Lovely visit! We had a lovely time at the Masseria. The location is beautiful, and the main pool is amazing. The food and wine at the Masseria is outstanding, genuinely fantastic. The beach is lovely, but was incredibly busy when we visited in August so consider this if you are expecting the place to yourself

This lovely Masseria was a wonderful choice for a stay to celebrate our anniversary. The location is ideal, a short drive or bike ride to Otranto, but even better, a quick walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in Puglia. The spiral stairs in our 2-story suite were a little tight, but the 2nd floor bedroom was comfortable, very clean and restful. From the moment we arrived until checkout, Ivan and Valentina were very attentive, ensuring that we would enjoy both the Masseria and the surrounding area completely. We appreciated having a good breakfast buffet available before leaving to explore for the day. We ate dinner at the property both nights of our stay, and both menus were excellent.

It was a stunning experience. Very cosy resort with excellent service. A true Italian atmosphere, friendly staff. Beautiful scenery and views. Great pool facilities.
Absolutely delicious food!! Exceptional beach, especially at sunrise, you can spot many unique birds and enjoy the empty beaches.

What a fabulous location.
Within a 10 minute drive to Otranto with its many seafood restaurants- can recommend Horus- and the Centro historico which explodes in the evenings especially on a weekend.
It was also a perfect starting point to discover the Salento coast.
We really welcomed not having to drive to the beach with a short walk to Baia dei Turchi - one of the most beautiful beaches in the area and a quick dip in the pool after. Pool area is lovely. Note there is no bar here or service.
They have mould issues in the breakfast area and in some rooms which is very strange where you have to carry your breakfast upstairs if you would prefer to eat outside- which everyone does due to bad odour.
We had a very bad mould problem with our room S Stefano and despite leaving the doors to our room open all day the odour remains. This set off my sinuses and I got headaches from it and the hotel tried their best but didn’t really want to investigate the problem. So would strongly recommend choosing a different room.
You are really paying for location here as it is very overpriced for what is offered.
We chose not to partake of the dinner offered in the evenings at €38 pp for 4 courses.

We had high hopes but were sorely let down. The photos online do not give a proper sense of what we ended up experiencing.
The rooms were very poorly laid out with cramped bathrooms and limited windows. The living spaces are pushed back to the property line and you are constantly walking through staff areas. The Masseria itself is also very strange and with no communal spaces. Who ever the architect was did a very poor job.
The staff were overbearing and unpleasant. They were constantly trying to get us to make a dinner reservation, even calling the room multiple times after we had declined. Lots of posted rules including numerous “no touching” signs around d the property. The pool closes at 6.
Breakfast was straight up bad. The room where breakfast was served smelled like sewage.
Not worth the money. Stay elsewhere.

The Masseria is LOVELY. The grounds and rooms are very nice - just as I'd expected for a stay at a masseria. The room was very generous in size, the bed was very comfortable and the pool is fabulous! The masseria is a quick taxi ride into town and the team is really so very helpful and eager to make your stay as good as it possibly could be.

Great place where we spent an unforgettable vacation last October. Immersed in untouched nature, the massage room offers all kinds of comfort, managed by kind and caring staff, very professional, responsive and always ready to fulfill any minimal request. The rooms are spacious, well soundproofed and air-conditioned, thoroughly cleaned throughout, exceptional breakfasts and dinners! The sea can be reached on foot or by bike (provided to clients) through the pine forest that separates this place from the famous Baia dei Turchi beach. We'll be back!

This year, for a week in Salento, we decided to stay at the Masseria Mongiò Dell'Elefante, a building located 5 km north of Otranto. The rooms are immaculately clean, and the staff is courteous and ready to answer any request. The morning breakfast is truly fantastic. The buffet has a huge selection of homemade cakes and fruits. And don't miss the savory frisels with tomatoes, meats and cheeses. We also tried a couple of evenings at the restaurant with a 4 course set menu at 35 euros for fish and if you choose meat 30 euros with drinks which have a separate cost. Private parking available. The hotel also has bicycles for those who want to take a short walk or even get to the center of Otranto.
