The location is simply outstanding, with a wonderful view of the sea "golfo dei poeti". The breakfast is very good, with an wide choice of both salty and sweet food. The staff has solved one of my worse problem, i.e. to find a parking for my car! Thank you so much!! Last, but not least, the room was comfortable, clean and silent.

Excellent location close to ferry terminal. The restaurant right below Belvedere ( not a part of the hotel) on the seaside serves delicious food. The rooms are dingy and pricy for their size. hotel Paradiso (same group) located a stone's throw from Belvedere is more modern with a breakfast room that has sweeping views of the harbour. Service courteous and friendly.

After a shaky start with service, and a complaint the staff turned it around and made it a memorable visit

This review is for the restaurant, we were not guests of the hotel. We were a party of 8 ladies accomodated as a walk in reservation. From the first contact the staff were outstanding. Our QR covid codes were scanned on entry which was very comforting. We were seated in a quiet section of the restaurant with a dedicated waiter. Compact but first rate hotel. Porto Venere is the best location to experience Cinque Terre and Grand Hotel is THE place to stay. The Grand Hotel Portovenere is a most beautiful hotel in a prime location. My stay here was the highlight of my trip! Excellent food and service in the small town of Le Grazie. I recommend a visit in the evening to enjoy the small tables lit by your own little light.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service! The setting is right by the water with nicely spaced out tables. The food is truly outstanding!!!The tuna, seafood spaghetti and sorbetto limone were one of the best we’ve ever tried. We can’t wait to come back next year

What a wonderful find! After the craziness of the 5 villages in Cinque Terre, Hotel Paradiso was just what we needed. Hotel is set in a beautiful location, rooms are clean and comfortable and the terrace is wonderful for a drink. But what makes this hotel is the staff. My family had a wonderful experience staying at the lovely Hotel Paradiso in Portovenere. The rooms were all quite comfortable and had a wonderful view of the bay, where we could relax and watch the ships come and go. Breakfast options offered a wide variety of food items and all was fresh. Location was ideal as it was a couple of min from the beach and about a 5-10 min walk to the centre. Restaurants and bars were plentiful. We loved this location moreso than any of the CinqueTerre.

Lovely location, amazing views for this quaint hotel. Staff was very friendly. The name is a bit confusing when locating the hotel via Google maps. It is seen as a restaurant not a hotel. Beautiful small hotel! Amazing location and great service

We didn't stay here, but we came back a couple of times for cocktails. It's pretty and cute with a charming terrace to enjoy the comings and goings in the piazza below. Cocktails were super too. (If I had the money is buy it and turn it into an exclusive boutique hotel - oceans of potential.)

Absolutely first class from a rated 2 star this hotel gives 5 star friendliness and good service, I would highly recommend this small quirky family run hotel as not only as a place to rest your weary head but enjoy the local banter and learn about the history of Porto Venere, which is a jewel in the Rivera - Shall return ?????

To do, the staff was very friendly and professional, boats are up to date, you need to cruise if you stay there, that is so beautiful. I recommend at 100%, listen carefully the to do or not to do, and you will enjoy an amazing experience without pbs. Thank you Alessio !

Excellent boat rental from Alessio who was very helpful and professional. The boats were in very good condition and well equipped and we had a wonderful day exploring the coastline. Highly recommended!

We rented with Alessio the 5.80 meters new engine boat. The place is not exactly easy to find, Google map didn't go to his door! The ship was immaculate, brand new. After the information and safety mesure, and a tour of 4he boat it was just an amazing day with the family. Cost including fuel was 220 (we go slow and easy). If you compare to a 2.5 hours boat cruise with other people, we got our own boat...

We spent our honeymoon here and were blown away at the care of the staff and experience. The location is incredible.

This place is great. The views are spectacular and I think the location (near the end of the strip) is perfect. The hotel itself could use an upgrade but when you spend most of the time at the beach or hiking, the room isn't my first concern. I'd stay here again.

Very very very nice.

A really nice stone house, inhabited by fishermen in the past. You get a very clear view (especially at dawn) of the San Pietro roman gothic church of Portovenere and of the La Spezia gulf. Owner was nice and the island was exquisite, it has two or three mountain-like routes you might want to follow while there and lays close to plenty of amazing locations reachable by guided tours. We enjoyed our stay very much at this lovely small hotel. The room was super clean, spacious, and beautifully renovated, in a great location. Giovanni was wonderful -- he helped with the check-in and check-out, taking our bags by cart to and from the local parking garage, which was a great relief to us, and supervised breakfast every morning. We stayed for one night in Colonna 24 and it was amazing! We arrived by car on a Sunday afternoon and we struggled to find a parking space. We rang Colonna 24 and they helped us immediately in finding a car park they have a deal with for their guests. We stayed 2 nights at Colonna 24 and it was a great choice. Very clean and spacious rooms, with own aircon, 2min from the main attractions of Portovenere. Paolo was very kind to upgrade our room and Giovanni made sure we had the best time in Portovenere. He even managed to book us a very swanky restaurant that was fully booked. We would definitely stay there again!

New and well-furnished rooms have a small terrace in each room, you can have breakfast in your room or in the garden below with a wonderful view over Portovenere, in the shade of the olive trees. It is a little off the beaten path, but the hostess is the absolute best! We enjoyed our room, and Le Grazie is so laid back and chill. The hostess bent over backwards to help us with whatever she could. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to whomever asked!

It is useless to comment on the wonder of Porto Venere and the 5 Terre, if you are looking for a quiet place to wake up in the morning with the spectacular sea view, the residence I gabbiani is for you! Do not overlook the essential free covered parking!

Our stay in Portovenere was amazing! The Gabbiani residence is situated lovely, above the bay, which gives you a marvelous breakfast morning view over the bay area. The beach is right under the house, and you will walk there in 5 minutes. The sea is salty, crystal clear and wonderful! Beautiful views for a solid price. Nice suite with a balcony overlooking the gorgeous bay. About a 10min walk to the main strip of Portovenere and the bus station.

Beautiful restaurant at 15 meters from the sea. We take the menu with starter, first and second water and wine for 30 euro each. The fish is good and well cook.

Nice terrace, OK service. Had a few drinks in there for a rest. The price was correct, but when ordered the coffees my gf really had like a finger. We didnt mind because we were quite tired, we ll try their kitchen next time

What a beautiful location. We tried every single antipasto dish (awesome) and had a few pastas (just OK). Bring your own wine, as the house wine is very modest.

Take a short boat ride across the inlet to this seaside restaurant apparently frequented by many celebrities. Lots of covered outdoor seating nestled among the trees. A sweet breeze. Food is very good. Olive oil, great. Gluten free pasta pesto, great. Tiramisu is what tiramisu should be and the lemon sorbet should be on tap. Seafood appetizers were very fresh.

Nice place on the island of Palmaria. Boat taxi service avery 10/15 minutes will take you there. Very nice location and good food. Prices on the menu are adequate, just be careful if ordering fresh fish priced by weight...we had a surprise on that one.

Beautiful place,best place to stay too if you want to visit cinque terre. Though you need to pay parking in the hotel which is we tought its free😅.Check first the policy when you book.

It’s right on the beach and a reasonable walk from where all the restaurants and shops are. For the price, you’re paying for location more than the actual room. Friendly check-in. The parking lot is a pain in the butt with a one lane entry and exit so when the parking lot fills up and the beach area is busy it’s kind of a nightmare with people trying to back up to let cars leave.

What a great place to stay and enjoy Portovenere. Magnificent views from the windows. Breakfast is goodish. The staff are lovely. The room is comfortable although a little basic.

My daughter and I stayed there while on a trip to Cinque Terra. The family run hotel was excellent. The home made meals were a nice break from the more commercial meals and absolutely delicious.

I had the best food I've ever eaten in this hotel. I stayed with a tour group, and the lovely owner made us lasagna for dinner. 6 months later and I STILL think of how delicious it was. The hotel was cute, not the worst I've ever stayed in. I'd give the lasagna 100 stars if I could.
