Hotel Il Sole

Hotel is great located, so that you can easily go to Florence. Clean rooms and goos breakfast.
Once the windows are not good isolated, so that you hear cars outside.

We chose to find a place at Empoli to travel easily between Siena and Florence. Hotel Il Sole is the best option at Empoli. It is conveniently located across Empoli station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Niccolo was awesome and made us feel very welcome! Rooms are newly refurbished and very clean. Our room included breakfast which provided good options. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

And location is perfect, the railway station is in front of hotel.

Nickoli runs a very nice hotel. From instant email response to my questions, to a very warm welcome upon arrival. Yes, the rooms are small, but the furnishings are up to date and everything is very clean.

He gave us great dinner recommendations. If we are ever in Empoli again, and we just might just to say hi and stay another night.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. We found the hotel excellent throughout. The family who run the hotel were all very friendly, helpful and very polite. They made our stay very welcome and comfortable. The hotel rooms are a good size, comfortable, clean and modern. the wifi was good, tv in the rooms were good. the bathroom had a good shower. The hotel was in a fantastic position very close to the main station making it very easy to travel around. There is parking nearby if driving.
The hotel is also about 5 mins to the centre of Empoli, which we thought was a lovely town which was perfect base and better than staying in Pisa or Florence where it is more crowded. Their are plenty of restaurants within 5-10 min walk and we found 2 that were very good. One was called La Maison which was fish and Pizza restaurant. All th food was good here. The other was called Ramerino which was also very nice both a relaxing 5 and 10 min stroll from Il Sole.
There are lots of coffee bars and some bars around Empoli and all colse again. Some really good shops around and we found a nice Kappa shop selling a great range of Kappa products.
There are a few super markets only about 8-9 mins away and lots of ice cream parlours around.
Pisa is only a 30 mins train journey away and currently cost around 5 euros one way. Florence about 20 mins away and costs about 4 euros. Trains are sometimes every 10-15 mins.
I would definitely return to Empoli and recommend Il Sole Hotel.

Wonderful hotel. Modern finishing. Breakfast is included, and the breakfast room is a wonderful little spot with character. Right across the train station (you don't hear the trains) so it's 30 mins from central Florence. Empoli itself is a beautiful town with less tourists...Very affordable pricing.
