The room is spacious, bed is very comfortable, with pillow menu if required.
Breakfast is excellent, and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful, with special thanks to Walter chief restaurant staff/butler.
Guided hike tours are included in the room rate and the hike guide Emanuel is very knowledgable, and friendly. He made sure every one was happy throughout the hike from start to finish.
The best part were the starter or dessert nights where the videos show how amazing the food can be.
Apart from that, the pool was great, my room lovely, the wood decoration throughout, beautiful. The spa was to the highest level, including the outdoor hot tub, cold water pool and meditation floating bed, want one if those!!!
Our administrative team did a site visit in early December to organize the details of our trip and confirm the facilities and accommodations were as anticipated. The hotel, director Roland Oberhofer and sales manager Alex Demetz were very helpful during this visit ensuring that all aspects of our planned trip were dealt with.
The hotel which is owned and operated by The Bernardi family is a hidden gem nestled into the mountains in Val Gardena. The views from all of the rooms enjoy stunning and scenic views of the Dolomite Mountain range.
When our group arrived after a long day of travel we were welcomed by the most attentive reception staff including both Elenas, Piazza, Anna, Silvia, Sofia, Simon and Matthias. Many of these staff members also provided conceirge services during our stay. They were most knowledgeable on the area, activities, dining opportunities and just about anything. If they did not have an immediate answer they researched the subject and report back. On our arrival our group was treated to delicious drinks and appetizers organized by the bar staff including Franz, Fabrizio and Stefano.
Once our group was well rested we were most fortunate to wake in the morning and were introduced to the restaurant staff which was headed by Walter and Luca. These 2 worked tirelessly over the course of our 1 week visit to ensure all of our group were seated and cared for during all of our meals, breakfast, afternoon hors d'oeuvres and dinner. Their attention to detail was unrivalled and they took tremendous pride in ensuring the delicious food prepared by chef Reimund and Hubert was presented and served in a white glove manner. Additionally, they were responsible for setting up and supporting our educational meeting room during our daily conference schedule. Walter most notably even oversaw the departure of our group at 4:30 AM and made sure everyone had a boxed breakfast to take on the road. All our dining events were supported by Sommelier Egon with his staff with excellent complimentary wine selections.
Many of our group were fortunate to spend time in the hotel spa which is beautifully appointed with various spas, pools and hot tub.
There were many children who accompanied their parents on this trip who enjoyed the "kids play area" appointed with arts and crafts, video games, ping pong table, wall climbing activities all of which were supervised by hotel staff. The kids did not want to leave this area which was open daily from 330PM. It provideed their parents with some time to spend on their own.
I would be remiss if I did not mention the housekeeping department including Olga and staff. Our rooms were cleaned beautifully each day without fail with all consumables replaced daily. Each evening we received a turn-down service which was a beautiful touch after a long day away.
The hotel is well situated in the village with easy access to all areas by foot including the 2 adjacent ski gondolas. Further the hotel provided free daily drop off and pick up service to those who fortunate to enjoy the ski slopes from all the adjacent ski lifts. This was supported by the in-house ski rental shop which was well appointed and immediately adjacent to the ski storage lockers / valet.
I would highly recommend a stay at this Relais & Châteaux Hotel if you are fortunate to visit Val Gardena. I hope to be able to return and visit again one day. I thank them from all of our group for the tremendous effort this advanced to ensure we had a memorable experience.
Restaurant: we opted for half board. The breakfast was incredible. At dinner, you can choose between 3 menus. There was always a great option for everyone.
Spa: it’s an incredible, multi-floor spa with exceptional variety and cleanliness. The family area is separated from the adult area.
Skiing: The hotel is only a short walk from the lifts but they also offer an on-call private shuttle service. The nearest slopes have options for all levels.
It is by far our most favourite hotel we have ever stayed in hence why we have returned so many times and will continue to. Cannot wait for our next stay!
