The apartment was delightful, clean and cared for in every detail. Unfortunately we were unable to meet Martina in person, but she was always available, present and kind from the beginning of our stay, giving us advice on restaurants and things to see, and offering us every comfort to make our stay pleasant and unforgettable.

This was my second visit to Le Dodici Luna and we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the lovely, spacious room. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Matera. I also think it is worth staying at least two nights so you have time to see everything. The included breakfast is great and includes homemade yogurt.

The courtyard is charming and we were greeted warmly. During check in we were given a quick orientation of the old city with a map. Our room was comfortable and, as were were there during some clear November days, we did not experience dampness. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

WOW, Matera is a very unique place! To appreciate it, you need to walk lots of stairs up and down but its history and beauty are worth it! Most of the city is pedestrian with many important historical places to visit, like antic churches and museums. When we first arrived to Le Dodici Lune we could not believe out eyes. The hotel is built into old caves in Stassi Caveoso and is a truly remarkable place. The hotel is absolutely a stunning location with its historical background and suite with a view on Sassi di Matera. With a flawless service and care for details we had a blast on Christmas Day. Me, my husband and kids left the place thankful and enjoyed each moment having felt there like home. I highly recommend this beautiful place if you search for luxurious and most comfortable spot.

Loved it! Vincenzo is a great host and I got a thorough introduction to the location and history of the place (multilingual in IT, EN and FR). Didn't use the breakfast unfortunately, but the table sure looked lovely. If you visit Matera and want to be in the heart of it and want to catch a glimpse of life in a "Sasso", this is the place to book! We departed with "Until next time!" - magari ... :-)

The room we had was spacious with a good view and the property is well located being a 5 minute walk to the heart of the Sassi. We had a good breakfast and were appreciative of our host's advice on restaurants and on parking which can be paid for immediately opposite in a parking lot or can be found easily enough in the surrounding streets for free. So much kindness and availability. We stayed two days in this beautiful structure, very welcoming, clean room and abundant breakfast. The b & b is located in a very central area in the stones and accessible from all roads. All very comfortable but nothing compared to the kindness and helpfulness of the owners Nicola and his father. Very clean room and all with attention to the smallest details, it is located in the center of the stones in an optimal position to walk around the entire center of Matera. We stayed for one night, everything was perfect starting from the warmth and the scent that greeted us, continuing we found a cleanliness and care in all the smallest details. Another thing that left us truly amazed and the breakfast, nothing was missing, from sweet to savory. Really all great.
