the bar on the roof of the hotel is a combination of luxurious style and an exceptional place with a view of the historic city, incredibly kind, professional staff helped us with stroller to experience an exceptional sitting, even if we were just walking around with family to have a drink and snack

The staff is amazing: Patrizia, Valentina, Manuel and Mateo. The lication is excellent. The rooms and breakfast are not 5 star hotel

Excellent hotel, great place to stay. It is right next to the Cathedral, so the location is in the central old town, yet far enough off the main tourist streets that it is quiet. The room was very well furnished and supplied. We had a very private deck which was a welcome retreat for an afternoon break. Breakfast on a roof patio is beautiful, with a fine view across the harbor, plus great local food. Staff are excellent and helpful, from cleaning people through front desk people. This was one of the best lodging stops on our 1-month travel through S Italy. Highly recommended.

We loved our visit at Hotel Palazzo Papaleo! It was centrally located, staff was amazing and room was great! I would definitely return here during late October or early in the season. (Cautionary note: We stayed here in late October and although there were crowds on the weekend, they quieted down at a reasonable hour. Not sure if the same would be true during peak tourist season, so if sleep is important to you, you may want to have some good ear plugs!)

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Palazzo Papaleo. Before we even arrived, Valentina reached out with very clear communication on where to meet her so that she could kindly take our luggage to the hotel and recommend the best parking facilities close by. Once we had checked in, we were shown to our room by the wonderful Mateo who explained a bit about the history of the hotel and some helpful information for our stay. Our room was gorgeous, with a balcony overlooking the streets of the old town and a gorgeous a little terrace. The breakfast each day was a perfect assortment of fruit, cereals, yoghurt, eggs, breads and cakes and served on their stunning roof terrace. The service throughout our stay was impeccable and we could not recommend highly enough!

Service and professionalism are well deserving of the 5 stars.
Highly recommended and will definitely choose this over many other facilities around the area for both location comfort and for the high quality services provided.

This hotel is really conveniently situated for the old town. You can walk to the beaches and restaurants and go back to the rain whenever you want. The layout of the room we had didn’t leave a lot of room to move around but they moved us and it was a vast improvement. I wouldn’t call it a lux hotel but it’s nice.
Really good breakfast. However, the reason our stay here was fantastic was really down to the staff who are exceptional and don’t even realise. Everything is done with a smile, nothing is too much bother
Patrizia who I thought was the manager but isn’t (and should be) went above and beyond.
Elena was super friendly and helpful, and a special mention for the boys at breakfast.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, wonderful staff. Don’t miss dinner with Chef Laura, best pasta and mushrooms ever. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Otranto!

Beautiful hotel with a lot of comfort and great location next to the basilica. But really exceptional is the hotel staff helping in every way and being amazingly friendly! Thanks for that!
