Essentially this is the quieter refined hotel at the end of the island with outside green space to relax in. Sirmione old town gets busy with the tourists off the boat, and there's nothing better than walking away from it all after a long day and heading to this wonderful retreat (it was fully booked out at the weekend and still felt peaceful).
Breakfast is excellent
Room 40 with corner balcony was excellent. Wasn't a huge room, but who needs it get on the balcony for the views!
View was of the Lake incredible, three sides and a wonderful view of the Roman Villa ruins and a massive olive grove.
Staff were fabulous! Shout out to Alessandro (sorry if I spelt it wrong) he was great.
The pool was closed, but never mind, the beach below the hotel was great for a paddle (large rocks but flat and lovely, although steps down to it so be aware).
Food in the restaurant was out of this world, try the tuna if they have it.
It's a bit busier in the area at the weekend, but I liked sitting on the balcony seeing people charge up to the grotto (Villa ruins).
