Vegan Hotel La Vimea

Words can hardly even begin to describe how incredible of an experience my wife and I had at La Vimea Vegan Hotel, but I'll try! My wife and I recently got married at La Vimea and we had a perfect day! I'll have to break this review down into sections:

FOOD: The food here in nothing short of sensational! It's easily the best food I've ever had in my life! The breakfast buffet has a nearly endless supply of options from savoury to sweet. I tried my best to sample everything on offer over the course of 4 breakfasts, but couldn't manage it. Everything that I was able to try was so delicious! I only had lunch at the hotel once and that was mainly because I ate so much at breakfast... oops! Lunch was fantastic as well. The 5-course dinner each night was exceptional! There were so many new flavours that I'd never tried before. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted by Head Chef Aggeliki. For our wedding, they crafted a perfect 7-course dinner (yes, SEVEN!) including a little Canadian touch with hand-crafted maple leaves (see photos).

VALERIA (Hotel Owner): Valeria is an amazing human! We started planning our wedding 2 years before the big day and Valeria was there the whole way working so hard to make sure that our wedding was perfect. She found us our photographer, DJ, hairstylist, and had many other recommendations for us. When we arrived at the venue, she continued her hard work to plan the wedding, but also made sure that all of our guests were well taken care of. On the wedding day, her attention to every single detail made our wedding so beautiful. We can't say enough good things about Valeria!

STAFF: The staff were absolutely phenomenal! At the end of our wedding reception, they received a standing ovation from all of our guests for the incredible job they did! How often does that happen?? They made sure everyone was having a great time. One of them made us our seating chart sign without us knowing and another dried flowers from the spring just to have them for our table decorations. Outstanding service from the nicest people!

HOTEL: The hotel is a beautiful, modern hotel with everything you need for an relaxing stay. They have 4 saunas, hot rocks, 2 pools, a gym, a stunning patio, and plenty of space to rest and recharge. There is plenty of space to have a small to medium-sized wedding as well! The location is also stunning with views of the mountains in every direction. It feels like a dream being here.

Overall, La Vimea is the perfect venue if you want a perfect vegan wedding in a stunning location and is also a perfect place to relax and indulge in the best that vegan cuisine has to offer.

La Vimea makes you feel like you are in a magical vegan fairytale. The food is absolutely delicious and beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and gorgeous, and the staff are very friendly and attentive! It’s amazing how it feels like you are in the middle of a nature oasis right in the middle of a town! We had our wedding here and they all went above and beyond to make it as close to perfect as possible. I am so excited to go back one day!

I had an amazing experience here. In general, the hotel was really good. The staff, infrastructure/ facilities, and food were all very good.
Special mention for the dinner. It was truly impressive, even for someone like me who isn't vegan.

However, there were some minor inconveniences:
- The bathroom fan wasn't working.
- The hair dryer wasn't working properly.
- Water pooled in the shower after I used it.
- Breakfast was good but could have had more options.

Overall, I recommend this hotel. It's a great experience!

We love La Vimea. The food is to die for, the garden is dreamy, the staff is delightful and the rooms are quiet. We’ve been there two times and we’ll be back for sure. Location is great to explore the wonderful hiking area all around Naturno. And if you need some city lights, Merano is not too far away.

We spent a lovely week at La Vimea everything was absolutely perfect. Valeria and her staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotless, rooms were spacious and beautifully finished. We had a great view from our bacony which overlooked the garden and the mountains in the distance.
The food was a different level, breakfast a real bounty of choice and the 5 course Gourmet Dinner was the most inventive and creative vegan food we have ever had. All the facilities were spotlessly clean and just added to the experience, 3 saunas, indoor pool and outside bathing area which was cold and refreshing after a sauna. Great walks and cable cars near by and highly recommend hiring the e-bikes as the cycle lanes and safety put the UK to shame.
Would highly recommend this absolutely delightful place and we will be back next year for sure.

We had a short, but lovely stay at La Vimea.
The rooms are airy and comfortable, with nice wooden floor and elements.
5-course dinner in the evening was outstanding, the Japanese dinner buffet amazing as well.
Breakfast was very yummy too, but things like tofu scramble or some kind of meaty / cheesy alternatives (can be homemade) weren’t available and are mandatory in my opinion 😛
Saunas and especially nature pool were amazing.
Unfortunately saunas open late (from 3-7 pm).
We had a Yoga session with Monika which was great, too!

One of the best resort stays I've ever had. Pre trip communication was good. The rooms were nice, spacious and comfortable. The food was the absolute highlight along with the sauna and outdoor pool, perfect for after the active days of exploring this beautiful region! One tip: if you're planning on using public transport, I recommend asking them to send your Sudtirol pass in advance so you can use it to get to the hotel.

Extraordinary.

I’ve been traveling around the world for quite a few years now, seen quite a few hotels… so with best conscience I can say that La VIMEA owns the hotel game.

Staff: very engaged, friendly and pleasant.
Ambience: cozy and comfortable.
Food: absolutely extraordinary.

I could go on and on, but I’ll close with this:

I rarely go back to places, simply because this world has so many great places to offer, but in this case, I’m pretty sure I’ll be returning, rather sooner than later.

La Vimea is beyond fantastic! The best hotel experience!

A truly beautiful, soulful and peaceful place ~ Zen feeling. Nestled between the majestic mountains with stunning mountain views from the hotel!
- Food was so gorgeous, joyful and delicious ~ you can see the chef’s passion through the dishes. Artisan, everything made by hand, high end, but down to earth. Felt like I was in food heaven…oh and when you think it can’t get better, it’s 100% organic, seasonal, fair and mostly local produce. Salads have never tasted better!
- The owner is super lovely as well as all the people working there. You just notice the difference when people love their job.
- High quality vegan cakes and home made ice cream…Yes! Heaven! Just amazing!
- Pet friendly ~ love it
- Nice, minimalistic, nordic style, clean rooms with a good bed.
- Sauna+ Natural pool+ heated indoor swimming pool + hot stone relaxation + yoga + meditation + sound meditation + Ayurveda treatments + holistic massages & energy treatments. Didn’t have time to try all this…only booked 2 nights, but wished we could have stayed longer!!!

It’s a dream come true of a hotel! This hotel made me want to only stay at vegan hotels. Highly recommend this hotel

We had a wonderful stay at La Vimea. Such a peaceful atmosphere with an excellent staff. The food is amazing and creative, and so delicious! The room was clean and cosy. The Garden is offering a unique place to relaxe.
