I stayed at a&o Venezia Mestre for 3 nights in April 2024.
What I liked:
- Location: It's located a few hundred meters away from Venezia Mestre Train station and is very easy to locate. For me this was really important because I had two heavy suitcases to wheel around.
- Rooms are clean and cleaned daily. Also somewhat spacious and they have an ensuite bathroom with shower gel, hair dryer and hand soap.
- Fresh sheets are given on check-in
- Luggage room where luggage can be stored for free
- Large common area to hang out
What I didn't like:
- the USB ports on the beds didn't work.
- Top bunks had no sockets and I had to charge my phone from the socket right next to the room door (which was really inconvenient).
- The guest kitchen smelled really strange and there were no cups or cutlery. Quite disappointing
That being said, it's a good hostel with decent value. If some of the challenges are addressed, then it can be even better.

Fantastic location. 5 minutes walk from train a n buss to airport. Receptionist was great and helping. Room nice and clean.

I arrived on April 13, 2024, spring time. and the weather was very hot during the day. The A/C was not working and when I asked the front desk about it, they Indicated the maneger didn't authorized to turn on the A/C. They told me to opend the window.The smell of people sweat can be noticed in all the hotel. My room was soo hot, and the listing at expedia indicates the hotel has A/C, so went back to the front desk and asked for my money back, because I will leave the hotel. I talked to guy named Davido(yellow polo), he indicated that he filled in the system a claim # 384143 (he didnt wanted to give a printed copy of the claim or the email, just wrote on a piece of paper the registration #), and that my money will be returned to my CC but at this date (April 26) I have not recieved the money.
I talked to expedia too, and they said they were unable obtaind the refund from the hotel, and now expedia also don't want to return the money too.

Very good location, 5 minutes walk from Mestre train station. Good atmosphere and secured environment, attached bathroom with hand wash, shower gel, hairdryer, enough tissue paper all are there. Good 24/7 customer service indeed. Highly recommended.
* Few headlights together in one room made me feel disturbed from my bed while sleeping and the authority can think to find a solution. :)

The ideal place to stay for a night when you have a trip to Venice) Location and price are so great! The rooms need renovation (toilet doesn't work properly, a USB socket on a bed doesn't work too, plumbing in the bathroom are dirty and worn). Room service is weak. But it was easy to book the room, pay for it, check in and check out. The lobby looks a quite comfortable and cosy. A good service at reception is guaranteed.
