Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. The rooms are clean and spacious.Nice balcony with an amazing view and
quiet area.
Breakfast is very wel organised and includes freshly baked croissants.
We are very happy to be back after our visit in 2016, we can definitely see the constant improvements that makes it interesting to see and exciting to experience.

Wonderful staff and extremely convenient to the public transit lines including the vaporettos. Buy a multiday pass and all of Venice is available to you in a short ride! You get the relaxed beach town vibes in Lido without hauling luggage across half of Venice by foot. The hotel is basic but absolutely everything you need to be comfortable. The staff go above and beyond. Very nice and accommodating to your requests. Just super friendly people. And the dog is so chill and just hangs out all day. Doesn't bother anyone but likes a good pet (with permission). Would definitely stay here again!

Disastrous Stay: No Heating, Rude Staff, and Disruptive Dog
My three-night stay at hotel Sorriso was a complete nightmare. The room had no heating, leaving us freezing cold even with extra layers and blankets. The old receptionist was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Only after two nights of complaints did a young receptionist finally move us to a different room. However, the fact that it took persistent complaints and two nights of discomfort to prompt any action is simply unacceptable. If a hotel cannot provide heating in April, they shouldn't be renting out rooms. A comfortable temperature for sleep is not an amenity, it's a must.
In addition to the heating and staff issues, another major problem was the presence of a large dog that freely wandered around the ground floor, including the reception, kitchen, and breakfast area. The dog incessantly barked at guests, creating a disruptive and unpleasant atmosphere. This not only detracted from the overall experience but also raised concerns about hygiene and safety.
Overall, my stay at this hotel in Venice was undoubtedly the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I strongly advise against considering this establishment for your visit to Venice. Look elsewhere for a hotel that prioritizes guest comfort, professionalism, and a peaceful environment.

Great choice to visit Venice staying out of the busy center and a short stroll from the sea. It's clean and bright but is a 2* hotel so if you don't expect to much it's perfect.

First and foremost, I must commend the staff, from the reception to the breakfast staff to the lady who tidied up the room, everyone was kind, prepared and attentive. The room was comfortable, spacious, well equipped, everything was spotlessly clean. We chose the plain room (no sea view), with a view of the street and a horse riding arena, we were happy with this experience. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection, quality ingredients and great coffee. The Vaporetto station is seven bus stops from the accommodation, with frequent services. There are a few small cafes, bars and restaurants nearby, which we tried and were very satisfied with.

Loved this hotel in Lido Venezia, lovely friendly staff, very accommodating. Rooms air conditioning was brilliant lovely large rooms with ensuite & balcony. Highly recommend ❤️

Definitely worth 5 stars.. (Read until the end for the best part)
The person at the reception was so nice. He gave us directions and an overview about the place even before reaching. So, it was very easy to reach the island and find the hotel. We knew where we were going and our way around with the daily passes and the public transport. We regret that our stay was only for 2 nights.
The hospitality was amazing, something that you do not get easily in Europe. As soon as we reached, the person explained the way around in a very detailed manner.
We did not have any shortage of supplies. Our rooms were cleaned every time.
Contrary to others, we had no problem with the dog! :) Very nice and calm!
The best part : We were to check out really early in the morning around 4 AM. The person at the reception made sure that we did not miss breakfast and packed two bags (one bag per one room) with breakfast for us to take away which we had on our way back I felt that was a really nice gesture.
The only reason for 4 stars is air conditioner not working but it was not extreme summer therefore was manageable for us! :) So technically.. 4.5 stars!!

Nice hotel but the lady at the reception was very rude, she also has a big dog which she keeps him down with her in the reception who keeps barking which is annoying. Also they hardly understand basic English that is used in hotels, a lady cleaned the room but not did not change the towels, the hotel needs to up a lot of things.

They canceled our booking and pretended they don’t know how it got canceled! Seems like it’s easy for them to overbook and cancel by their own choice!

Beautiful and peaceful location, not to far from the center of Venice. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who's visiting for a couple of days!
