We’ve just come back from an absolutely exquisite stay here. The hotel is stunning, small but caters for everything you need. The food is fantastic and the services are perfect. The best thing about this place though is the staff. Absolutely everyone was wonderful, polite and nothing was too much trouble. They were the perfect balance of attentive but gave you space so you knew you could just ask for anything when you needed it. I’ve never experienced a true ‘home away from home’ feel in a hotel until I stayed here - I can’t recommend it enough. We loved it so much we are booking to come back in the cooler months!

First time in Lake Garda and what a beautiful hotel to start our four nights trip around the lake. Absolutely love this hotel. The entire staff is super friendly. The spa / pool area is facing the lake and I could have just sat there all day, staring at the view. I love the indoor-outdoor heated thermal pool. It was especially convenient as the weather outside wasn’t warm enough. The best part about this place - it’s on the lake and it has its own beach. Our room was facing the lake and felt quite prestigious. The location of the hotel is great though a bit of a walk to the downtown where most restaurants and shops are(10-15 mins). I highly recommend this place especially if you want to swim in the lake. This hotel and its staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and have the best experience during your visit. I truly can’t wait to be back there.

This hotel is stunning, I truly believe its the best in Sirmione. The beach pools and beach are amazing. We had a ocean view room and got to enjoy the stunning views at night also. The thermal baths and the actual spas are free to use all day they were some of the best I've tried. The service was excellent Yakima Safia was so nice and helpful as were all the staff. It is also in a great location to the old town and castle.

OK, lets start with why I haven't given this hotel 5/5. Our room was impossibly small for 2 people, we couldn't pass each other around the bed. The room was so small it was impractical. Water isn't provided everyday & there is no cold water machine to refill bottles - odd in 2024, especially an expensive hotel. The spa was great but the huge unused relaxation area of the spa would have been better used for a larger gym (gym was a tiny box room with no space for even a gym mat).
What I did like: the location, the lake beach, the service by the pool/lake, the spa, the free bikes were amazing, the thermal pool. The staff were so helpful and polite. Parking is free if you book direct.
I would be tempted to stay again but the room size vs price would prompt me to look elsewhere first.

Fabulous boutique hotel, only a few minutes walk from the centre of Sirmione. Staff were great, very efficient, and discreet. The outdoor thermal pool and summer pool were amazing. The little beach is right on the Lake. All in all a gorgeous hotel, which we hope to return to soon!

Just finished a two day stay at the hotel, I really enjoyed are stay and found the hotel very nice, clean and modern. The spa is excellent and both me and my boyfriend had very nice spa treatments. I think the facilities make up for a lot of this hotel and it’s experience. The spa, outdoor pool and ocean front really give the feeling of relaxing and luxury. We had a room on the first floor with a front facing balcony with a view of the car park but I still enjoyed having the balcony greatly and didn’t mind the view. I found information available easily around the hotel and all staff very nice, I think maybe the hotel misses something in the service element, it’s perhaps trying to operate in the luxury hotel market without fully providing the service to match, I picked this up from small details and the food definitely needs some work considering the old town is about a 10 minute walk I would like the food at lunch/snack time to be better tasting and quality so you can stay around the pool etc. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would most likely visit again.

- Located in the middle of Sirmione, but no supermarket, restaurant, bistro close to the hotel
- During lunch time: streets are fully packed and you are not able to drive by car
- Sun deck can only be used on charge! That has not been stated anywhere on the website; no one used the deck…
- Breakfast was ok, but not special: I have expected a high quality Italian/ intercontinatal breakfast. Everything is self service: coffee is made out of a standard Maschine (no barista Maschine), no egg orders possible…
- The complete hotel smells like old fish; nowhere else at lake Garda I have recognized this
- Room/ hotel/ pool area is very used and does not look well-kept
- House keeping is impolite, does not respond on greetings…

From the moment we stepped in the hotel, the feeling was just fabulous. It feels like you just transferred from the outside world into a tranquil, relaxing atmosphere. The staff was just lovely. Patient, smiling and always there to assist with whatever you need. They gave us a warm feeling and cared about our experience as their guests. The hotel itself and its facilities are top level. Variety of pools, cold ones and a thermal hot one, Huge jacuzzi, multiple saunas. There's an answer to whatever mood or desire the guest has his heart set on. The long deck right into the lake is just terrific. The scenry is breathtaking. Beautiful views, in front of the mountains, right on the tip of the lake. And when you want to get in the water you just go down the ladder from the deck. You just can't get enough of that. We spent hours on that deck. The spa is world class! Got to see it in my last day and felt sorry we hadn't used it more during the stay. Our room was the deluxe room and it was spacious, with a big balcony, big shower, well equipped and with a comfortable bed. Everything is sparkling clean, tidy and smells great. The breakfast was very good with a broad selection of good food, many fruits and sweets for desert. Everything was tasty and the ingredients were of high quality. Great buffet. The food at the bar and the hotel's restaurant was good as well and priced reasonably. The location is great, a short walk away from the heart of the city, the beautiful old town, and all the restaurants, pizzerias and ice cream shops. I usually don't go to such deep extent in reviews unless I really had the time of my life. Well you can easily tell that this is exactly what I had. I hope to return in the future. Thanks guys for an unforgettable vacation 😊 much love.

We stayed at a few hotels in Italy through our little road trip but Hotel Ocelle absolutely was the stand out hotel for modern decor and exceptional service from the staff here. We were met upon arrival in the carpark, check in was efficient and talked through wonderfully by Laura (I remembered as we had the same name!) The hotel is also situated well with only a 10 minute walk to the castle (and I am a slow walker!)

If customer service is important to you, this IS NOT the hotel. Upon check in, the receptionist rudely informed me that I had booked incorrectly. (This was after I called and emailed to confirm my reservation details.) Instead of simple admitting there was a misunderstanding and discussing a solution, the receptionist repeatedly insisted it was my fault for missing a drop down menu that selects the number of guests. (I might add the booking website is not very user friendly.)
If Italian is not your first language, all information will be your responsibility to find and verify. We were repeatedly given misinformation with confidence from staff. As examples, we were told Saturday checkout was at 10am, that we should arrive an hour before our spa treatment to use the facilities and that a martini was made from straight vermouth because the bottle said “Martini”- all inaccurate.
The rudeness of the manager, Monica was the topping on the cake. She refused to speak with me in a private way, rudely interrupted me, and even referred to my feelings of discomfort, unwelcomeness and anxiety as impossible. In other words, the entire staff dismissed any relevant issues or requested confirmations.
All of this is extremely unfortunate because the property is beautiful, well maintained and wonderfully logically situated. My hope is that the property manager or owner reads this and takes customer service programs under urgent consideration. A training of the entire staff on customer service is absolutely crucial. I will not be returning as a hotel guest. And I most definitely won’t be using it as a special treat for friends visiting the region.
