This hotel is amazing. It's location is on the shore of the beautiful bay or Le Grazie overlooking all the boats and the village and mountains beyond. The checkin was welcoming and straightforward. The staff are pleasant and professinonal. The room, though small, had a lovely private ground floor terrace with furniture, overlooking the sea, which is only across the road. The bed was comfortable...
My husband, daughter and I have spent a long weekend here and it has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Well technically, we haven’t left yet but I wanted to write this review whilst I can! We wanted to stay somewhere that was traditionally Italian. Where do we start? Firstly, let’s start with check in, we were greeted by two lovely ladies and to our surprise we could check in early...
Our third stay at this hotel and as ever we leave feeling relaxed and well looked after. This hotel has the most beautiful views of any we have stayed in. It is picture perfect Italy. Rooms are basic but spotlessly cleaned every day, in fact the whole place is very well maintained. The pool area is large but never gets busy, some days we had it to ourselves for mornings (and this is July!). Le...
Wonderful staff, great balcony view and so helpful all the time. Really enjoyed their restaurant. The food, wine and service was excellent. Rooms were spotless cleaned every single day. Enjoyed our visit to Le Grazie very much. Super cute harbor and great view from the hotel.
Disappointed with our 5 day stay at this hotel. Unfortunately the promenade outside is under construction which will be fabulous when finished but atm there are views of diggers and workers. The restaurant serves mainly fish with very few alternatives for non fish eaters. Room 309 is very small with twin beds and the view out of the window is non existent. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable...
Great location by the marina in La Grazie (not Portovenere proper which is a 10 minute drive away at the other side of the peninsular) and it is a pleasant walk around the bay. There is street parking outside - not a problem in winter, but I suspect that finding a park in summer might be harder. The rooms are large and spacious, the shower in the bathroom, less so. La Spezia is a short drive away....

Fantastic Stay at Grand Hotel Portovenere! 🌊 I've just had the most magical 3-night stay at the Grand Hotel Portovenere, and I'm already dreaming of going back! This place is an absolute gem, set in a beautifully restored 17th-century convent right on the water's edge. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their kindness and passion for the region truly...
We originally stayed at Grand Hotel in May for a short 2-night stay and loved it so much we decided to return in September and get married in Portovenere. We booked rooms for ourselves and four other guests (including a very distinguished golden retriever!), and a dinner for after our wedding ceremony. We stayed in the Cloister Suite which is spacious, has a lovely terrace and beautiful views of...
Wonderful staff, very helpful with recommendations for activities as well as booking what you might need. Rooms were very clean, views were amazing and the breakfast may be the best I've ever had at any resort including some 5 star hotels in New York. My wife and I weren't sure we'd realize the value we paid initially, but after leaving I would say it's a great deal given what the hotel provides...
For the price, would never book it again. Nice rooms and beautiful views but for the price and what the hotel has to offer it is in complete misalignment. The front desk people were very welcoming and nice but overall the restaurant food was not good and the breakfast buffet was definitely not to par with the “category of hotel” they are striving for.
I can not recommend The Grand Hotel Portovenere enough. From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. When I walked into the room my jaw dropped. I could lay on the bed and stare at the beautiful see right out of the hotel room window. Whenever we needed any advice on anything we went to the lobby and the staff at the desk were always so very helpful. They were...
Extremely attentive staff. The room had a view on the sea and it was very beautiful during the day but also during the night with the lights reflecting on the water. Location, I would say perfect as it's in the city's center, and can easily reach the other towns of the cinque terre with the boat. Also the view from the sea is great, having the hotel easily standout makes you feel you are in a special...

Really enjoyed this hotel. The room was a loft with tons of space. The view was incredible. It was the end of the season and the hotel was very quiet. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was good.
Just wonderful! The room was simple but perfectly adequate for me - the bed and bedding were really comfortable- but the view was simply wow! I left my windows open at night to listen to the waves and boats bobbing just below. The service was impeccable; they really couldn't have made me feel more welcome or done more to make my stay perfect. Absolutely loved this place and really hope to return
Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Not only was the bedroom spotlessly clean but the super comfy bed had freshly ironed sheets and pillows. Breakfast was lovely served in an air conditioned room looking over the water. Staff are lovely as is Regalo, the owners dog who although very old is much loved. Drinks on the terrace before going into town were lovely.
Had an amazing stay. Lovely family run hotel. We received the friendliest welcome from Stefano who also made us great Aeprol spritz on the terrace. Rooms maybe small but make up for it with the lovely view. It was really clean and breakfast although not fancy was all lovely and very fresh and delicious. Stefano always had time for a chat and was a lovely host. They were also very generous with our...
We Absolutely loved our stay here so much that we stayed an extra day! Fabricio, his beautiful wife, their great dog and all of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! They have a great terrace to enjoy some wine and enjoy the view. The town is perfect to make a home base to take day trips by ferry to Vernazzo and the other great coastal towns nearby! Definitely recommending this...
Great views of the Gulf of the poets, very nice people. We loved Porto Venere, and there's a very short walk to the main town from the hotel. The ferry ride to Cinque Terre has great views, and La Spezia is just a quick bus ride away. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but the food in town is very very good.

The location is simply outstanding, with a wonderful view of the sea "golfo dei poeti". The breakfast is very good, with an wide choice of both salty and sweet food. The staff has solved one of my worse problem, i.e. to find a parking for my car! Thank you so much!! Last, but not least, the room was comfortable, clean and silent.
Nice cosy, traditional hotel with stunning views and friendly staff.
Excellent location close to ferry terminal. The restaurant right below Belvedere ( not a part of the hotel) on the seaside serves delicious food. The rooms are dingy and pricy for their size. hotel Paradiso (same group) located a stone's throw from Belvedere is more modern with a breakfast room that has sweeping views of the harbour. Service courteous and friendly.

I spent a few days in a delightful studio flat at the Marina del Fezzano. Located in the village of the same name, it enjoys the authenticity and tranquility of village life. Far from the confusion of the nearby and beautiful Portovenere, reachable in a few minutes by car. The use of public transport, which is frequent, is recommended. The professionalism and courtesy of Eleonora and all the staff...
Higly recommend this accommodation. Apartment was really sweet clean and cozy. Stuff here is very helpful and nice specially miss Eleonora. I would recommend it to anyone!
A truly magical experience. The friendly staff and the cozy house, clean and well furnished. Excellent breakfast, a stone's throw from the sea. The truly unique view! Thank you Eleonora for your patience, kindness and professionalism, I will be back!
Extraordinary welcome, wonderful place, really well-kept rooms and apartments but Eleonora's availability is amazing! I hope to be able to visit you again soon and to enjoy the tranquility and the panorama that only Fezzano has to offer!

It is useless to comment on the wonder of Porto Venere and the 5 Terre, if you are looking for a quiet place to wake up in the morning with the spectacular sea view, the residence I gabbiani is for you! Do not overlook the essential free covered parking!
Our stay in Portovenere was amazing! The Gabbiani residence is situated lovely, above the bay, which gives you a marvelous breakfast morning view over the bay area. The beach is right under the house, and you will walk there in 5 minutes. The sea is salty, crystal clear and wonderful! On the way to the beach, you also have access to a couple of bars and a small foccaceria. The town centre, with restaurants...
Splendid view of the Portovenere Bay and village. Very nice to sit outside and watch boats and the life around the bay. The road runs just below with buses and other traffic, but not overly disturbing. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, although not all with good english. Rooms are spacious and fairly modern. Remember to bring necessities as it's not a hotel with room service and cleaning every...
Beautiful views for a solid price. Nice suite with a balcony overlooking the gorgeous bay. About a 10min walk to the main strip of Portovenere and the bus station.

We spent our honeymoon here and were blown away at the care of the staff and experience. The location is incredible.
This place is great. The views are spectacular and I think the location (near the end of the strip) is perfect. The hotel itself could use an upgrade but when you spend most of the time at the beach or hiking, the room isn't my first concern. I'd stay here again.
Perfect location, but you pay for it. Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice pool, the view. Basic rooms, but clean and spacious. Garage for my motorbike at an acceptable price. We Will be back.
Very nice service and gorgeous location although the interior is a bit old fashioned
Great hotel with very Nice, clean rooms! And best of all was the hotel restaurant, nothing to complain about. The service was splendid and so was the food. Recommend recommend!!

police ticketing cameras right outside front entrance of hotel, do not go near the hotel with a rental car, $200 fine. Staff should tell customers not to drive near the hotel, there is a very cramped parkade nearby that is difficult to drive out of, very small exits. Parking up the street , check signs, rules are different in Europe.
Unfortunately, my experience at Porto Venere and the hotel connected to it was disappointing in many ways. When I arrived at the hotel, I had to wait an inordinate amount of time to check in, despite the time clearly indicated on the website. The person in charge of check-in was not present, and I had to wait for someone to come and open the door for me, which made the beginning of my stay very frustrating...
Recently stayed here and it was a wonderful small hotel. We emailed that we would arrive around 2pm and Philipe the owner was there to greet us at the door. The room was European in size but perfectly appointed and we had a lovely balcony that overlooked the town. I would highly recommend this hotel.
A lovely, small family hotel in a beautiful fishing port on the inlet leading to La Spezia, Italy. The rooms appear recently upgraded and we were provided with all the necessary requirements such as robes, slippers, good quality toileteries and a really comfy bed. The only negative is that, because of its limited size (in a tower) there is no lift to the rooms which are spread over 3 or more floors...
great place, do not pick up your luggage with a car near the hotel door, you will be charged a parking violation ticket....even if you are there 3 minutes. Staff told us its ok, do not do it. views and surrounding area are very beautiful breakfast is in a nice little coffee shop below the hotel just do not park near the door , even on a rainy, low tourist day. There are cameras ticketing
We had a lovely stay. The location is splendid, the staff and manager very friendly, chatty and willing to help, the breakfast delicious. The room was cleaned daily. They also have the restaurant and Forno nearby. You must try their delicious focaccia. All in all a lovely experience!

We were there at the end of August, very warm welcome, polite, friendly, just one thing to say the smell of pee in the toilets was horrible, smelled very bad and this pee was around the toilet downstairs in the round, breakfast lots of choice. 😁
My daughter and I stayed there while on a trip to Cinque Terra. The family run hotel was excellent. The home made meals were a nice break from the more commercial meals and absolutely delicious.
Lovely little family run hotel with very comfy accommodation all in a good location
Relaxed and friendly village with good facilities. Convenient and regular public transport to both Portovenre and La Spezia
Free parking, good breakfast, clean room
I had the best food I've ever eaten in this hotel. I stayed with a tour group, and the lovely owner made us lasagna for dinner. 6 months later and I STILL think of how delicious it was. The hotel was cute, not the worst I've ever stayed in. I'd give the lasagna 100 stars if I could.

A charm for the location. A surprise for the management of breakfast in the garden under the olive trees overlooking Portovenere A big compliment for the warm welcome and the availability of the service Not cheap, but highly effective. Highly recommended
If you go to Portovenere stay here. New and well-furnished rooms have a small terrace in each room, you can have breakfast in your room or in the garden below with a wonderful view over Portovenere, in the shade of the olive trees. Friendly and helpful staff if you arrive late they leave you all the detailed instructions and enter. Really good !!!! Look at the photo of the evening view

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this cozy inn while in Porto Venere! Our hosts were quite welcoming and our room had a balcony with a sea view. There were plenty of restaurants and shops to visit nearby and the marina where we took our book tour of Cinque Terre was less than a five minute walk from the inn. We also enjoyed their restaurant on our second night and had the seafood antipasto which...
We went to Cinqueterre, spoiled with the tuscan food, instead we were surprised. Very nice environment, delicious food and great staff. Fresh ingredients, simply grilled make a great meal. God blessed Italy! It worth to give a try! We ordered Grilled Sea Food and Fish with potato crust. If you are around don’t hesitate, try it!
Beautiful restaurant at 15 meters from the sea. We take the menu with starter, first and second water and wine for 30 euro each. The fish is good and well cook.
Nice terrace, OK service. Had a few drinks in there for a rest. The price was correct, but when ordered the coffees my gf really had like a finger. We didnt mind because we were quite tired, we ll try their kitchen next time

Top location. Food middle quality, unfortunately. Service nice. But the location and the transfer with the Venetian boat tops it all!
What a beautiful location. We tried every single antipasto dish (awesome) and had a few pastas (just OK). Bring your own wine, as the house wine is very modest.
A lovely setting that disappointed on dining experience. Inconsistent service. Some of the food was good, some was fair. Lots of mosquitoes and flies on the patio detracted from our enjoyment.
Take a short boat ride across the inlet to this seaside restaurant apparently frequented by many celebrities. Lots of covered outdoor seating nestled among the trees. A sweet breeze. Food is very good. Olive oil, great. Gluten free pasta pesto, great. Tiramisu is what tiramisu should be and the lemon sorbet should be on tap. Seafood appetizers were very fresh.
Superb location in front of sea , from this location you can see the fantastic San Pietro's church and Doria's castle..
Nice place on the island of Palmaria. Boat taxi service avery 10/15 minutes will take you there. Very nice location and good food. Prices on the menu are adequate, just be careful if ordering fresh fish priced by weight...we had a surprise on that one.

Posto incantevole...un angolo di paradiso. Andrea è una persona molto gentile, simpatica e disponibilissima. Colazione super con vista unica.
For my birthday I expressed the desire to spend 2 days of pure tranquility. I think that nothing was more appreciated than this place. But the most heartfelt appreciation goes to Andrea, the owner, a simple person who welcomed us in a spontaneous and very helpful way. Thanks Andrea for your passion. When we left we felt like we...
Lovely place! Four wonderful days in a B&B with a breathtaking view directly on Portovenere. Andrea, the manager, welcomed us with great hospitality. Comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast (with a view). To go back absolutely.
A really nice stone house, inhabited by fishermen in the past. You get a very clear view (especially at dawn) of the San Pietro roman gothic church of Portovenere and of the La Spezia gulf. Owner was nice and the island was exquisite, it has two or three mountain-like routes you might want to follow while there and lays close to plenty of amazing locations reachable by guided tours. Everything was amazing, the experience and the staff, we absolutely loved it
Extremely friendly staff and very accommodating! They spoke English perfectly too! We had an amazing time.
To do, the staff was very friendly and professional, boats are up to date, you need to cruise if you stay there, that is so beautiful. I recommend at 100%, listen carefully the to do or not to do, and you will enjoy an amazing experience without pbs. Thank you Alessio !
Excellent boat rental from Alessio who was very helpful and professional. The boats were in very good condition and well equipped and we had a wonderful day exploring the coastline. Highly recommended!
High level service Clean and new boats Good prices Thank you very much we really enjoyed, service number 1
We rented with Alessio the 5.80 meters new engine boat. The place is not exactly easy to find, Google map didn't go to his door! The ship was immaculate, brand new. After the information and safety mesure, and a tour of 4he boat it was just an amazing day with the family. Cost including fuel was 220 (we go slow and easy). The bunk beds are really loud while moving just a little bit, but all in all the hostel is really nice, the view is great and there is free breakfast included!
Simple, clean, and had great views. It is only accessible by several stories of stone steps. If you have any mobility issues you might need to take the amount of stairs into consideration. There is also only paid public parking available so be prepared to walk or catch a bus after you park.
Amazing. Such a perfect location and amazing views over the port and harbour. Couldn't be better. Spotlessly clean, bright and spacious. Yolanda at reception was brilliant, friendly and so helpful. Highly recommend
This place is phenomenal. The views are impeccable and the staff is amazing. They did run out of hot water and their WiFi was less than perfect but I still couldn't be happier with this place! I left my $500 glasses there and knew I'd probably never see them again. THEY SHIPPED THEM DIRECTLY TO MY DOORSTEP. I can't get over how amazing these people are.
