Charming Boutique Hotel with a great restaurant. The property is set up in the hills and has great views. Rooms are OK, our friends had to change rooms as it was dark and noisy but our room was good. The charm of the place are the common areas of the hotel where you can find a notch and chill out. We were there for 3 days before going on charter and it was a great place to acclimatize ourselves to Sardinia. Restaurant was very good and service was great. Breakfast was perfect with a mixture of healthy and filling. Wine list if good. Make sure to have a digestive Mitro after dinner or a spritz before. If you get a chance, walk into town and have a traditional plate of flat bread and cheese. The walk is for the fit..

One of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had at a luxury property. Tiny rooms, awful service, pretentious and overpriced food. This is a place that Relais and Chateaux should be embarrassed to endorse. Junior suite is less than 300 meters with literally no room for suitcases, no coffee in room, air conditioning old and creaky and hot water on and off. Pool filter broke while there and what they call a fitness center has two old machines. Breakfast is fine but nothing special and attitude of dining staff indifferent at best. New manager and young staff, lots of work to do here, I would certainly think twice before booking .

I agree with what many have said; this is a 4-star hotel amidst 5-star grounds/common areas and terrific food. The staff is kind/well-meaning, but not polished as per a true 5-star experience. It's an unreservedly lovely experience, but adjust your expectations accordingly.

Great hotel with nice view but overall bad service.
We stayed in Petra Segreta for 4 nights during our honeymoon, and the greatest disappointment came upon our check-out. We were given a total bill with an extra of 400€ of charges that we did not make. We understand it was a mistake made by the staff, but for a 5-star hotel plus a Relais&Chateaux one, we would expect at least a proper and honest apology.

Amazing stay at Petra Segreta! My husband and I recently stayed at Petra Segreta and we were fascinated with this hidden gem about 25 minutes from Porto Cervo, where all the action takes place in Sardinia. The views, the vegetation, the decor, the rooms, the staff, the service - everything was perfect. One thing I will say, unless you are considering not leaving the resort at all, rent a car at the airport because a taxi to visit Porto Cervo will cost about $70 each way and to and from the airport $100 each trip. However, also something to keep in mind, it is a bit hilly to get to the hotel so be sure to arrive during the day.

This hotel was unbelievable. We love small boutique hotels and this delivered on all levels. Amazing location, amazing views, great amenities. The restaurant is Michelin star chef… and let’s say it rubs off on the rest of the hotel restaurants and breakfast! Can’t recommend it enough - the views are insane.

My partner and I recently spent three nights at Petra Segreta Resort in Sardinia for our minimoon, and overall, it was a great experience. The resort has much to offer, but a few areas could benefit from improvement. These are common concerns mentioned in other guest reviews, and since they seem relatively easy to address, it’s surprising that they haven't been resolved yet.

Our room was lovely and immaculately clean, with thoughtful touches like a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon, which made our stay feel special. However, we were disappointed to find no coffee machine in the room—not even instant coffee. We had to call and request it, which was an unexpected inconvenience for a resort of this caliber.

The resort itself is beautiful—nestled in the heart of nature with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It truly felt like a calm oasis, perfect for relaxation.

The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of options. It did seem odd that you couldn’t eat outside and that some breakfast items came with an additional charge. Although we opted not to order those, the selection available was more than sufficient. We also dined at the Osteria restaurant for lunch and dinner on a few occasions, and the food was consistently of excellent quality.

One area that could use significant improvement is the poolside service. While the pool area is gorgeous and well-maintained, we had to repeatedly ask for drinks, and the service was notably slow. Streamlining this service and ensuring that staff are more proactive would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

The resort’s location is ideal for exploring the beautiful surroundings of Sardinia. We spent time visiting nearby beaches, which were stunning (though very busy), and enjoyed exploring the local towns—San Pantaleo, in particular, has a charming, rustic appeal.

Overall, our stay at Petra Segreta Resort was fantastic, and we would recommend it for a short, romantic escape. With improvements in in-room amenities and poolside service, it could truly reach the level expected of a 5-star luxury resort. We hope the resort takes this feedback on board to enhance the experience for future guests!

A fantastic place, beautiful high up in the mountains with a view to die for. The hotel is hidden in the green lush and stoney surroundings. It gives you tranquility and relaxation. The room, junior suite, is nice, balcony OK. It's a water kettle in the room for te. No coffee. Nice outdoor area where you can sit in the evening in the shade. 2 restaurants, one is a guide Michelin and the other one "casual". The meny in the Casual one is also, according to our taste, a bit Italian Michelin style. The same restaurants offer no shade, so dinner is fine from around 8.45 pm. Hotel concierge service did not work for us. The road down is tight and curvy so takes time, but beautiful. San pantaleo, closest village, is a busy very nice place to visit. Remember, if you want to go to the beach club, make your reservations early. It is definitely worth visiting!

Unfortunately, there was a great deal that we found lacking. WiFi was awful, we had to rely on cellular which was mostly 3g, which is pathetic. Also, we were unable to connect to our room but could connect to a different room when we could connect at all. No room in bathroom to hang wet or dry clothes, towels, no room for toiletries basically no room for anything. The restaurant was excruciatingly slow. It took hours to have dinner. Breakfast was the same every day. We had the pizza in the restaurant one night and it was 20 euros. When we ordered it from room service we were charged 50 euros to have a pizza delivered in a pizza box, not on a tray, not with plates, basically it was like a take out pizza delivery service that price gauged us an additional 30 euros for the pleasure of getting a pizza in a box. First and only time we tried to use the spa facilities, they were cleaning it until 10am. Then my husband finally gets in the sauna and was told he had to leave as someone was going to get a massage. Welcome letter was addressed to someone else. Many of the hotels features were not working and perhaps haven't been for some time. On TripAdvisor I noticed that the hotel does not respond to the individual reviews, so I assume that they don’t care about their guests’ experience. They have the same response for every review.

Stunnung location with beautiful landscaped grounds.Individual villas are private and have (if you choose a sea view) the most wonderful panorama from the terrace. The private pool is heated to 29 degrees but my wife, who is just over 5 feet tall and not a swimmer, found it too deep so had to remain on the steps. We did not eat in the Michelin restaurant but did have meals in the alternative one. The food was fine but it is not value for money.Being in the Costa Smeralda means all restaurants are overpriced. On one occassion one in our party ordered pizza and it arrived cold so had to be sent back. This should not happen in a 5 star establishment like this. Otherwise the food and service was very good.Indeed the throughout the service was top class, friendly, walm and welcoming. All on reception were particularly good and assisted in any queries with a warm smile.Housekeeping staff were also very efficient.Room was sufficiently spacious but had limited drawer or shelf space for clothes. The only serious comment I would make is that, in our bathroom, there was a large oval shaped bath with a shower above (no seperate shower cubicle). There was no handrail to assist in entering or exiting the bathtub and this is a considerable safety hazard as it is a particularly high sided bath. The bathroom could also do with a shaving/make up mirror as you cannot get close enough to the wall mirror due to the positioning of the wash basins. Overall we had an amazing holiday at Petra Segreta and I only mention the above faults as it strives for perfection and I hope the hotel will find the comments useful.I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to relax in a peaceful and serene setting and enjoy the rewards of a well run luxury establishment.
