Meals were also good - a wide selection was provided at breakfast, and we thoroughly enjoyed the dinners we ate in the restaurant. The pool area and spa were large enough that it didn’t feel crowded

Some people have mentioned a bad smell from the pool - we did notice this occasionally (it’s heated by a hot spring so you can smell sulphur) but it was never a problem for us

The pool was beautifully warm and has two jacuzzis as well as sauna, turkish bath etc

5/5 as the question is "How would you rate your experience?" Our experience was great. They looked after us well and we had a lovely time in Sirmione thanks to the well-run, perfectly located hotel

My husband and I had a very nice stay in this hotel. The room was very clean and modern. The breakfast buffet was good as well. It is in a great location in the old city center.

The negative comments seem to be based on confusion or unrealistic expectations. I could nit-pick and give 4/5 but on balance, the positives outweigh the negatives. The positives: - The location, obviously

We spent a week in this fabulous hotel, travelling with our two dogs. The suite with view on the lake was spatious and comfortable. The warm pool outdoors has a great view on the lake and the mountains

The thermal pool provided a blissful and relaxing environment, while the spa treatments, including massages and facials, were superbly executed, contributing to our overall rejuvenation

Have been a guest at this Spa/Luxury retreat several time through the years, in different seasons, and always have a desire to return again ! Seems like never to get enough of it ! My stays where usually 4 to 6 nights- thats the amount of time, i figure out, is super important to fully re-charge and go through some of the healing/beauty procedures

Beside the thermal water pools and water therapies there are many more expert procedures in the resort and i would definitely take some rides through the lake Garda , the hotel has a boat deck

After leaving, we ended up shortening our trip to the Dolomites to come back for a couple of days! We felt like we were coming home! From the beautiful hotel, spa, unbelievable thermal pool with awesome massage features, bikes, to great food and friendly service, this place was one of our favorites in Italy (been to Rome, Amalfi, Florence and now Dolomites)

The views are simply breathtaking: on one side, the emerald waters of Lake Garda, and on the other, the majestic Scaliger Castle. The spa complex with thermal pools is a true highlight

We really enjoyed the thermal sulphur pool, which was lovely to sit in and watch the rain. The wellness centre was also well used by us, with the different saunas, steam rooms and herbal tea station

The rooms were great quality, however we wish there was more space to hang towels or at least a clothes horse as we were swimming a lot and had nowhere to dry our towels

The swimming pools are great, especially the thermal pool, which is great to relax in during the evening

We stayed for four nights and didn’t want to leave! The location on the lake front was perfect and we were lucky enough to have booked a room with a lake view balcony where we wiled away the afternoons listening to the waves

The proximity to the old town was perfect - close enough to be able to walk to the town easily but away from the swathes of tourists! The breakfasts were good and they offered a light dinner menu which was also nice

The wellness centre has 2 saunas, a steam room, a salt room, a massage centre, and an abundance of areas to just sit and relax. I honestly couldn't fault the stay. Also, what an incredible outlook over the lake

Fantastic hotel perfect location right at Jamaica beach, wonderful staff, very reasonable prices on food and wine, restaurant does the nicest Caesar salad in the world, will definitely be back, there is also a little tram that takes you down to Sirmione center for a euro, brilliant place to visit

No frills hotel but perfect location with a pool and private access to the beach. The rooms were clean, the front desk service helpful and accommodating, and lunch and dinner at the hotel were quite good

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was exceptional, being close to Lido Beach and the city center. The view from the hotel was stunning, and it provided a serene atmosphere

The room was OK, with a large balcony with a view, but it was shared with 2 other rooms. The facilities were OK, but the toilet smelled. The hotel elevator was terrible. There were also bicycles for rent

Hotel with excellent value for money, friendly and helpful service, great breakfast and a very quiet and pleasant pool. To me it seems more like a 4 star hotel than a 3.

Location is great just beside the bus stop into centro storico. Pool area was fab , clean plenty of sun loungers, lovely and quiet just blissful

Nice hotel located quite close to the «new» town of Sirmione. Positive experiences: The hotel offers a big swimming pool with plenty of sun beds avaliable. There is a bar/restaurant avaliable in the hotel/pool area

And the hotel thermal pool is wonderful; the outside bathing in winter when you can look at the snow caps on Dolomites was a great experience for us. We were very satisfied and absolutely recommend this hotel

I give the full rating although not everything is perfect. The "cheaper" rooms are really small as well as their beds; the breakfasts could provide some more choice; wifi is available only in the reception area

But, you get a huge value for every penny spent here. The hotel stuff is very professional and helpful, parking on site is included, the location is a few steps to the historic center of Sirmione

Great hospitality… all you got to know about this hotel.

Bathroom had a shower, toilet, bidet and hand basin. Small balcony for every room although the views vary. Our ground floor room looked onto bushes and apartments beyond and were very close to neighbours

The Positives The hotel is well placed in a quiet spot outside the centre of Sirmione. It is about 30 minutes to walk right into the centre with plenty of shade, and hotels/ bars/ restaurants on route

The pool/jacuzzi are lovely Food is top notch Raju Ahmed is the best waiter Bed is amazing room service is fast the spezi is great

Swimming pool is a reasonable size with sun beds around. The pool area is cleaned daily and in use between 9am and 7pm. There is a second small pool with water jets. Cleaned daily by very hard working friendly staff

(We had eaten an omelette on the aircraft on the way in!) The language barrier was such that his basic English and my Italian could not communicate that we understood there would be a separate veggie menu to read from, just as the meat/fish eaters were given, which was on the table

The hotel was immaculately clean and the housekeeping and serving staff were really lovely, especially the evening servers and the chap who ran the bar. All efficient and friendly, working very hard to do a great job

Wonderful hotel, situated in a lovely part of Sirmione, conveniently located to all amenities. Staff are friendly and the room was cleaned daily. Lovely roof top pool and bar with super views of the lake

I booked this trip for my partners 40th birthday as a suprise. I contacted the reception team to book a birthday package and they could not have been more helpful

If you want you can also rent bikes or electric scooters from the hotel. The pool area on the roof is also really great

The breakfast was absolutely brilliant, the staff were very friendly and attentive and a great selection of savoury and sweet options

The pool is lovely and well looked after, the bar staff were friendly and looked after us too. The hotel location is perfect, a 3-4 minute walk to the lake and a 3-4 minute walk to restaurants, bars and shops

The breakfast buffet is amazing, sooooo much food. The small roof pool is lovely and relaxed. Rooms are small but modern and clean

Lovely and quiet but 5 mins walk from busy centre. Old fashioned style (in a good way), nice lounge area and outside eating areas. Pier onto lake very busy with only space to sit/lie for a few people, but nice idea

Hotel Serenella exceeded all expectations. This is the second visit I have made and this time stayed in the Bizet Suite, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully renovated

Lovely staff serving quickly and all food fresh and tasty. NB the fruit salads are HUGE so we shared one. Pool area isn't big but there is a jetty 5 min walk away with loungers and parasols which we preferred

The room was clean, modern and big with a balcony looking onto the side of the lake. Only issue was it got quite hot in the room and we didn't want to open the windows due to there being quite a few mosquitos about

Breakfast - served by a wonderful crew - was always something to look forward to: delicious coffee and croissants and fresh fruit, while watching Lago di Garda and the mountains in the background

Really nice hotel with a beautiful private beach full of wildlife, outdoor pool and bar. Great parking and just a short walk away from Sirmione. The staff were really friendly and helpful (and spoke English)

We stayed a total of 5 nights at Hotel Miramar. We were greeted by a very welcoming and helpful staff who are very knowledgeable of the area

I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone that’s looking for 5* service even though it’s a 3*. We will definitely be back again

The only thing I can complain about was a hair dryer - I think something newer would be appreciated by guests. There was a swimming pool at the site and a small bar with great service

I spent two nights in “Mon Repos” with my wife at the end of May. Everything was just perfect, the rooms are clean and even if they are a little bit small I’d say it’s more than enough for a few days’ stay

Having a pool and private lakeshore right next to the hotel was the best (extras like umbrellas, pedalo boats and kayaks - all free!) Top value for money

We have been staying here for many years and find it charming. It has a lovely pool and lake side beach where you can borrow kayaks and pedalos

WiFi coverage was a bit poor (we had a corner room, it was sometimes working there, sometimes not) and shower cabins are somewhat small (my dad is a tall Russian guy :)), otherwise honestly nothing to complain about! Been there twice already

The location is amazing - close to the town of Sirmione (5 mins by car), but far enough away from the bustle of it. The staff was very friendly, eager to provide you with best attention and service

Such a lovely hotel! Rooms are comfy and clean, nice swimming pool,free parking and the breakfast is delicious! But the best part of this hotel is the staff who go out of their way to help with advice on how to get around, where to eat,etc

Stayed here a couple of times in a family room in July. Nice small friendly hotel with a resident cat. The swimming pool is massive, not so many chairs/umberellas but we always seemed to find some one spare

We asked if we could stay at the pool area for a while, and it was no problem at all, and we could just let the car stay at the parking if we went down in the town area

We only stayed one night, but we're definitely gonna return. Small older beautiful boutique hotel, with a great atmosphere. I do not mind at all that the rooms are "outdated", gives so much soul to the place

However, a little cramp even for me (5'8"), as I turn to close the bedroom door, I would bang my elbow into the hallway closest doors. If I were to come back, I'd definitely have this place in mind

Reception staff friendly and Robert in the bar is fabulous. There is a kettle in room but coffee/tea is not replenished on a daily basis for free. Each sachet of coffee is 1 euro

Start to finish an excellent experience. The hotel is a little challenging to arrive at if you are coming by car, but the staff was friendly, helpful, and were able to help us navigate the process with ease

The rooms are spotless, the bar is nice, view of the lake…beautiful location…but it was the people who we will remember the most. On our motorcycle we were welcomed warmly. Shower was so hot and wonderful

The hotel's hot spring swimming pool is great. It's very convenient to reserve the parking lot in advance. The hotel is right by the lake, the castle is very close to the hotel, and the central location is very good

The location is right in front of Sirmione, and you can see the lake from the hotel terrace. It was really nice that it even had a spa.

Stayed 3 nights as part of a birthday trip around northern Italy. Room was ready for us when we arrived around 1430, we stayed in the newer block with a view of the pool and lake

reception ladies were very helpful and lovely! Best service we have had in italy so far!! Location is fantastic with a bus stop directly outside the gate, all staff speak great English for us to understand

The bar staff were amazing! we had thomas during the day he was prompt and helpful! and another young barman at night who helped us order pizza delivery on the phone to make for an easy dinner! very accommodating! The pool was well maintained and clean

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Dogana. It is a nice little hotel with a good pool area. The arrival via bus was really easy, because the bus station is directly at the hotel

A small pool if you don't want to be in the lake. If you're renting a car and flying to Verona, rent from Desenzano and get a cab there from the airport

Cozy hotel, in the south of Sirmione, close to the lake and the local shuttle bus stop that takes you to the castle and the old part of the city. Fairly large pool with poolside loungers

Stay and eat in the evening and is well with it. Bistecca ai ferri recommended. 10 mins by car or shuttle to Beautiful Sirmione. 15 mins to Peschiera by car and very close to the major routes to Verona or Milan

Angelo, Vicenzina, Giorgio, Francesca and Marisa are fantastic hosts. Very biker friendly, breakfast is amazing (home made pastries, light fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, all of it awesome)
