I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast offered a fresh and wide variety of options. Additionally, the view from the balcony was beautiful every day. I would love to visit Lake Garda again in the future.

The staff was nice and helpful, especially Emilio the waiter. We stayed with a dog and there was no problem.

This hotel is located directly in Sirmione and a wonderful spot at the Garda Lake. Hotel rooms are mainly from the last century and not really renovated. Breakfast is outstanding great! One simply pays for the location and the possibility to get through the Traffic Restricted Zone (ZTL) in Sirmione and for that it’s worth it.

Stayed for 3 nights in July 2022. Rooms were clean and mid-sized with a roomy balcony. Pool was fine. Breakfast selection was fresh and varied. Location is a bit past the old town in Sirmione. The front-desk service could be improved, we were made to feel like we were bothering the staff anytime we asked for help or advice. Got more than one email from the hotel to pay the day before check-out but the front desk staff was not ready to do that.

Beware: Booked (via Booking.com) Family room with 24 m2 size, inner courtyard garden view, got 19 m2 economy room with parking and street view (more like double or triple room with one more bed squeezed in, and loud in the morning when at 6am the staff started preparing the reception and seating below us). Hotel needs lots of maintenance, there are loud water pipes. Cleanliness was good, beds comfortable, breakfast very good. But it needs many repairs, new room paint, new carpets, new cabinet mechanisms, etc. Staff very friendly, but not willing to solve the booking discrepancy. Smile and friendliness is free, but customer service is business, and I believe they fail in that hard time. In 15 years of intense travelling — every year about 6 weeks of road tripping, therefore hundreds of hotels — situation like here happened to us only twice... We were looking for a quiet pleasurable experience in Sirmione, and instead we spent hours on line with Booking - who reluctantly, after two days, decided to give us little credit for our next booking, at least... One star is too much for ruining the start of our autumn vacation.

We stayed at Hotel Désirée for 7 nights and from the time we arrived until the time we left we loved it.
On arrival we were greeted by Daniéle who remembered me from my booking call 4 months previous. He is a very nice, polite and extremely efficient receptionist. Every hotel needs a Daniéle to greet their guests. All the staff were fantastic, especially the breakfast staff and Matteo the barman, they were always happy, smiling and very efficient.
The location of the hotel was fantastic, a 2 min walk to everything. The food was beautiful and a great selection for breakfast both hot and cold. The hotel was spotless clean and very covid safe.
I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone that’s looking for 5* service even though it’s a 3*. We will definitely be back again.
