Hotel Luna Mondschein – Ortisei ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Barbara and Karin, whose genuine hospitality immediately made us feel at home. Hotel Mondschein is a beautiful, cozy retreat — charming, elegant, and full of character. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is inviting: a lovely library with a fireplace, a super cozy bar, and spacious rooms with a private balcony. After a day of hiking, the spa was perfect — featuring steam baths, an indoor and outdoor pool, and two different saunas: a classic Finnish sauna and a hay sauna, which was a unique and wonderful new experience for me. A special mention goes to Gregorio, the bartender we met on our first afternoon. He was so kind and knowledgeable, helping us choose local wines. The next morning, we were delighted to see him again in the breakfast room — he even remembered my choice of coffee each day! Such a thoughtful and delightful person. The hotel’s location is ideal — just a five-minute walk from the downtown area and an easy stroll to the Sarntal gondola. We also appreciated the indoor parking and the delicious breakfast buffet each morning. On our last evening, I had the pleasure of meeting the brother, who was just as charming as his sisters. I absolutely love that this is a five-generation family-owned hotel, where you can truly feel the pride and care in every detail. We will definitely return! We had a wonderful time in Ortisei, thanks in large part to the accommodations provided by Hotel Luna Mondschein and its staff. They were friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfast was amazing and the wellness center beyond our expectations. They had parking at the hotel and it was a very short walk to the center of town, which helped give our stay a local flavor. Highly recommended

The hotel was a nice boutique hotel, hotel room and service. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The guests were very nice and considerate as well. We appreciated the half board breakfast and dinner. Great food and convenient given the nearby options.

My husband and I visited Ortisei as part of our honeymoon and the Hotel Luna Mondschein was perfect. We had a quiet room overlooking the town, a quick walk away from the main square and the gondolas to go to seceda and alpe di suisi which was super convenient. The hotel also has an amazing spa with steam rooms and saunas to relax in after a long day of hiking around. The staff was so friendly and breakfast was so good!! Highly recommend staying here.

Wow is an understatement for this hotel. From the second you walk in you’re greeted with a beautiful establishment and some of the best staff I’ve ever encountered. They were all extremely friendly and accommodating for any request. The location of the hotel in town is amazing and everything is walkable. We stayed for our elopement pictures and the whole staff was so excited for us. Doing the half board is a must if you want the full experience as eating breakfast and dinner at the hotel we felt really added to our experience. The food was beyond amazing as well! Overall we can’t say that we loved this place enough! We would highly recommend it and hopefully get the chance to stay there again!

Outstanding hotel! We stayed here for a couple of nights in September and it was an all around perfect experience. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, the food is outstanding and all the staff was so hospitable and friendly. You really feel like you’re family here. Wellness facilities are nicer than most high end spa's. I would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Wow what a place! Amazing staff, who made great cocktails, brilliant service at meal times and really great walking recomendations!

The food was amazing too - we loved going to the bar for a pre dinner drink and snack, and also the cake after a long day walking. The evening meals were also very special.

The spa was just the best too - lovely and clean and so relaxing.
