Hotel Mioni Royal San in Montegrotto Terme

The hotel itself is nice and the location is terrific, literally a one minute walk to the train station. The staff are excellent and friendly. The rooms are adequate but nothing to sing about. The bed is not that comfortable and the shower is a little small, but it is very clean. But the real problem with this hotel is it’s “deal” with RCI members. They require you to pay more than $150 per day per couple for breakfast and dinner. In my case I got sick and physically could not eat two breakfasts and two dinners but still had to pay. The breakfast was adequate but very basic. No fresh made omelets or anything like that. The same sausage and bacon every day that was not hot. The dinners were adequate but certainly not top notch, to be honest I would give their “fancy” meals a 2.5-3 star rating. Even after paying $150 per couple to eat. You had to buy water to drink. To top it off, the hotel charged non-RCI members the exact same dinner meal almost $40 per couple less than RCI members paid. If you want a clean, adequate place to stay near the train station this hotel will suit. But, DO NOT take part in their RCI “deal” is my recommendation. Between the points used, RCI fee, mandatory meal costs (plus water) it literally cost us several more hundred dollars to go through RCI rather than just booking separately. We have been very happy with the value we typically get out of RCI deals, but this one was certainly no deal.
