonderful food served to us, and great facilities make me want to come back by myself soon. Can't recommend too highly - excellent location for the sights of Assisi.

The hotel per se was quite good. Our room was comfortable in every way. The bar downstairs had wonderful gelato. Our breakfasts had a good selection. Their baked goods were all excellent. My only disappointment was the two seated dinners our group had. The food was good but the service was lacking badly, possibly to staffing problems.

The room was nice and sophisticated with a white, blue and purple theme. The location was great, between the bus stop and St. Francis Basilica! It was a shame that they couldn't store my luggage after I checked out. I had to leave Assisi soon.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We hosted our first night of pre wedding celebrations here, having booked the bar room and the entire outdoor balcony overlooking the valley. We had an open bar with drink tickets and a beautiful spread of finger food that was absolutely delicious. Very attentive and lovely staff and the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous.
